Food and coffee delicious. Sad that the largest coffees were 12oz. Could do bigger for sure. Had to get 3 just for my morning needs! Their loaf cakes were delicious and their variety great. Service was okay. There was a pretentious vibe to the place and not an “easy to fit in”. You could tell the out of towners for sure. Super busy - across from NC State and packed with students doing work so hard to find a seat.

As a self-proclaimed coffee fanatic, I recently had an interesting visit at Sir Walter Coffee in downtown Raleigh, via a friend who knew I loved coffee and wanted to surprise me as I was coming off a COVID-19 quarantine. 😷Let's talk about the star of the show: their caramel macchiato. It was great. The rich espresso perfectly complemented the creamy caramel, creating a harmonious and delicious concoction. Every sip was enjoyable. But it's not just about the coffee; it's the entire experience. The staff at Sir Walter Coffee deserves a special shoutout. They were laid back and attentive. A great quality in my opinion, and it made my visit comfortable. The ambiance at Sir Walter Coffee is chill and inviting. Whether you're looking to sit outside and catch up on work, have a friendly chat, or simply unwind with a good book, this place has the perfect atmosphere for it.If you're a coffee enthusiast like me, Sir Walter Coffee is a must-visit in downtown Raleigh. The caramel macchiato is worth the trip, and the fantastic staff and chill environment are the cherry on top. It's a lovely gem in the heart of Raleigh's coffee scene. ☕👌*Historical Note: Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618) was an influential English adventurer, writer, and nobleman during the Elizabethan era. Sir Walter Raleigh's legacy as an explorer, courtier, and contributor to English culture endures to this day. His voyages laid the foundation for English colonization in the Americas, and his cultural contributions left a lasting impact on the Old World.Unfortunately, his life ended tragically with his execution in 1618. He was charged with conspiring against King James I and was beheaded. Ouch!!!

An amazing coffee shop with a relaxing atmosphere, everything from tables, high chairs at the bar, to lounging chairs. They have a large menu, pastries and food, and a menu of coffee cocktails at the bar. I had the chocolate overnight oats that came with fresh berries and an item from their secret. I came back the next morning for an amazing fresh press. The staff are so friendly, and though the place is busy, it's mostly people getting items to go, so it stays quiet. You can easily find a place to sit either outside or away from the door.

Sir Walter Coffee is AMAZING! I have been to coffee shops all over the world from Thailand to Latvia to South Africa and this place easily competes with any of the best coffees I’ve had anywhere! I love unique coffee drinks and Sir Walter Coffee exemplifies that - they have the most unique drinks I’ve seen in a coffee shop in the United States. It’s just awesome! You need to stop in and read their menu (especially their specials) to see how crazy some drinks get! I got an iced coffee that had ginger, cinnamon, cardamom (I think?), peach and maybe some other spices in it and it really was more of a cocktail than a coffee - it was that good. It was of course non-alcoholic, but if you want to take things to the next level, they even make their own coffee cocktails with alcohol and some of them look amazing! If you want to feel fancy and have a coffee experience unlike any other, head to downtown Raleigh and check out Sir Walter Coffee! It is worth the drive - I can promise you that. I will 100% be returning next time I’m in the city. Best coffee ever!

A solid coffee experience with an edgy feel to the shop. I got here before 8am on a weekday and there was no wait. The staff were friendly and the barista was entertaining, being pleased with his own latte art he took a photo of my drink before setting it on the counter for pick up. The drink was quality and what I would expect from a place like this. They have two sizes (14oz, and 16oz) for dine in espresso beverages which is nice. Plenty of seating but I could see this place filling up on the weekends. It appears to also be a bar but I can speak to that as I just came here for coffee. Worth a stop as well as a revisit the next time I’m in town.

The coffee here was amazing. The cashier was super nice and friendly and got my coffee needs supplied. It was so amazing. The morning bun and the cinnamon bun or honey bun was awesome too. This place is awesome! 321 Coffee hires individuals with developmental disabilities to work the counter and make your drinks. The staff is outstandingly friendly and do a great job making the drinks requested. I got nitro cold brew that was delicious and my wife got a mango iced tea that was equally as good. The pastries are great and the cost is quite reasonable. A wonderful place to stop and get some good coffee and treats.

I ordered an Iced vanilla latte, the standard beverage, solid, everything you want from an iced vanilla latte. They have a good selection of alternatives: kombucha, matcha, tea which is a must imo. Pastries too. Service is fast, although it’s worth considering I went in the middle of the day. Great location if you’re walking into downtown, not huge inside, wouldn’t recommend remote work there

Breakfast biscuit with Bacon or Sausage! Top recommendation. Get here early, it’s super busy for a reason, it is easier to get a table outside so don’t expect to get a table inside you’ll wait for a long time. We also loved the key lime cookie and we came back here every day. So yummy!

Well I have not been to Raleigh in awhile, but taking a moment to stop in at Morning Times was a great choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience from great coffee, calming and homey seating upstairs, clean bathrooms, and a hard working staff. Only two people were there and they seemed to take care of the whole place. I didn’t try any food but if I was in town again I would stop by for some to try it. Well done!

Visiting from out of town I landed on Morning Times because it had the word coffee on the sign. Service was a warm greeting, the grits I had was delicious, the Biscuit was tasty along with the homemade jelly ( that's what I call it), the coffee tasted delicious - a unique taste that I appreciated because I haven't tasted any unique coffee served up black and hot anywhere like this place served up. The oatmeal and pecan cheesecake are a must try too. This place delivers on excellent friendly service, great location, and great food. Stop in to try it out and I think you will agree.

The ambiance of this coffee shop paired perfectly with a cold, rainy morning. I decided to get a hot matcha oat milk latte and my friend got a hot oat milk chai latte. Both were a little too sweet for our taste, but not overwhelmingly so. The morning bagel did not offer much flavor, but the textures were comforting. It benefited from the hot sauce that was offered (with other seasonings) on a shelf in the corner of the cafe. The ambiance was very memorable, however. My friend and I both commented on the cozy warmth that the brick walls and wooden floors offered. The upstairs area is filled with friendly chatter from the other patrons. A lovely place to spend Saturday morning catching up with a friend.

We stopped here for breakfast on our roadtrip. We got the morning sandwich, a buffalo chicken wrap and a PBJ for our son. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Also got a cortado and a Peppermint mocha for the road. Loved the cortado but the peppermint mocha did not taste like mocha or peppermint, it was a bit off. Service was excellent and seating was very comfortable. Heads up that it’s not a stroller friendly place which is expected since it’s in the middle of the city.

Black & White Coffee is the best! I’ve been to their Wake Forest location a few times, but I love that this one in Raleigh shares the space with Videri. Immediately when you walk in, there is a wonderful aroma of chocolate and coffee in the air. They have a great selection of coffee bags available for purchase, and there is something for everyone on the coffee drinks menu. I ordered the coffee soda which was incredibly flavorful and refreshing. We also bought a bag of coffee to take home that we can’t wait to try – it’s supposed to have flavors that are reminiscent of grape soda!

I recently started coming to Benelux since it was taken over by a new management team/owners. The space is open and cozy at the same time. There is plenty of seating and they've created different areas within the space for different type of experiences. Meaning, there are comfy spaces for reading a good book or the paper, social spaces for meeting with groups, and more conventional work seating with electrical outlets. Most importantly, the staff are welcoming and serve up some great coffee. It doesn't hurt that there is a story behind the coffee that makes me happy to support Benelux.

The last time I was in the Cameron District in Raleigh, I wanted a coffee, so I tried the Benelux Cafe. I ordered a Sugar Free Vanilla Latte. It was excellent. There was no bitter taste, and the ratio between the shots, flavoring, and milk was on point. They did a great job with the atmosphere for what it is, but I will never understand why builders sometimes locate the bathrooms on a flat wall facing where people sit and, in this case, very close to the preparation area. I mean, one table is within a few feet from a bathroom door. Anyway, the coffee is delicious, and they also offer food if you are hungry. This Cafe is a must-try if you want a delicious coffee.

Good spot to study or 'work from home'. It's a large space with plenty of room to sit and isn't too loud. It's locally owned and they roast their own coffee! The staff is nice, helpful, and willing to make great suggestions; the barista, Guli, is very friendly. The bathrooms are large, but just average. They could be a little cleaner, but it wasn't bad... Just average.Coffee is good for a locally owned roastery, but not the best in Raleigh. I had the Americano. The shot was pulled well and the service was fast! The food/pastries looked good too!If you are near the village district and looking for good coffee and a place to hang out for a while, this is it!!

I went there first time, it took a minute to find it specifically if you are coming from the other side and not from right front roadside of it. Nondescript front but inside is beautiful and record holding. There was no orange juice, so I make do with lemonade. Here comes the very charming and informally sweet owner Mr. Jeff, who entertained us with lovely conversations, actual facts and free sampling of mint chocolate and chocolate covered pretzels. He regaled us with the history behind the wall to wall panoramic painting totally made up of variety of coffee beans of various hues, being in Guinness Records for such feat. Decorations are eclectic and variety with French flag and some jewelry for sale. Clientele is mixed, mostly on younger side and few college crowds. Good vibes, clean bathrooms and good book collection and must visit at least once place…

This is my go-to coffee shop in the downtown area. I’ve found that I can count on them to be open when other coffee shops aren’t (e.g. super early in the am, New Year’s Day, etc.). The woman who I assume is the manager/owner is very friendly and always ensures that my experience is top tier. She offers me a pup cup when I bring my doggies around and she is welcoming and warm. The coffee I’ve tried is delicious, I typically get oat-milk lattes flavored with lavender or just breve lattes and the drinks are always scrumptious and hit the spot. Highly recommend.

Sets the world standard for what cold brew is supposed to be! My wife said this morning that she wanted coffee and handpicked 42 & Lawrence….I owe her due to this pick! She had the taj mahal and I had the lavender cold brew with lavender cold foam. We split a croissant that is the best one we have has in Raleigh so far as well. I have never been to a coffee shop where one of us, let alone both of us, ordered another coffee before leaving an establishment! We will be back tomorrow God willing❤️

The location and barista were excellent. My cinnamon roll was tasty, and my coffee was good, but not great. The coffee is the only reason I took off a star, and in all reality it would be half a star but Google doesn’t have that option. The drink was good, it just wasn’t well made and that’s my only complaint. The barista was very friendly and greeted everyone with a ln enthusiastic welcome when they entered. Overall a great experience and worth a visit.

This place was awesome. My wife and I popped in for an after dinner espresso and it was DELICIOUS! It was the perfect temperature and it was served with a small side of sparkling water. Not to mention the atmosphere in the store is smooth like butter. They have bar seating inside and a couple tables and chairs to sit curbside. We will be back.
