Pretty good spot for coffee in the North Loop! The space here is very beautiful, it's huge and nicely decorated. I really liked the ambiance and it seems like a great place to work or meet up with friends. The coffee is pretty decent, and they have cool merch on display. The pastry I tried had a great flavor, but it was very dry --- I think they might benefit from having a door on the back of the pastry case. Overall, I think this place is pretty good and worth checking out if you are in the North Loop.

One of my new favorite coffee shops! Very large, spacious place. Great decor, lots of natural light and greenery. Quite the selection of seating options to fit your needs (tables for working, couches/comfy chairs, etc). The coffee cake was good but a little dry (however we went towards the end of the day. I imagine in the morning it would have been delicious).Parking: We walked there but I think there was street parking nearby.

Beautiful location! Loved the high ceilings and plant wall. Too many couches for my liking. The Lemon Bar Latte was PHENOMENAL! Going to need to take a trip back into the city just for that! Not strong lemon flavor and the cream cheese added a nice tang!Just wish there was some building history on a plaque somewhere.

This place is top-tier from the location to the coffee! Wow factor hit as soon as I entered the cafe. It has a huge seating area with high ceilings and is thoughtfully decorated. It is spacious and roomy and full of beautiful plants. The atmosphere is serene despite the constant flow of traffic and packed seating area. Backstory gets a much deserved 10/10 for quality, service and cleanliness. Can’t wait to go back!

Great coffee spot in the north loop.I don’t know enough about coffee but the vibe in here is great. Gorgeous layout. Only issue might be that its a victim of its own success and its very hard to find a seat sometimes. Parking is also tough if you’re from out of town. But aside from those two variables you should definitely check this place out

I get an iced dirty chai at pretty much every coffee shop I go to, and this may have been the best one I’ve had. My wife also really enjoyed her white mocha. The vibe in there is great, if you want a place to do some computer work or read a book.

This is a great place and in a very funky area. More space here than the original Spyhouse. I think there are many high tables and these are not very comfy if someone wants to do work while enjoying a drink. The low tables with the benches I think might be more comfy. The parking situation is not great but it is what it is. Plenty of parking on the street too.

Spyhouse Coffee offers a delightful rustic ambiance that’s perfect for both work and relaxation. The cozy atmosphere is complemented by a welcoming staff, making it a great spot to enjoy your coffee while being productive. The combination of a cool vibe and attentive service makes Spyhouse Coffee a must-visit for those seeking a unique and enjoyable coffee shop experience.
Good coffee, really neat building. Tasty specials. They know how to make a good cappuccino. Lots of seating. Can get packed at times. Outdoor seating in-season, though Broadway is not a scenic spot to sit. Parking can be a chore when the complex is busy. Sometimes you can park on the street. The spyhouse locations are some of the best coffee houses in the cities. Popular place and it does get busy. Highly recommended. Often quiet before 8am

A very different vibe compared to the one in North Loop. They did such a great job to turn the atrium of this fixer upper office building into a space people can hang out, work, and relax. Because of the layout, even with many customers around, it really never feels crowded. The staff were very friendly and courteous despite short staffed. A cup of matcha latte was one of the best I’ve had in town. Will definitely be coming back.

I grew up in the Camden neighborhood. I was so happy to see that Houston White opened a coffee shop here in Get Down Coffee. I love the clothing brand and love the brands outlook of community. The coffee shop has a great atmosphere and nice staff. I don’t drink coffee but the hot cocoa was very good. It’s a very small space so 4-5 people and you’ve got a crowd, but I’ll definitely go back!

What a great & unique place. Shown here are the brown sugar banana coffee & berry scone with frosting which I didn't know I needed. Coffee had a robust burnt-caramel flavor that somewhat worked, but overall I wasn't ready for it. Despite this I really dig how they even had this flavor, among others moreso than the product itself. 'Nilla wafers in coffee?... Nice! Scone was great - just more moist than I prefer, but that's because it was fresh so no problem there. My favorite thing about this place however were their compostable cups. The ribbed cardboard felt so good to hold & never scolded my hand. No need for those pesky thin cardboard sleeves.

This place is fun and uniquely decorated. The menu has some more uncommon pairings and it was fun to stop back and try the different options. One time they were out of the fundamentals of the drink I ordered and the barista had tried to make something similar with what they had, which I appreciated. Tried a seasonal drink, all day and all night. It was different but good. Wasn't super sweet but not over bearing with an earthy taste and the foam had salt which was the different part but not bad. Also tried the cran orange pastry. Had a well balanced tart and sweetness to it. Only downside was the person who took the order was clueless to the menu and making suggestions. Had no opinion whatsoever when asked. Other than that, I'd recommend this place to try something different.

We had a really nice time at Five Watt! It has a cool vibe and spacious interior with lots of seating. We got there at 9 am on a Saturday and there were lots of empty seats and by 10 it was getting pretty full! We snagged the couch area which was nice and cozy with the sun streaming in.I got a vanilla latte with cinnamon (basically their atomic blondie without the bitters) and it was really good, albeit slightly less sweet than I prefer, but luckily I had brought some of my own sweetener and was able to sweeten it to my liking. Other than that, it was a very good latte and espresso. I brought my own 14 oz mug and they only charged me for a 10 oz but still filled it up! I was very appreciate of that.I will add as a heads up—the couch area was pretty run down—the carpet, arm chair, and couch were all visibly dirty and look like they could use a deep cleaning.

Five Watt is a favorite of mine for coffee. It has a spacious dining room. It accommodates groups of all kinds from those wanting a more intimate space to large groups. The baristas are some of the finest. I’m never disappointed except when I take my last sip of coffee. It takes discipline to savor a cup of their coffee because it’s just so darned good! I love the vibes here and the drinks are always so tasty. My only suggestion is that I'd wish they'd ask if it's "for here" or "to-go". Quite disappointing to pay $9 for a latte, envisioning sipping on it out of a nice mug while studying, just for it to come out in a paper cup. Not to mention, very wasteful to use paper cups as the default.... that being said I love this coffee shop and will continue to come back and try to remember to ask it to be in a mug.

Overall great experience, but the music was deafening. I love Dogwood's coffee, but I am very disappointed in their service. To summarize, I had 20 minutes to run in, grab some beans and an espresso. I did not receive my drink within 20 minutes and had to leave without my drink. I reached out to dogwood through their email explaining my situation and got no response.Details: I had about 20 minutes to kill and figured I had time to run in, get some beans, an espresso, and be on my way. I walked in, grabbed my beans and was third in line. I figured 20 minutes is plenty of time to get my espresso. The cashier was chatting with the current customer and it took about 5 minutes for that one customer to get their order placed. Cashiers were changed, and the customer in front of me and myself got our orders placed in a minute or two. Just under 15 minutes should be plenty of time to get my espresso right? Apparently not. Turns out a group ordered before I arrived so there were several drinks that had to be made first. Normally, this is fine and I have no issue. However, in the roughly 15 minutes I had left, a total of 3 drinks were served, not counting the one hot chocolate that went to the customer who took 5+ minutes to order. I try to be understanding of an order queue, but 15 minutes for 3 drinks is not acceptable. The main barista making beverages seemed more interested in watching customers than making drinks. There was a noticeable line of already poured shots waiting to be made into drinks. I decided to leave without my espresso since I did not want to be late to my event.I reached out to Dogwood to explain my situation to see if they could help. I never received a response from Dogwood. I was very disappointed in Dogwoods customer service. I believed they would remedy the situation, but I never received any acknowledgement or anything. They make great coffee, but I cannot stand behind their service.

Love the vibes. There are tons of seating options, so it's a great place to work or hangout. The match here was pretty good, but it leaned more towards the milk heavy side.

Great espresso and Rishi tea choices. A few fresh bakery items. Didn't try the coffee. Definitely a great place work. Plenty of outlets and the background music was a good fit and not loud enough to disturb conversation or work.

Incredible coffee, fun atmosphere, and they offer some packaged gluten free pastries from Sift, a GF bakery in South Minneapolis! Made my day!

Second time being here, first time enjoying my drink at the coffee shop. The staff felt genuinely nice and greeted me immediately. The menu is extensive and I tried something different and got the chaga chai. Menu said it had hints of cacao and mushroom - accurate (even if not my most favorite flavor). Seating inside was full so I sat on the patio-plenty of seating out there and perfect on a fall day!
