In curating a list of the top 7 coffee shops in Fort Worth, we considered several key criteria to ensure a well-rounded selection that represents the best of what the city has to offer. Here are the factors that guided our choices:

  • Quality of Coffee: The cornerstone of any great coffee shop is, unsurprisingly, the quality of its coffee. We looked for places that source their beans responsibly, roast them to perfection, and brew with care and precision.

So end of the night, we still had 2 bottles so i poured one out togo and midway pouring the 2nd the bottle girl looked at me like I curb stomped a puppy and grabbed the bottle. She poured it all out into the ice bucket while maintaining eye contact to lock in her employee of the month badge and save the day from evil alcoholics 😂 please make her manager 🙏 respect the dedication

I heard about this place from my cousins and friends. So I decided to give this place a try with my sister. Parking was limited. And the coffee was mid but the service was pretty good. The area is like a bar but the coffee area is small and most of the customers were sitting outside. We went to go get boba afterwards.

Fun spot to sit and study or hang out with friends! The place was popping when I got there, both in the amount of people and the music selection/volume (it was loud and hip hoppy). I got a lavender vanilla latte, which was really good! Though I don’t know if I can vouch for the quality of their coffee in and of itself. They seem to use their own roast of beans, which always makes me a bit nervous. But all in all I had a good experience. Except for parking. That was hard.

Had a delicious peach cobbler matcha (seasonal specialty!) & a ham & cheese croissant (ate before I could take a pic - too tasty!). In town for a football game this cute shop was a pleasant surprise, will be back for more.

Well, I just found my new favorite coffee shop. I saw their Harry Potter drinks advertised on Instagram and I just had to try them. We got the butterbeer and the polyjuice potion, which were both fantastic. I absolutely love that they have unique flavors, like ube foam. There's some drinks on their regular menu that I can't wait to try, specifically the lavender latte. Also, Ampersand doubles as a bar, which is beautiful on the inside. I wasn't there for bar hours, but their Harry Potter decorations made the atmosphere charming and cozy.

We stopped in mid-Saturday afternoon and ordered a Black Rose Latte and Vietnamese coffee. All staff were very friendly and helpful and genuinely seemed to enjoy preparing our drinks. Our coffees were prepared quickly and given to us right after we ordered. There is a nice selection of unique lattes that I have not seen elsewhere, in addition to traditional flavors. The Vietnamese Coffee was excellent and on par with the ones served at my favorite pho restaurant. I also enjoyed the unique smoky flavor of the Black Rose Latte. We look forward to trying other drinks the next time we are in Fort Worth.

Usually go to coffee shops to study and I'll judge them based on their actual coffee, the vibe/space, and the people the coffee shop attracts.-Roots has very tasty and strong coffee. It is also fairly priced.-Their music is not obnoxiously loud; and is very, very conducive for light background noise. I don't have to wear noise cancelling headphones here and its great for people that may be more noise sensitive/distracted easily.-The people I have seen here are usually working, studying, or are just there enjoying themselves pretty quietly.-The space is open and airy, but not too bright to blind or give a headache. It is also very cozy with velvet chairs and a separate area thats a couple steps more elevated.Overall: Love roots, wish I could catch more locations.P.s: Didn't try the food so not sure about that.

This spot has great vibes and super friendly staff! But, oh boy, the coffee, which should be the star of the show, was a total letdown. I tried the iced vanilla with oat milk, and it wasn't my cup of tea, especially for $7.50. BAD COFFEE!!!

Roots Coffeehouse serves up a memorable experience with its friendly staff, beautiful interior, and delectable espresso - a true delight for coffee connoisseurs. The ambiance is warm and inviting. However, be prepared to face some challenges, as seating and parking can be limited. Despite these minor inconveniences, it's highly recommended for a quality coffee experience.

If you’re looking to get craft coffee that is incredible…look no further! I tried three different coffee shops during my time in Fort Worth and this place takes the top spot.Coffee: I think you could order a regular drip coffee and be happy here! The coffee tastes amazing. You can tell that the beans they use are high quality. If I lived here, I’d visit every day.Atmosphere: It’s designed with a modern flare to it and the artwork on the walls is intriguing as well. There are plenty of tables and places to sit at. It’s a cute and comforting setting for a nice cup of coffee with friends or a date.Price: You pay a reasonable price for what you get. The coffee is incredible!Parking: There is plenty of free street parking in front of the shop.

Always on the lookout for a new coffee shop and even though I work downtown, I just found out about this place from @PantherCityPalate on IG and thought I’d give it a try.Apparently this place has been here for over 5 years and with staying power like that, you know it’s going to be good.I had a breakfast taco and I’ll cut to the chase here: homemade tortilla. 100% amazing taco. I paired the BEC taco with the salsa verde and already can’t stop thinking about it.The cortado was fantastic and the light roast has the perfect bite.I think I found my new favorite coffee shop downtown.

Drove by this place tons of times. Finally I decided to stop in. I’m not sure why I thought it would be bigger inside, but it wasn’t. No big deal, it was a quaint little place and the furniture was comfortable. Some obvious places in plain sight were dirty and if simple things like that aren’t cleaned up I question how often and well the hard things to clean are. Staff was friendly and nice, no complaints their. They suggested the matchmaker, as it was one of their most popular drinks. However, I’m not sure why? That was hard to even get through half of. It tasted like I was drinking middle eastern food.
Made a stop for coffee on our way to Houston. I ❤️ to support local coffee shops because they are all different and bring in their own magic coffee love. Vaquero Coffee is a great coffee shop in downtown Fort Worth. Parking is a bit complicated, but that to be expected in downtown. I tried this coffee shop today with my husband and was thoroughly pleased with the experience. The barista was friendly and engaging, there was plentiful seating, and parking was free. The service was prompt and our food and drinks were hot and fresh. I got a white chocolate mocha latte and prosciutto grilled cheese panini and enjoyed both. The latte was flavorful but not overwhelmingly sweet which allowed for the flavor of the espresso to come through. My husband got the beef chimichurri empanada and pumpkin spice latte and enjoyed it as well. The only slight downside was the price as it was quite steep, however, such is to be expected in coffee shops these days. We will definitely be back in the future.

Really really good coffee, both the espresso and drip coffee. Plus they fill your cup to the top which is nice. Too many places leave the top once empty. They had limited baked goods/pastries but they do offer them plus breakfast sandwich and burrito. It’s quiet and wasn’t super busy any of the morning I visited. Took my wife and son to the stockyards on a wet drizzly day, perfect for a cup of coffee. Wife got a mocha, they made a little design she loved it.The bad news:my son and I got black coffees. Arguably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. EVER. I asked for something else and they said no. I tried to drink it. Just Horrible. If u like drinking dirty mushroom water, then you’ll love it. As i pored mine out, the guy beside me says, well that’s not promising. He takes a sip of his and spits it up. He leaves it there and walks out. So nasty. I kept my cup so I could refill with water because they wouldn’t give me a water cup. Boooo

I came to this coffee shop and ordered a matcha latte and a pastry . I went to get some work done and the WiFi was not working. The WiFi was not working for anyone in the coffee shop so I let the barista know. The barista just shrugged it off and said that it must be my equipment but everyone was having issues. Not just me. Updated to add: the owner replied and said free parking in the building garage with ticket validation!Such a cozy little place in the heart of downtown! Amazing tea selection!! I have tried several of the teas and haven’t been disappointed! The coffee is great as well as the pastries and other goodies they have. Great for grab n go or sit and relax. Walking distance from many offices, or street parking for a small fee.

Love the shop and location. Good downtown vibes and cozy atmosphere. Very relaxing and warming to the soul. I had the pleasure of getting to know some of the staff and that alone makes me admire and support this place for the welcoming and amiable personality they easily express. I have tired most, if not all, of their lattes and they are as delicious as they look. Very flavorful and the staff can be creative with the flavors if you ask them to. The food is just as good and cures that famish need. I'm glad to have experienced this place and had memorable conversations with the staff. Job well done!
