Just like the one I used in Italy
When I recently went to Italy, using one of these pots was the only way to make coffee. I ended up really enjoying the coffee this little pot made and wanted to get one for my house – especially to make espresso for espresso martinis. This one looks just like the one I used there (even if likely a different brand) and makes coffee just as tasty. Easy to learn to operate on gas or electric stove.

I bought this to try out, to see if I’d like using a Moka pot. I do. I’ll likely replace this one with a higher quality one, and give this one to a friend to try out. It’s not fancy, but it works and is easy to use and clean.Updated Review. So I’ve been using this moka pot almost daily for coming on 2 months now. For what I paid, I can’t find any fault with it. It came with an extra gasket too. There is a learning curve, right temp vs grinds, vs amounts vs etc etc. My one suggestion is to buy either 58mm or 60mm round paper filters. Wet the filters and place centered on the bottom of the pot before screwing together. I tried 2 filters today, and got an even richer results. …and buy a milk frother too. I’ve had so much fun making pretty layered latte’s/cappuccinos. I pour the frothed milk into a clear cup, then layer in the coffee out of the moku pot, starting and stopping occasionally. It makes for a beautiful presentation of stepped layers of coffee and milk with the milk foam on top. The bottom layer is almost white and the layer under the foam is the darkest. This also makes for a great cup of coffee, as you get the intense dark layer first, as a wakeup call, then is mellows out as you continue drinking through the layers. Takes some practice but you can get several distinct layers, or a smooth gradient. I’ve had so much fun making this part of my morning routine.Edit 2. I ended up buying another one. The handle broke on about the 3rd use. Amazon made it right, and I got another one. This one had a metal bur on the inside of upper screw pot. A screw driver made short work of that, and it seems fine otherwise. Quality control on these may not be the best, but as a way to try out MoKa pot brewing, this is the one I’d recommend. I tried several other cheap brands, and even 2 different Bialetti’s. I prefer this one. The one upgrade I’d make, if you like using it, is to upgrade the silicone ring. The ones made by Bialetti are just a bit thicker, and seem to make a better seal.

Check correct package size before using.
There was some complaints about low yield. Had I not checked packaging i would of had similar experience. My first Moka pot was only one cup. Despite 6cup ordered. I was sent wrong size pot due to improper tagging. I am new to Moka pots. My first brew had too fine of a grind and I had burnt coffee. I adjusted to more of a drip coffee grind and second pot came out good. Youtube helped with me learning proper operation and patience. So far I cannot fault pot for anything. It will take some practice to optimize use. Pot is great price wise compared to leading Moka pots.

I’m glad I read reviews of this product before using it. Users have mentioned melting handles (they’re plastic). We have a gas stove, so we are careful in how we position the unit on the burner & the height of the flame. So far so good!Be sure to properly insert the gasket so the grounds don’t end up in your coffee! We had an issue with that before we realized we hadn’t assembled it correctly.Makes a nice coffee pretty easily & quickly.

Just What I Was Looking For – Makes Great Latte’s
I was looking for a way to mimic a Starbucks latte, particularly an iced latte. After a little trial and error I can say that I create grande iced latte’s with ease. I highly recommend this unit.I will also say I use it on an electric ceramic top stove.It speeds up the process to use preheated water but not required. My wife’s electric tea kettle works perfectly for this purpose

May explode without warning
We’ve used this a handful of times and today it decided to blow up and explode hot coffee and grounds all over my husband. It shot off and broke the light above out stove and coffee went EVERYWHERE!! Not sure what happened but scared the poo out of us

I love it!
This is a great product. Fresh quality taste. I set it between 4 & 6 on my stove top. Takes about 4 minutes to heat up. I hand wash and dry it after each use, if not it will rust up (I have learn from my Grandparents.) I love that it comes in all black, that way it has more of a modern feel to it.

The coffee I make comes out pretty smoothly and it seems to have a double filter which really stops any grounds coming up during the heating process and so overall it’s a pretty solid piece to have in my kitchen.

No matter what I did the coffee had an extremely burnt taste.(Update)Originally, I was unimpressed. Originally a 1 star review. But the company behind this product impressed me. They saw my review and reached out, told me what I was doing improperly (I was thinking it was more of a campfire coffee pot and was running it too hot) I got decent use out of it after that, provided the portion size was a little small for what I was used to. However, I spent many mornings enjoying my cup watching the sun come up before work. Unfortunately it became time to retire the pot recently, the company reached out once more providing suggestions. I’m extremely impressed.

Listen. If you didn’t read reviews before purchasing, you deserve to have only a partial measure of the lovely benefits of this coffee device. I bought the 9 shot pot. Why? I’m in law school. Either I hate myself, or I need that much coffee to deal with my day to day life .This.pot is awesome. It allows me to make enough coffee to make it through life, and it does so very well. The best thing I can say is, don’t boil your got-danged coffee. I use a warmed pot (hot water from the tap) and I wait until the pot is a’steaming, then I swap it over to a cold burner. It (the nine-cup model) makes two Law Student cups of coffee, and it basically has saved my actual life.

The timeless design of the classic Espresso Maker
The product works and it is of good quality. I bought the 6-cup model but it is too big for my need. I really needed a smaller size, probably the 3-cup version. I’ll be buying it in the near future. Almost forgot, what makes this particular one good in my opinion is that the metal doesn’t stain like my old Espresso maker.
