Love this machine
I purchased this machine 6weeks ago annd absolutely love it. For the price point, it is a real bargain. I first saw these machines while traveling Europe this year. It doesn’t make steamed milk, but for quality construction, and great taste, it’s perfect.

Nice, sleek addition to my kitchen
Thus is a very durable and sharp looking appliance. Even the plastic parts are very, very sturdy. I got this to replace Nespresso machine so I could use my own brand and have different cup options, all of which I get with this machine. I like the option to make a cup even stronger than preset dose of beans. The cup light that shines when brewing is very elegant looking. No water leakage whatsoever and the use bean pods are easy to compost. The coffee comes out hot and stays warm. The taste is superb.I agree with other reviews that the rear loading water tank can be awkward. I just position it sideways. You could also put it on a slide out counter try if you don’t have enough clearance. The additional Amazon warranty was decently priced.

I use it often
I love my unit. It’s easy to use and clean. I do wish the water reserve was a little larger for the US units. I hope the frother units make a debut in the US too. I will say read the directions in regards to the unit. Waxy/shiny beans will have a hard time in the hopper. To get around it, freeze the beans prior to using them. Only use enough for the day when doing that method.

Perfect cup of coffee EVERY time!
We were at a B&B in Maine and finding the coffee maker was one of the many highlights of our trip! Each cup choice is perfectly and reliably made!…and easy to operate as well.We opted to order the machine and include the Tchibo Coffee and it is absolutely delicious! The machine clearly indicates what it needs…more water…more beans, etc..I save the coffee grounds and use them in my garden..If you are a ‘coffee snob :)… as we are…you will be VERY pleased!

Other Reviews Almost Swayed Me
I’m glad I ignored the naysayers about this purchase. If you’re upgrading from a Keurig with a large reservoir, I can understand how refilling the smaller reservoir on this model might seem inconvenient. However, let’s be honest—it’s no more effort than using most other coffee makers on the market. This coffee maker is well-built, appears durable, and, most importantly, brews coffee at an almost perfect temperature with excellent taste. Each cup comes with a perfect foam cap. Additionally, the large cup setting on this machine is comparable to the one on my old Keurig.

The details that I wanted to know – hopefully this helps you!
Love this machine. Hopefully, these are the missing details you need – I was concerned about the answers to these questions, but, with the exception of the small water tank, I am very, very happyDisclaimer: I only wanted a machine that made coffee without the waste of pods, not espresso.1. Height: Yes, at 12.4 inches in height, it will probably fit under your kitchen cabinets. However, the absolute minimum you’ll need is just over 20 inches (and you’ll have to be extremely dexterous). Ideally you’d want 22 inches or more, because you will need to take the water tank out often (see pics). So either you need a spot with no cabinets, or, as another reviewer pointed out, you can buy the “Nifty medium appliance rolling tray”. This device allows you to slide the unit out very easily (by pressing down the button of the tray) to refill the water tank (which you will need to do often if you are buying this for “large coffee”). The nifty’s button gets covered by the drip tray of the Tchibo: voila! If you’re overly concerned with looks, then this tray may not be for you, but i definitely lean towards being an aesthete, and it looks fine to me (though i have just ordered the pure black one as the silver of the tray vs the chrome of the Tchibo is a bit bothersome!). I would not recommend buying this machine if you’re going to be bothered by the looks of the nifty tray AND you have to have it under a cabinet because, well, see #3. See photos for tank extraction and nifty appliance tray2. Coffee size. I like my coffee black and want it to fill a regular mug, so I was wondering whether 8oz was enough liquid. At the end of the day, the size is just fine for a regular mug – I don’t feel as though I’m being short-changed3. Water tank. This is laughably small and the most problematic issue. As above, I only use this machine for 8oz coffees. You could probably make three 8oz cups on one tank IF you make them all in a row. If you don’t, then the machine will send some water through for a self-clean after it has shut off after a few minutes. In this case, you can only make two 8oz cups before refilling, and, as others have pointed out, the machine will just stop midway. Why they include an optional expansion compartment for more coffee beans when the water tank makes less than 3 cups is one of life’s mysteries. For me, neither 1, nor 3, are problems. If you are ok with the looks of the nifty rolling tray (and presumably there are better lookers out there too), and you only make a couple of cups a day, then it is no problem to slide out the unit nightly to refill the water tank (obviously, if you’re an espresso drinker then the water will last a lot longer). What does the coffee taste like? It’s absolutely brilliant. Foam, and everything. All-in-all there are a few foibles, but as I wrote at the start, I am very, very happy!

Make great espresso,
Machine is way smaller than my old de longhi magnifico. Fits and looks a lot better in my kitchen. Makes great espresso. I don’t miss that it doesn’t have a frother. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful coffee!
The coffeemaker works great – the hot water that comes out first warms my cup. The brewed coffee is as good tasting as the coffee I had in Germany.Wish it had an American Size cup/mug. Noise level is fine – less than a standard mixer.

Such a great cup of coffee – and a really nice machine!
The media could not be loaded.
I have had this coffee maker for over a year now. I like it so much i bought one for my son and his wife as a house warming gift. It is easy to set up, super easy to maintain and makes a fabulous cup of coffee. The size is perfect for the counter – not too big and its a pretty machine. I descale it monthly – but it tells you when to do it – so easy. i like the single serve – i don’t waste a pot of coffee when i just want one cup AND I can use my own beans! No plastic pods in the garbage! Highly recommend!

Enjoying so far!
I came from making my own espresso, and not enjoying the cleanup process to trying this machine out to make life easier in the mornings. At first I did not enjoy the strength even with the extra bean setting but I quickly got used to the taste. Realizing I was just making coffee way too strong lol. Other guests have commented that they enjoyed the coffee at the regular strength setting as well. The machine started to make a rattling noise about 3 weeks in, I got concerned so I reached out to customer support and they did not respond. However, the machine still works so I’m sticking with it.The main shortcoming is the water tank. It is too small and if you have cabinets on top you have to pull the machine out in order to take the tank out and refill it. I have since addressed that issue by adding a float valve plumped directly in and I now love it.As far as longevity this is my second month, so I’m not sure how long it will last but I am hopeful.

Excellent Coffee Machine
I was recently in Germany and experienced some of the best coffee ever. I decided to buy a coffee machine, I had seen the Tchibo in their store and started my research. During my research I looked at the Phillips and DeLonghi coffee machine. and reviewed the videos etc. Delonghi is complicated to clean and too many parts. The Philips was very nice but again too much to break down. The Tchibo is German manufactured and really well made. It is solid and simple to clean and maintain. It makes an excellent cup of coffee. The crema is perfect and the taste is amazing. Make sure to use non-oily beans which you can get from a coffee store or a place that has good coffee beans. Don’t shortcut with low grade oily beans. I love the look of the kitchen counter and solid BMW/Mercedes type construction.

Best coffee ever
We purchased for the office, but we didn’t have a sink to dump water or fill the small reservoir. I brought it home where it works great. The reason it works great home is because I have it near the sink. This unit requires you to start your cup of coffee with a cup under the filling area. it runs about 2-3 ounces of hot water to clear the line (which is great if you have a place to dump the water) you also need to make sure you have a cup there to receive the drained water. I generally rinse the cup I am using after the drain happens. The reservoir is very small, so you are always filling it or checking it. I think it holds 3 cups (large cup) in the reservoir. One issues I have with the unit is, when there isn’t enough water it will make a partial cup and do nothing to warn you. When you refill the reservoir, it finishes the job. It drops the spent coffee biscuits in the tray below. it holds about 6 biscuits before you need to empty. Really easy to discard the spent coffee. We love the coffee it makse and it is really easy to manage. I will purchase a new one when this is no longer opperational. great unit but needs to be near a sink for easy use.

Easy barista style coffee
Simple instructions. Before you get to far to make your coffee take a picture of serial number which is on the bottom of the machine. You can make espresso, 6 oz, or 8 oz. Plus you can make each stronger. You can also get hot water when it rinses. Comes out at 1/4 cup at a time. Plus you get three coffees to try.Cons. Water tank is at back of machine and you pull out to fill. The grinder you have to clean is on left side. So you may need to place it in your house with those two things in mind.Pros. Great cup of espresso or americano and easy to use.Did not buy the steamer so I can’t comment or review.

Superb coffee—easy brewing
I was skeptical. I was wrong! This machine is tremendous!PROS:—Easy to use—as simple as a Kuerig with none of the bad coffee or plastic pods. Do watch all of the videos on the manufacturers website and read the entire manual. This material is critical to running the machine and caring for it long term.—Fantastic coffee that offers several custom options to increase the boldness of the flavor if you like strong espresso or coffee. (There is a bold button on the machine and you can change the size of the grind on the grinder.) I recently bought a latte at a coffee shop and it could not even compare to the quality of what I can brew at home with this baby!—Cleanup is not a daily chore—more like weekly. I love this. Just turn it on, let it heat up and rinse, press the button to brew and then walk away! No more rinsing a coffee pot!CONS:—It is a little cumbersome to move the unit around to get the water tank out—but it’s not a problem for me. I did notice this issue as a con in other reviews. That’s it. In my opinion this was the best money I’ve ever spent on coffee. Pair the Tchibo with a quality milk frother, some decent beans and the Ember mug—and you can make better lattes and cappuccinos at home than what you would pay for at coffee shops. For the average Joe—this coffee machine will be your last coffee maker purchase. I love mine and look forward to a cup every morning.

Can it produce an excellent shot
My concern when ordering the Tshibo machine was the question can it produce a high quality espresso shot. Over the years I have had a Gaggia, a Nouva-Simonelli, a Saeco, and a Flair. The Flair produced the best shot but requires many steps. If the Tshibo could emulate the quality of the shot from a flair then it was worth evaluating further. With the grinder set to the finest setting and the boost function being utilized it can produce an excellent shot. It passed this most important test. I am very happy with the machine. It is compact for a fully automatic machine, the interface is easy to understand and use, and it is easy to maintain. It produces a consistent shot every time and is relatively quite while doing so. To my eye it is elegant looking. Keep in mind that it does not steam milk. I highly recommend it.

Best coffee maker I’ve ever owned.. and I’ve had plenty!
I’ve owned this coffee maker now for just about six months and still really enjoying it. Was a little skeptical at first after seeing the ad on Instagram and finding it on Amazon to purchase. I guess you could say I’m a little “old school”, I don’t think I’ve spent much more than $100 on a coffee maker before so spending what I did for this one was a little out of the norm but happy I did..You can tell a lot of time and research went into this machine to make it work the way it does.My machine gets used on an average of four times per day, yes we love our coffee. Sure the water reservoir is a little small and would be nice if it was a little bigger but it really isn’t that difficult to fill up a cup of water and pour it in the back, also to add beans every other morning into the top section is simple. I take out the grinder which is simple and also very well made and rinse it under hot water about once a week which seems to be fine as it keeps it going perfectly. If there’s anything I’ve noticed that maybe could go wrong with the machine it would be the motor which brings back the grinder after it does its thing, seems like it’s under a little stress at times but so far it’s working fine. Thanks again Tchibo for making a great machine!!

Delicious coffee
The quality of the coffee is far better than any of the pod-based coffee maker – the convenience and the speed like those pod-based without any of the plastic waste. The clean-up is also a breeze. It is not a light machine but that’s a good feature as an indicator of quality in such an amazingly compact machine.

Awesome machine – great coffee
This thing is awesome. It is easy to use, UT brews a beautiful cup of coffee or espresso, and it is easy to maintain. I was looking for a grind-brew machine that was compact, easy to fill and maintain, and that could replicate the amazing coffee I had in Paris. This machine does all of that. The water container lifts out of the back, so if you have it under a cabinet (like I do), you have to move it forward to get to it. But it is small enough so it is easy. Coffee grounds are disposed of in a small plastic unit that you access from the front. Very easy. The water tank only holds enough to make like 3 full cups of coffee, so it is not meant for commercial use. To me, the coffee this thing produces, it’s smart and clean design, and it’s price make it an ideal machine for most homes. Will be a Tchibo customer for life.

Excellent Value!
We purchased the machine three weeks ago and are very happy with the coffee. It has a slim design and easy to fit in different spaces. There is an extender to add a higher quantity of beans. The only drawback would be the size of the water container. It needs to be refilled about every 4 to 5 cups. It’s still a great coffee maker with Rich full flavor.

Fantastic coffee
This may seem like an expensive purchase, but compared to other automatic espresso makers that cost thousands, this is a great value, especially if you don’t need a milk frother (we just like Americano). There aren’t many bells and whistles. You can make espresso, a small Americano, or a large Americano. There’s also a bean boost if you want a few more beans. At first I was disappointed that the large Americano only made an 8 oz cup — but I found out you can adjust this quite simply and it will save your setup. So I like that I can set up my large Americano to have a few extra beans and water, while my wife can set up her small Americano with the normal amount of beans and less water. About the only complaint is that the water reservoir is empty after making 3 cups, but it’s not hard to fill. Sound wise, some people complain it is noisy, but they must not be used to the noise of a burr grinder. Compared to my stand-alone burr grinder, this unit is remarkably quiet. Overall, it is a wonderful machine for the price and makes awesome coffee with natural crema.

This is a great low-cost single-serve coffee maker!
After using a Jura Capresso E8 that belonged to other family members for many years, I realized I loved the way the machine ground and customized each cup; however, the price was out of my range. The Tchibo nearly duplicates the process of that expensive unit, and does not share many of the customization features, but comes at less than 1/5th the price, and produces a wonderful cup of coffee. It will NOT make a great cup the first three or four times it is used; it is important to realize that the user must take some time with it and “dial in” the grind, and then try both the bold and non-bold settings to hit the perfect profile. Mine took around 5 or 6 pours with adjustments in between each, to reach the point where I was satisfied with it. It is worth the small effort in my opinion. It’s very easy to clean and maintain, also.Highly recommended for people who love to grind their own coffee and get a world-class cup of coffee every morning without the work of the French press or even a drip machine!

Best tasting coffee ever!
This machine is very easy to use. Put in your whole beans, pour in your water, press a button, you can hear it grinding the beans inside. Out comes the best aroma and the best full flavored coffee I ever had! I discovered Tchibo when I stayed in Germany. The local cafes serve tchibo.I stayed in my friends families apartment, and there on the kitchen counter was a strange looking coffee machine. The one they had was 15 years old. They asked me, “would you like a tchibo?” I asked, “what is a tchibo?” So, I had the choice of espresso, cappuccino, or just regular dark coffee. The next few days, I tried them all, and was so surprised coffee could taste this good, and right from the bean! I was sold, and hooked! German quality, and seriously the best coffee in the world!!

Recommended it! Love it ❤️ ☕️
I enjoy using this coffee maker. It is made with high-quality materials and is easy to operate without making much noise. The size is just right, and the grinding function works well. Cleaning is also easy, as you only need to clean the brewing unit once a week. I previously owned a Nespresso machine, which I also liked, but I prefer to use bean-to-brew coffee to avoid using aluminum pods. Before purchasing this machine, I was concerned about its performance, but after reading reviews, I realized that cleaning the brewing unit is important and it’s easy to keep the machine in good condition.

Select, grind, brew,… ahhhh!
This coffee maker combo does it (very nearly) all.Once the simple setup is done: remove packing materials, load the bean hopper with selected beans, and fill water reservoir,… it is time to select your brew.OUTPUTThe machine brews an espresso, and small coffee, or a large (nominally 8 fl oz) coffee. Or you can get hot water. But I can get that from my faucet, so NBD on that.CLEAN RINSEThe machine runs a quick clean cycle on startup resulting in a small amount of hot water which you can use to thin out the coffee or just to warm the cup (nice!).GRINDING+BREWINGWhen the coffee is size/type selected, it feeds beans from the hopper, grinds it, brews it up and dispenses through a spout that can be moved up and down for different sized cups. You can select espresso and two sizes of coffee. The coffee it produces (for me it was Kona blend) is excellent.Nominally, you can only brew up the three sizes and it has a default grind density. You can’t adjust the water/brew temperature or the bloom time.CUP SIZEIt will only make an 8oz cup at the largest setting, so requires a couple of passes if you want a bigger mug full OR, by holding down the size/type button while dispensing, it will change the output volume (Oooo…). This volume setting then becomes the default. Note that this will tend to weaken the brew a bit: more water, same amount of coffee, you know Also, it doesn’t have a milk steamer so I find I sometimes have to microwave a cup after adding my milk to the coffee—I like my coffee very milky. Since it makes really good coffee, these slight limitations are not a problem for me.GRINDThere is a grind density knob *inside* the bean hopper. This explains why I didn’t find it. Well, that and the fact that I didn’t read the instruction manual. I mean, who reads the manual?Note: you have to adjust the grind level *WHILE the grinder is actually grinding”CLEANING THE MACHINENot hard to do. Have to remove and rinse the brewing module in the side, and clear out the grounds tray at the front. It figures out that the grounds tray needs to be emptied by counting the number of brews that have occurred since the last clean out, not by any kind of sensor. So you have to clean the grounds tray *WHILE the machine is in an ON-STATE” otherwise it won’t register that the tray has been emptied. This information is also in the instruction manual. Ask me how I know…EXTRASBTW, Tchibo were kind enough to include three bags (light, medium, and dark roast) of their brand coffee beans with the machine. Haven’t tried them yet since I’m working through the Kona I got for Christmas. But it’s a really nice touch and much appreciated.SUMMARYI think this machine produces just about the best coffee I’ve ever had (excepting The Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa, HI). So take that, Starbucks!Heartily brewed and heartily recommended.

Well made, handsome unit, good coffee
Couldn’t be happier with this product. Went from a sub-$30 drip machine to this industrial strength unit that grinds beans fresh for a tasty cup. I no longer need large amounts of sugary, flavored creamer to enjoy coffee. The machine is heavy, made in Germany and I like the minimalist design and relatively small footprint which looks good on the counter. Some have complained about refilling the water reservoir because it requires removal and if it is under a cabinet that can be a pain. Easy solution is to put some felt pads on the bottom and is slides easily on countertop. I have no complaints and am hoping to get years of use and enjoyment from this machine.

Great, hassle free expresso
I’ve been a Nespresso heavy user, and I still love it, but 1) I want to cut on the +$1K a year I am spending on pods and 2) I wanted to try the freshness of grounding beans at home. But I didn’t want the hassle or spending a crazy amount of money. First, I tried a Phillips machine, but the espresso was far worse than Nespresso. I’m from Brazil, so American coffee usually tastes like tea to me 🙂 This machine Tchibo was smart to add a “+” button, which makes it “stronger”, which in reality it gets just right, how it should be. It’s very easy to use and clean. Indeed, it’s not great to place it under a low cabinet so it’s easier to access the water compartment – I had to place it closer to the sync, which is not exactly what I wanted, but I’m actually super happy this this purchase.

Awesome espresso machine
This Tchibo is a great machine. It has a large water tank with at least 35-40 oz similar to my Keurig Elite. I saw reviews saying it’s only 8 oz., that must have been for a smaller machine or they updated it.

Awesome coffee maker
i got use to the bean to brew coffee makers at most truck stops and circle is and 7/11. it made me despise cheap coffee or bitter starbucks. i didn’t think a machine that wasn’t $12 grand like at the truck stops would produce anything near as good. i had purchased the Lor for $100 on black friday and that is a fantastic cup of coffee but u have to purchase there cups about 89 cents per cup. the Tchibo checks all the boxes for what i wanted the freedom to use any flavored coffee bean and produces the rich crema not cream as many people are confused by. i tell friends when you make the Tchibo and pour into another cup the empty cup looks like someone melted a stick of butter, you won’t see that in a Keurig.Fyi if you use the flavored sticky beans just stir the coffee beans on the top loader every time you make a cup and you won’t have any issues with beans not sliding down to the grinder. i use the bottom of a plastic fork or spoon and never get a code anymore.

Great coffee
I love this coffee machine. It makes great coffee. You must keep it clean, empty the grounds, and give a thorough cleaning at least once a week. Most of the time if it’s not working it’s because the grounds container is not pushed in correctly.

Simple, perfectly automatic system for espresso and Americano
Easy to unpack and set up. I put it on a paper towel—perfect fit—so I could slide it around easily to access the water tank. Just makes black coffee. 2, 6, or 8oz, with an optional extra shot. Nice smooth mid-tan crema in every size. Grind size and water volume are adjustable, but I like the results with factory defaults. If it runs out of beans or water while brewing, it lights the appropriate icon, and waits. When you complete the refill, it restarts by itself and finishes the selected product! Turns itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity, or longer if you choose. Restarts immediately during the day, runs a brief heat & rinse cycle first thing in the morning. Lights an icon when the used grounds bin is full, about every 6th cup. Easy to empty & clean. For some reason the size selection icons, which worked the first night, did not respond to my touch the next morning when I tried adding an extra shot. I turned it off and on, ran a rinse or two, and eventually it worked, with or without an extra shot. No problem since, never figured out what went wrong. The cup holder snaps on with magnets strong enough to keep it in place while sliding during refills, but not strong enough for support if it sticks out over the edge of the counter. Love it—super easy, super flexible. I might just get another eventually—one for regular, one for decaf!

Wish I would’ve earlier!
Like many of you, I like my morning coffee, or how about my daily drip of coffee throughout the day. I was always reluctant to get one of these machines because other brands are close to $1k or so, but I saw this unit on sale for $299 and jumped on it. WOW! This thing is sweet. I’m a black coffee with a shot guy (redeye at Starbucks), so I like my coffee very strong. I’ve only had it for a couple of months but this thing is getting an average of 4-6 shots/coffees daily and is holding up well. It does have a smaller reservoir for water, but it’s a compact unit so you must have some shortfalls somewhere.

I don’t need or like very hot coffee, and often let mine sit to cool or, if I’m in a hurry, even drop an ice cube in it to cool it off (sacrilege for many, I know). When placed in a travel mug, the coffee remains very hot for several hours.• Bean hopper holds a large amount of beans, especially with the extension piece.• Bean hopper is nicely sealed to keep beans fresh.• Controls are nicely illuminated, are clear to use, and consist of a lit area to push like a touch screen phone computer screen. This makes the buttons super easy to “push.”• Tray that holds spent grinds and excess water is easy to remove, clean, and reinstall.• Brew unit is easily accessible from the side and easy to remove, clean, and reinstall.• Water container is easy to remove, refill, and reinstall.• The height adjustable brew nozzle is a nice feature that moves in its up and down travel with a feeling of high quality.Cons:• As many have said, water container is a bit on the small side and needs to be filled often if you are making coffee. Espresso drinkers won’t have as much of an issue, but I end up filling my water container after every use when making coffee.• Machine is too tall to remove and refill the water container if there are cabinets above the machine. Machine must be moved forward of cabinets to remove water container, refill, and reinstall. I placed the machine on a large trivet with sliding felt pads mounted underneath it which makes things much easier to move around and I highly recommend that approach.• The machine is a bit heavy (not a bad thing as it indicates it is well made in my book), but it makes it more difficult to slide it in and out from below cabinets.• If water runs out during brewing or when warming up at first start, and water is re-filled, one must be ready for the machine to continue immediately…this is challenging since when I slide the machine forward to refill the machine, it is on the edge of my counter and there is not room to place a cup. A way around this is to slide the machine sideways while refilling (which is easier for me on the felt bottomed trivet I describe just above). While the instructions specifically say not to do this, another way around this problem is to refill the water container by pouring (just enough) water to finish the brewing process directly into the container without taking it out – again, not easy unless one moves the unit forward of the cabinets above.• Crema could be a bit thicker and a little more flavorful (again, compared to the Nespresso Intenso), but this could also be a function of the beans chosen.• Grind setting can only be adjusted when the grinder is running. This isn’t a terrible problem for me since I have set it on the finest setting and haven’t changed it since because I like a strong brew. However, if different people are using the machine in the same household and each prefers a different strength brew, it is something to keep in mind.• Oily or flavored beans with a coating cannot be used or it will damage the grinder. I prefer non-flavored beans so this isn’t a big deal for me. I’ve also not had a problem finding “dryer” beans (the Tchibo coffees work well, and Peet’s “Major Dickason’s” is also purported to work well though I haven’t tried it yet).• It’s not quiet. I don’t find this to be a problem, and I kind of like the sounds it makes. It crunches the beans and makes a whirring sound which is probably the brew unit moving along its track. Just keep in mind that if your significant other is sleeping, that person will likely be awakened.Things to keep in mind:• As I mentioned above, the buttons are super light and easy to touch. This is a nice feature, but they are easy to hit inadvertently when load the bean hopper or even if one brushes the “buttons” by accident. I have adopted the approach of turning off the machine when re-loading the hopper.• I plan on running a descaling cycle monthly using an espresso machine specific de-scaler (as opposed to vinegar). I only say this because I think with any higher pressure machine, de-scaling is important to maintain the machine. I have run the de-scaling cycle once during this review time and it is simple to follow the directions in the manual. My background – I’ve tried many ways to brew coffee including: drip, Nespresso, Keurig, percolated, a “true” espresso machine, stove-top espresso machine, pour-over, cold-brew, and French press. I prefer a very strong coffee, but do not like bitterness.I used my Nespresso for more “special” occasions (mostly weekends) and liked the coffee it makes. My favorite flavor capsule was Intenso, and I also liked the Stormio and Odacio flavors but not as much. I never liked the capsule approach as think it’s wasteful and has too much of an impact on the environment. While I applaud that Nespresso minimizes the impact of the capsule approach by providing free recycling bags which saves the aluminum and composts the coffee, I think that process creates a large carbon footprint. The final straw for me though was the machines don’t last. My first one died within a year. Nespresso was great in replacing it for me. The second one died after about two years, and Nespresso repaired it for me free of charge. I don’t use the machine enough to have it die so soon – at the most 100 cycles per year. Nespresso has great customer service, but when I saw the Tchibo, I found it very appealing because it doesn’t use capsules. My opinion on the other methods is as follows. It’s not even worth talking much about Keurig in my humble opinion. The plastic waste is inexcusable and the coffee it makes is simply not good – it’s better than instant, which isn’t saying much. I love pour-over coffee, but it’s a fair amount of work and I just don’t want to spend the time in the morning, especially during the week when running off to work. French press is a bit too much work too, and I don’t have a grinder which is needed to be able to make a course grind to effectively use a French press. Percolated coffee is too much effort too. Ditto for a true espresso machine and stove-top espresso machine. Drip coffee is a nice staple, but it’s not “special” in that it doesn’t create crema and it can be bitter depending on the beans used. I love my cold brewer for the summer (a simple filter inside of a mason jar), but when it gets cold outside, I want a hot coffee.Beans used: Tchibo Classic Blend – using these beans, the coffee is flavorful and pleasant, but even in the finest settings with the boost function, I long for a bit more punch. My old Nespresso machine when using Intenso made a stronger cup, but it was also more bitter, so there is a trade-off. I would liken the Classic Blend in the Tchibo to the Stormio or Odacio Nespresso Capsules. I’ve also tried the Tchibo Röstmeister beans which are a dark roast and they yield a lot stronger flavor which is more akin to my preferred Intenso Nespresso brew. I also plan on trying Peet’s Major Dickason’s blend as they have confirmed for me that these are non-oily (see above, oily or flavored beans are not recommended for this machine as they gum up the grinder).I used the machine a lot (at least once a day, sometimes more) during these first 30 days and am quite happy. The pros of the machine definitely outweigh the cons. I remain hopeful that the machine will remain reliable, and I will update this review once more time passes. In conclusion, I do highly recommend this machine and I hope this review has been helpful! If so, please hit the thumbs up!

Great value bean-to-brew coffee machine
Back home my parents had a Miele that made an excellent cup of coffee…but as much as I love a good cup of joe, I certainly wasn’t going to dish out thousands of dollars for a coffee machine when I moved out. I will say though it did spoil me in the concept of a bean-to-brew coffee machine, so I did a lot of research into what would be the best affordable option. I had never heard of Tchibo but took a chance on this machine and I’m so glad I did! Some observations:- seems kinda loud when you use it at first but you get used to the noise- with the default settings it seems to make a slightly weaker cup of coffee for my taste but that’s when the awesome “boost” feature comes in handy- super easy to use and a good size- someone said it seems to take awhile to brew whereas I actually found it to be rather quick- taking out the water tank is a hassle if there isn’t enough space on the top, as another reviewer mentioned, but I use a gooseneck kettle so I can refill the water carefully and without having to take the tank out of the machine — please note this is NOT what Tchibo recommends at all ^^” but it’s been an easy shortcut and I make sure I don’t spill or go above the max lineAll in all it’s a great coffee machine, especially at this price range. Will it give you the same results as a machine worth $3,000+? Probably not, but it’s still an incredible bean-to-brew option that does its job! 🙂

Junk .. not really
I worked for 3 days then the “empty grounds” light came on and I could not get it to tun off. This renders the machine a paperweight. Will be returning it.Well, I was wrong and not afraid to admit it. When i threw out the grounds, I also threw out the container holding the grounds. I realized it after a video call with support. After digging through the garage, I found it and all is well. Thank you support for embarrassing me. LOL !!Overall, we love the machine overall. Very impressive it can do so much occupying a relatively small amount of counter space. Support was great also.

How did I live without the Tchibo?
This is my 3rd full auto coffee maker, and I have enjoyed all of them. I have had a Saeco and a Phillips, but my favorite is definitely my new Tchibo! I wanted a machine that would not only make a great espresso shot, but also a delicious cup of coffee. The Tchibo has settings for 6 and 8 ounce coffees ( which you can customize to different sizes), and I found that the 6 ounce size makes the best tasting cup of coffee I’ve ever had out of a machine ( which includes not just the Saeco and Phillips, but also K Cup and Nespresso machines). The espresso shots are fantastic, too. There is just no substitute for freshly ground beans. It is a beautifully designed German machine. Compact, simple to use, and comes in nice colors- I got the red (which is actually more of a burgundy color). The Tchibo coffee that came with the machine was also delicious, and I just ordered 4.5 pounds of Tchibo Espresso beans to try-can’t wait! All for under 500 bucks- its a great deal.

Coffee Machine
I purchased this machine to avoid buying coffee pods and save time. After using this machine for 2 weeks, I am very satisfied with the way it operates. The reason people buy pods is to make it easier to make coffee. What is easier than a machine that grinds your coffee and pours it directly in your cup. This is even easier than using pods and less expensive. It makes a great tasting cup of coffee just by selecting 1 of 3 sizes. Of course you need quality beans that’s understood. The quality and looks are superior but it’s made in Germany, expect nothing less. It also makes a hot cup of fresh coffee which I do not get from my Nespresso machine. I’m very glad I bought this machine, couldn’t be happier !!

Fantastic!
I’ve had 4 different bean-to-cup superautomatic espresso machines and this one is the best, hands down. I do have to keep the manual handy in case I want to make changes to my settings because the symbols are not intuitive for that (only 1 of my previous machines actually had text and a menu instead of hieroglyphics), but for everyday use it’s perfect once you’ve got it all set up the way you like it. I love how compact it is, and the design of each piece. I love that you can remove the drip tray that’s just on the front and brew into a larger cup like a travel mug, and then just snap it back on with magnets. I have no leakage inside the machine to deal with under or behind the grounds container like with another certain Italian brand of machine. I love how easy it is to clean also! It’s quick too, quick to turn on and heat up, quick to produce your drink, and then it’s quiet when it shuts itself off too (without a loud rinse cycle!). I’m glad I decided I didn’t need a frothing wand. I just use a jug-style frother now instead and it’s better because that can work at the same time as the Tchibo does. Overall I’m super happy with my purchase and the great value of this machine!I’ve figured out that my perfect espresso for my latte is the default setting plus the boost button. Definitely needs the boost in the morning!

Great coffee and easy to use
This machine makes great coffee. I mainly use the third coffee button (not the 1 or 2 shot buttons) and it makes a small cup of good, strong coffee. It is easy to empty pressed grounds and to refill the water.

Do NOT recommend. Support / Service Big FAIL. Machine did not last 1 year
January 2025. I’m amending my review, unfortunately. $400 coffee machine, dead after 7 months. Very bummed about it. Purchased in March 2024. In September-October, the brew unit started leaking at the seams causing the grounds to get mucked up. I contacted customer support via email. It took 2 weeks to get a response. I explained the issues and asked for a replacement brew unit. They said no, I had to send the whole machine in. It took another week to receive a shipping label. After that, well, downhill from there.I sent it in. Another 10 days go by without any word. Finally, Dec. 3rd, get the machine back, put it on the counter, filled the water tank, pushed the brew button and it leaked all the water out the bottom of the machine. It didn’t even get any grounds into the puck/brew unit. Contacted support again, sent photos, they apologized and told me to send it back again. So I did. On Dec 20th they shipped it back for the second time. It was destroyed in shipping due to lack of packing material; literally, was banging around in the box. Contacted support again, sent photos unpacking it and out of the box completely wonky from damage. Six days later, support emails me with apologies, and offered to send a certified refurbished replacement machine (and, no, they wouldn’t give it a full year warranty, only what was left on my original machine which by now was down to 3 months).January 7th we got the refurbished machine, stoked to finally have a good cup of coffee. We got two decent cups out of it, then the water tank leaked the remainder of the water out the bottom of the machine.Contacted support right away/same day. It’s now Jan 21st, and no response. I even called into the support line, waited for over 30 mins, got told they’d call me back… nada. So, I’m updating my review to try to protect other consumers from the same loss.March 2024 Far better than the Phillips 3200. This Tchibo coffee maker is easy, quiet, and simply makes an excellent cup of coffee without all the fuss.

easy, good coffee/expresso
6oz coffee is easy. Cleanup is easy. It’s smaller than most (takes less counter space). I cut a piece of cardboard so it slides on the counter for pulling it out from under the cubboards. In my opinion the water chamber should be bigger, but I can see that having a lot of water sitting in the container can grow bacteria. So I can see why it’s smaller. Coffee tastes great. I’ve owned two other brands – A Krupps and a De’longhi. The Krupps had a bad seal after two years and it was still under warranty. Two years after that the seal went bad again. The De’longhi lasted 4 years and was $600. I bought this one because the parts that could possible fail first are removable and easier to replace.

A very good coffee machine
I’ve been using Saeco espresso machines for years until my last one broke. I decided to look for a new machine that would be smaller and less expensive. I tried a couple of different brands including two different Keurig machines because I liked the idea of using the universal filter for making espresso with my own beans. Every filter I bought didn’t fit the Keurig machines even though they stated that they were the official universal filters. I tried the k cups but the espresso was tasteless. So I returned each machine. Then I decided to try this Tchibo machine. It doesn’t take up as much space as most of the other machines and it’s very easy to use. It makes espresso and coffee and I can use my own beans because it has a grinder. What a nice surprise when I made my first mocha. Very smooth flavor. I had a bit of a problem when the used grounds tray didn’t want to come out so I got in touch with the seller and he walked me through it, it was an easy fix. I’m very happy with this machine.

Excellent machine, but one caution when you descale it
I’m quite happy with this machine, and I won’t add anything to the generally favorable reviews as to the quality of the coffee produced. There is one issue I should point out, though–it’s not a deal breaker but it’s important to know.Every three months or so the machine demands descaling. I complied, using a highly-rated natural liquid descaler I got on Amazon, and the machine went into a loop of pumping and silence over and over–for hours. It had descaled but would not rinse. I unplugged it and called tech support the next morning. Justin, the excellent support person at Tchibo, asked me if there had been bubbles in the water tank at the end of the descaling, and i replied that there had. That was the key. He’s working on this problem–I’m not the only one to whom this has happened–and his hypothesis is that the foaming tricks the sensors in the machine into thinking that it’s not done descaling. He suggested drying out the space where the water tank goes and letting everything sit for an hour. That fixed the problem; as soon as I replaced the water tank and turned the machine on it rinsed as it was supposed to.The best way to avoid this, he thinks, is to use the right descaler. Tchibo recommends Durgol, which is also available on Amazon; I’ve just ordered some. So enjoy your excellently strong coffee but be careful out there when you’re descaling. And thanks, Justin!

Perfect Gift for Coffee Lovers!
I purchased the Tchibo Automatic Espresso & Coffee Machine with Built-in Grinder for new homeowners who are empty nesters and coffee lovers, and it was the perfect gift! They were thrilled with the machine’s quality and the ability to brew fresh coffee without needing pods. The built-in grinder ensures a rich, flavorful cup every time. It’s sleek, easy to use, and a great addition to their kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone who loves coffee and wants a high-quality brewing experience!

Nice coffee maker but
Makes a good cup of coffee. I wanted a bean mill with my coffee maker. This one shows setting under the counter but you cannot get the water container out to fill when it is under the counter. So had to find a place where I could access the water container. Not the best. See picture.

Pleased with this coffee maker
I have been looking for an automatic ( pour in coffee beans machine does the rest ) for a couple of years. I’ve looked at the brands Williams Sonoma carries such as Jura and Phillips. I came across Tchibo here on Amazon and based on the reviews I took a chance so far so good! When I open the box I was really pleased at the quality of the machine the craftsmanship seems top-notch for the price point. Most importantly I was looking for a coffee shop flavor that was my bottom line. I wanted to use fresh beans. I had the Keurig and I had Nespresso. Both machines very convenient but I did not get the taste I was looking for.Tchibo has really taken it up a notch for me. Everything is very intuitive you just pour in the beans and you’re able to select three different coffee sizes I typically drink the full cupand adjust it up for a stronger flavor. Do you have an adjustment to use more beans in two different ways which I appreciatePackaging was excellent and overall I’m very pleased the machine prompts you after 10 cups to empty the grounds. For me personally this machine is definitely a step up from Keurig on flavor. I prefer it also over the press and pour over as personal preference. I still think my favorite taste for coffee would be a drip cup from either Starbucks or Dutch Bros. I think I will add the best coffee brewer that I can find in the future but I’m very pleased with this investment

THE BEST COFFEE MAKER FOR POD LOVERS
I have tried many coffee makers, some with pods and some without. Well I love the convenience of a pod, the taste of the coffee leaves a lot to be desired. This coffee maker changes all that. It is the convenience of a pod without the pod. Another bonus, which is probably the most important part, is the taste of the coffee, as well as the aroma. The coffee is the quality of what you would get in a fine restaurant. You simply select the cup size and press the button and the coffee maker grinds the beans and then creates the perfect cup of coffee in under a minute or so. I bought one and one of The rubber “feet” was crooked and I sent it back. After seeing how much I miss this coffee maker, my daughter surprised me with a new one for Christmas. It was the best gift she could’ve ever given me. I now enjoy multiple cups of coffee each and every day. I really can’t say enough good about this coffee maker. If you think the price is a little high, I can only suggest you try it and I believe you’ll see that it’s actually a bargain for what you get in quality, ease and taste.

Better than Starbucks
It’s only been a few days and I’m so happy I decided to pay just a little more for this machine. I didn’t want to mess with the fancy gadgets (former barista trauma lol) and don’t need a frother since I already have a nice one.Pros:- No more coffee grinding- Three different sizes plus a boost- Fast: only a few seconds to brew a shot- Sleek: looks great on the counter and it’s not an eye sore.Cons:- The water reservoir is in the back and removable but you have to pull it up which makes it awkward to refill when your machine is under the cupboard.- I don’t understand the different sizes of bean reserve/storage. It felt like unnecessary gadgets that I need to store.Despite the cons, I would highly recommend this machine. 😎

Best espresso machine yet
I’ve bought and owned many espresso machines over the decades, most of them whole bean and fully automated like this one. This is by far the best one.1. It’s fully automatic, which means you fill it with beans and water and then press a button.2. There’s no complex ritual to cleaning and no lubrication requirements like some of the others I’ve owned. Its just your usual decalcify, which is running the machine with a mild chemical cleaner every so often to make sure the coffee flavor maintains.3. It’s small. It doesn’t take up a lot od space, yet you don’t have to refill the beans or water less often than the prior 2 fully automatic machines I’ve had.4. Full flavor! We only buy premium beans and we were blown away switching from our last machine to this one.5. The company has been around in Germany for generations.6. Price is very good. It should be worth $2k considering the last teo I bought from Costco were over $1K! This one performs better, delivers better taste and STRONGER coffee, and is smaller. We actually use one shot of this in lieu of two shots from our prior machine. I can’t say enough good about this machine. Coming from the Armenian/Turkish world of coffee culture, with love for the French and Ethiopian coffee cultures, I consider myself a connoisseur. Take it from me, this machine delivers!

MUST buy! Exactly what I was looking for at a decent price.
UPDATE: Kept getting warning to empty grounds. They had been emptied and the part that compresses the grounds (IDK what it’s called) and been rinsed and wiped down. I again took out that part and wiped around inside and it works fine again.Just made a cup of espresso in my Tchibo Single Serve Coffee Maker – Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine – Built-in Grinder with Tchibo Barista Milano Style Espresso Beans and OMFG! No more coffee shops for me while I have this at home. Beans are mildly sweet and slightly bitter, although it is not too much of either of those.Set-up super easy. I’m able to remove water reservoir while it’s under the cabinet as my cabinets are a bit high. No leakage yet although I’ve used it six times within the past four hours (yeah I know probably too much). Temperature is PERFECT not horribly hot so it doesn’t scorch the grounds. I got the machine with the part that extends the bean capacity and we’ll see how it goes. Two people in the house that are coffee aficionados (not snobs) and I’m sure this machine is going to get a lot of use. Elderly father has high praises for both the machine and the quality of the beans. No I have not yet removed the QR code yet I’ll leave it there for future use.

Easy, high quality smart machine, great coffee
While this won’t create a perfect espresso shot like a classic machine would, it’s the best machine in terms of ease of use, convenience, and quality coffee. The build is high quality and looks sleek. From the moment I turn it on to when I’m drinking my espresso, it takes under one minute. It shows you when you need to remove the coffee grinds, add coffee beans, and add water. My favorite feature is the “+ beans” which I always select, in order to have a stronger espresso. Would recommend this machine for anyone who wants a quality machine, good espresso, and ease of use all in one.

I have been using a ninja coffee maker for years, I found this Tchibo expresso coffee maker that left the ninja in the dust. This is like a cup of coffee from a barista in a specialty coffee shoppe. I love a bold cup of coffee and this delivers every time. Each cup has fresh grounded beans and has the froth on the top. Highly recommend.

The BEST
I absolutely love this machine. It is exactly what I was looking for- to grind beans on demand for one cup at a time. It works as promised! It’s so easy to clean and keep up. It even tells me when to empty the coffee grounds bin…every 10 days. I also love that it automatically empties the grounds filter cup into a used grounds bin. Genius! And it works perfectly. This machine is a bit pricey but well worth the investment. The only thing I wish it would offer is adjustment in the water temp. But the water comes out pretty hot- so it’s not a deal breaker. I love, love, love it! If you’re on the fence on whether to purchase- I recommend pulling the trigger. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m Obsessed
I have wanted one of these for many years and I am so happy with it’s performance and ease of use.CONS after a few months of daily use…The water reservoir is WAY too small. It always seems to run out mid-brew, and unless you have obnoxiously tall counters, this means you have to move the machine sideways to access the reservoir. It is very inconvenient if you have a couple people using it daily.PROSIt makes amazingly great coffee. Everyone comments how good it is because of the crema, and several have told me I have spoiled them to any other coffee.I wish is that the water could be line-fed directly from my filtered tap instead of the reservoir. Tchibo, please take note that it would be a perfect machine with a direct water supply capability like Brew Express has. Surely there is a float valve attachment to make this happen with little effort.

Works better than I thought it would.
Boy, this thing was really packed well. When I finally got this out of the box and on the counter, I was very pleased with the results. After I made the first cup, I wanted to make more. That was easy with two bags of coffee beans included with the machine. To open, disassemble, and clean the machine is an easy task. I dump the used grounds into the trash and then simply rinsed the bin under the faucet. The brewing module is easy to take out and clean and requires no tools. You can adjust the brew quantity from the factory setting if they don’t work for you. An espresso gives you 2 oz, a regular goes to 6 oz, and a large 8 oz. The owner’s manual explains how to adjust the water levels. If all else fails, There is a way to reset the machine back to factory settings. Again in the manual. One thing I really like is a light comes on above your cup when you brew! Hey, I can do this in the dark! I love this machine and hope to use it for a long time. I think you will like it also.

A Really Well Engineered Espresso Machine
I have used automatic espresso machines for over 20 years. I was a dedicated Jura customer and owned three different machines. They of course are good machines until they do not work. Every time they needed service it was approximately$500 and involved shipping to a repair center. My last machine died and could not be serviced so it was time for a new machine and I faced sticker shock to replace my previous machine. I discovered Tchibo which is the equivalent of Starbucks in Europe. They designed this simple but elegant machine that costs one-tenth of the new Jura. I am very pleased. It just makes great expresso drinks. You can purchase a separate milk foamer for under $100 and I am back in business for under $500. Just buy it!

Incredible coffee maker!
I absolutely love this machine! And I am a picky “foodie” person. I have had 2 DeLonghi machines, and 1 Gaggia one, each to the tune of $3,000.00, and this machine makes better coffee than any of them at a fraction of the price. Those machines need to be sent out to be repaired and shipping is not cheap. Keurig or any other pod coffee machines are simply unacceptable to me, since the coffee is not freshly ground. That doesn’t even taste like coffee to me!I LOVE the espresso this machine makes…it has the nicest foam I have ever seen from ANY machine! I use La Colombe “Corsica” or “Nizza” coffee and the taste is amazing.-The machine is small and takes up minimal room.-The coffee bean holder is a great size and can be adjusted to hold more beans vs. less.-The water tank holds the same amount of water that my other machines have held, which is of course, never big enough! But I refill it each morning when I turn it off, so that it is ready for the next day.-We get (4-5) 8-10oz. cups per tank.-The already brewed “grounds container” seems to hold more than my previous machines, before it needs to be emptied.- I love the magnetic tray that you set the coffee cup on. You can completely remove it to place larger cups underneath the spout.-The spout easily lowers for espressos and raises for larger cups.-It may not have all the the bells and whistle accessories, like the milk container and frothing attachments but they are a pain to use and clean up anyway. When I make cappuccinos or lattes, I heat the milk in the microwave, then whip it with my Aerolatte wand and add the shot of espresso. Delicious and better than any machine could do!I saw someone complain about not having enough head room when removing the tank when there are cabinets above it. This is true, but I solved that problem by buying one of those appliance gliding trays that fits nicely under it and you just squeeze the buttons to pull it out and then again to push it back. Works great!Bottom Line: If you are looking for a “simple to use” machine, that makes delicious espressos and Americano brewed coffees, you simply cannot go wrong with this machine! It is easy to understand and program. My husband had NO problem using and troubleshooting it, which is unusual! Love, love, love this machine!P.S. I kept the box for a month before throwing it out, in the event I didn’t like it. At first, it seemed a little cheaper quality than I am used to, since it was so lightweight and was so basic. My other machines are all stainless steel, hence, one of the reasons they cost so much. But I must say that I have had it for almost 3 months and it has held up well and is not fragile at all with normal careful use. It’s a keeper!

AMAZING!
As a coffee lover I was so excited to get a coffee machine that doesn’t involve me buying coffee pods over and over again. I feel a bit better that I’m not contributing to the insane amount of pod usage. This machine works amazingly. The fact that you can grind pure coffee beans into one cup is *chefs kiss*. It doesn’t do a full pot but it does the single cup brew. Which is what I love. You can select a button to make the brew a bit more bold. The water intake is smaller as most people have mentioned and I thought that was going to be an issue, it’s not. Just make sure that after 4 or 5 brews you refill the water tank. I just make sure that as I brew my cup I have a refill cup next to me and pour the water I used, no big deal. Coffee temperature is perfect – not too hot and definitely not cold. The machine does turn off by itself after a while which is great knowing that it doesn’t stay ON. It is fairly on the heavier side and it doesn’t slide so if you want to buy a little slider to put under you can. I’ve had this for a couple of months now and I’m definitely staying with this brand/machine!!!

Outperformed JURA
I’ve used a JURA automatic espresso machine (Swiss made) for 14 years. It made a great espresso ☕️ and by using a separate frother, terrific DAILY cappuccinos!I have replaced it with a TCHIBO Automatic, Espresso/Coffee machine. It has many complimentary features of the JURA with some high-tech refinements! The old JURA cost $1400 and can be replaced now for $999.My TCHIBO cost $399 on Amazon .IT FRESHLY GRINDS EACH CUP. It pre-heats your cup & then pre-wets the grinds 10 seconds to maximize flavor.BY ELIMINATING THE ALUMINUM, STALED, VERY COSTLY PODS YOU CAN WAKE UP YOUR MUG😖 with a mug ☕️ for a full day of happiness! My CPA calculations proves savings of eliminating the costly, aluminum, staled pods pays for your new Tchibo in FOUR MONTHS!During my 15 years as a barista and founder of Cappuccino Country “a tasting place”, I have learned a lot about coffee. The only thing better is a glass of homemade wine at the end of the day.So, GO FOR IT, the glory of your new TCHIBO will make your adjustment in HEAVEN a real DREAM…. 👴🕵️

Fresh, delicious coffee!
After years of using a Keurig, I was ready to upgrade but was undecided on what would be the best machine for me. Thought about the Nespresso but didn’t want to have to buy expensive pods. Then someone made me an espresso on the Tchiba and it was so good.Did some research and decided to buy it – best thing I’ve bought in 2024! Also bought the milk frother and now I can drink espresso, plain coffee, lattes, americanos or whatever my heart desires. Because it grinds the beans, each cup of coffee is fresh and delicious! Love it.

Awesome!!
I previously had a Jura, and it lasted 7 years but to replace it would have cost over 1,000. My sister recommended the Tchibo, and I read the reviews and thought I’d try it. I LOVE it!! The coffee is just as good as the Jura, but so much better because this makes an actual full cup of coffee whereas the Jura’s largest “cup” was only 5 oz. So I use less coffee beans and you can clean the inside mechanism which you can’t do on the Jura. So happy! I hope it lasts for years!!

Easiest way to make good coffee
It’s so easy. Put in beans at top, put in water in tank , press button and you’re done. Great coffee. That’s it. Yes, it’s a pain to refill the water tank or dump the grinds periodically but that’s just an occasional nuisance. If the price doesn’t alarm you, get it. As you awaken bleary-eyed and need a quick caffeine infusion or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, this is the ticket. It’s worth it.

Bean to brew coffee
I love this bean to brew coffee system. Totally eliminates all those plastic pods. I use my favorite coffee beans. It is a bit noisy but that is only a problem for those still asleep…they should get up and have a fresh brewed coffee with me.

So Impressed!
I was looking for a bean to cup coffee maker but didn’t want to spend a small fortune. I read the reviews, and went for it. This makes such good coffee!I almost sent it back because we had the settings backward and the coffee was too weak. To get a strong coffee, you want it on the fine grind. Also you HAVE to adjust the grind once but while it’s grinding. It will not adjust otherwise.

Great Machine, Would Buy Again
Provides a nice cup off coffee/espresso. It looks great on the counter and doesn’t take up much space. The capacity for the coffee beans is really good. I have to refill the water after about 5 cups of coffee, so I wish that was bigger. But it very convenient since it grounds its own coffee and then sets it off to the side for you to dispose of later, after about 5-8 cups. The brew gives a nice froth as well.

Thank you for making me a coffee snob
I cannot believe I have been drinking bad coffee from kuerig machines & regular coffee pots my whole adult life. This machine blows them away. It is delish! The way a cup of coffee should be & in the super convenient automated machine. I am taking care to maintain per the instructions so we don’t end up w a gummed up machine like our last 3 kuerigs that konked out on us. I look forward to my coffee every day. This machine is easy to figure out and easy to maintain and works just the way it should. It’s a little on the big side so I couldn’t fit it in the nook where I have the kuerig. But I improvised & you should too! Read the manual through before getting started.

Great bean to cup espresso at a very reasonable price
I have had this machine no for 3 years and it has performed reliably and brewed great espresso and coffee. For the price, I do not think this can be matched. Like any bean to cup machine, it needs to be be cleaned regularly. This is more maintenance than a Nespresso or pod machine. But delivers better product at a far better price. I still keep m Nespresso for instant variety (and milk drinks) and occasional convenience. But this is used every day. I would definitely replace it if it broke.Note again this requires regular cleaning. And moisture will result in some mold in the grounds tray if you wait too long. There is a video on YouTube of someone who modified the hatch for ventilation which I am sure works well. Cleaning regularly seems a better choice. If you want milk drinks or daily variety, it’s hard to beat a top end Nespresso machine for ease of use. But fresh ground espresso from a great bean is unbeatable.

Crema!
Bought this fun little machine to condense bean grinder, drip machine and espresso machine into one! I am not disappointed! Not a fan of having oodles of clutter and appliances on the counter, so this made a huge difference in my kitchen! The machine is fairly small, sleek and rather elegant! Have been using it for about a month now. It makes a very lovely shot of espresso, small cup of coffee and “large” cup of coffee. What I love about the machine is that it makes you a fresh cup of coffee or shot of espresso EVERY time! For years, we would brew a whole pot of coffee into a Mr. Coffee Carafe; this was nice, as the carafe kept the coffee hot for quite a while without oxidizing, but there was never any crema to the brew.I recently bought a nespresso for the office, but at $1.20+ per cup, that’s just unreasonable with a husband who will easily drink 3-4 cups of coffee per day!So far, loving this purchase! Easy to clean; but honestly, the engineering of the appliance keeps itself insanely tidy!Downsides, fairly small water reservoir, bean reservoir could be a bit larger. Brew sizes are not accurate based on American standard of “small” and “large” – translation: espresso and coffee size are fairly small (albeit, machine is fast enough that brewing additional servings, isn’t a big deal). Came with 2 “free” bags of coffee beans – I believe the first bag we used was “Caffé Crema Intense” and it made the whole house very gassy!Would certainly recommend to coffee lovers!

Best bean to brew maker I’ve found!
Wanted to find a bean to coffee machine. I did a bit of research and ended up with this one. It’s a slim design and looks nice on the counter. Very simple to set up. Fill the water, fill the beans and you have a fresh brew! The only issue I have is that the water canister is on the back and you bump into the cabinet when trying to remove it. I’m looking into small rollers to put on the bottom so I can swing it sideways to get to the water canister. I also got the matching milk frother which I love. I didn’t want a machine with the frother because those tend to be hard to clean and often stop working. The coffee taste great and I use the grounds in my garden. It’s a win-win!!

Basically a Nespresso machine but with better flavor and cheaper cost
Probably not for the coffee snobs but for anyone looking for a nespresso machine (or replacment) you get all of the convenience, but more cost effective over time and better quality if you use decent beans

makes great coffee and espresso! Great Value.
You will be happy with this purchase. This is a great value and makes great coffee. Clean up is easy.Don’t buy that environmental disaster called a pod coffee maker.Pod coffee is stale, super expensive and the brewing temperature seems too cold to make real coffee. This device has easy cleanup and not nearly the mess of one of those pro model espresso makers like they have at coffee shops.Positive:Great Coffee and Espresso! As good as a machine costing many times more.Simple clean up.Space saving design doesn’t take up a ton of room on your counter.Things that could be better:Does not grind super oily beans (but does any self-contained coffee maker? probably not)Wouldn’t mind a bigger water tank..Other:Does not have a Frother, However, in my opinion, they tend to be messy and not worth the clearnup. If you miss Lattes and Cappuccinos, invest in a ~$20 hand held frother that does a much better job and is easier to clean up.

The best coffee maker I’ve ever owned!
The best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. No descaling and it never lets me down. Previously I owned a coffee maker that was in the shop getting repaired every six months. I have had this for a year and a half. It works perfect!

Excellent machine
I have been trying different coffee machines now for several years. This is the best one! It is so simple to use. The pictures that appear on the machine are self explanatory. The machine is very sleek and elegant. They include coffee beans with it. The taste is marvelous. I love it. I do use filtered water when making my coffee because our water is too hard. I have not been going to Starbucks since my purchase. This coffee tastes better to me than Starbucks.

Finally coffee maker we love
We’ve purchased this coffe maker 3 months ago and waited with review until it is used for a while; on average 6-8 cups of coffee is made every day. Overall, wonderful and easy to use product. Yes, grinder is making some noise, but not greater than any other. Ability to brew from espresso to super extra large as well as adjusting grinder to make flow faster or slower (fine grind=slow brew but improved taste) is wonderful. You can’t beat the taste! Yes, machine needs to be kept clean, but I disagree with reviews saying that this is painful task. Overall we love it and recommend.

Easy to use, tastes great!
My husband and I recently visited Germany and loved the coffee served. We checked on Amazon before returning to the States to find a “like” coffee maker. I found the Tchibo and ordered it. The coffee maker was waiting for us upon our return. We have only been back and using it for a few weeks, but it was a great purchase so far. It is so easy to use. I placed felt pads under the rubber feet so I can easily move it from under the cabinets to add water. Everything else with this coffee maker appears to be fabulous. Time will tell. But the coffee is fabulous and has that wonderful crema.

My fiancé proved his love for me by giving this to me for my birthday.
Update: This thing is DURABLE! My fiancé is now my husband, and we bought a house. As he was transporting the Tchibo to the new house, he had it sitting on the passenger seat. He had to slam on the brakes and it tumbled to the floor, and pieces apparently went flying. The coffee bean hopper lid stayed in place, although there is now a crack on the corner (I can switch to the extended hopper). Everything else got a thorough cleaning and reassembly when he got home, I ran it through a couple hot water cycles, brewed a shot of espresso, and there were ZERO issues. THAT is impressive.I refer to this as my ADHD/Neurodivergent coffee drinker’s dream machine, because it totally takes care of all the things you could possibly forget in the process of making your coffee. Hopefully it’s available again soon since I keep telling people about it! I’ve started buying the Tchibo beans at my local grocery store and I absolutely love it.Original review:I drink coffee every day. I travel for work, and feel the need to explain myself if I don’t have Starbucks or similar on my Expense report. Just yesterday my brother in law made a special stop to pick up coffee for me because I had forgotten to drink any before I left the house for our big family Holiday gathering. It’s that important. When I first saw ads for this on Facebook, I was curious. I started researching. I looked into other brands of similar items and determined that they would not work for me. I had a birthday coming up. This is what I wanted. I was going to buy it for myself (because seriously, a $300 coffee maker when I have other options did not fall in the need department). Then my fiancé, who just promoted at work and had been working mega overtime, said those beautiful words to me “Baby, let me buy it for you.” Swoon. He loves me. And he values his life. For the record, our kids are grown, we’re not young. Anyway. When it showed up, I initially had issues getting it to work. Note: DO NOT EVER FILL THE COFFEE SECTION WITHOUT THE WATER TANK IN PLACE. If there is any sort of gap in between the water tank and where it sits because, say, you crunched a coffee bean down there, air is going to get in the line and it’s not going to work right. It will eventually sort itself out and start working. I realized this was why mine didn’t work right initially when I moved it out from under my cabinet to a different spot and was thoroughly cleaning everything out and found the crunched beans (and had accidentally done it again). So now I always make sure that the beans are fully covered before I refill my water and we’re all good. No issues.Cleaning it is easy, it always shows you if you need to add something or empty something. And I love being able to make an Espresso Martini. No worries about scalding myself or anything exploding on me. It’s done for espresso making what instant pots did for pressure cooking as far as I’m concerned!

Nice machine
My most recent purchase of a Tchibo Coffee maker is as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife. The reason being is when they come to my house they are impressed with the Tchibo I have and said they would really appreciate one for Christmas. I’m very happy with my coffee maker if I had one negative to say about it, it would be that I would like the water to be hotter.

Amazing Coffee Machine
My coffee machine of 11 years finally gave out. I searched for a less expensive replacement, the replacement for the same model I had is $1,500, and decided to look at the new technology available. First replacement I tried I sent back because I couldn’t get the coffee hot enough and I had to use an app on my phone to program it. The second and third attempt, well known brand, worked only a week, or not at all. The burr grinders failed terribly. Coffee and ground everywhere. The reviews on this machine were good and decided why not take a chance. I can always return it like the 4 others before. Well – I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!It costs half of what the others do, the coffee is HOT, I don’t need an app on my phone, so easy to use. Looks so cute on my coffee bar. With a simple push of a button I can chose a cup size. The burr grinder easily pops out for the weekly rinse and right back in. Most importantly IT WORKS!!! ❤️❤️❤️. I wish this has been my first purchase. Would of saved myself $$ and stress.Highly recommend!
