Just fyi , frothing wand does not actually steam milk.. otherwise very good coffee maker
All in all a very good, well built, nice design coffee maker. I have other Ninja products and they are all good well built quality machines I am a bit disappointed that the swing out ‘frothing’ tool does not actually steam milk ( as I kinda expected it would do ) instructions say to get hot milk for an espresso style beverage, you heat your milk in the microwave…not really the same 😔 I went back and read the product description, and it does not say that it steams milk, calls it a frothing tool…for espresso drinks. I guess I just assumed it also would steam heat and froth the milk.. other than that it has many good and well thought out features. I like the removable water reservoir, swing out basket, coffee scoop attached to side, multi function of brew sizes : full pot, 1/2 pot, one cup, travel mug..etc. Only thing on this that I’d of liked to see is permanent ounce size on the front. When I unpacked it there was a sticker (said remove) this sticker had all the actual ounce size of XL cup, travel mug, one cup.. when you remove the sticker you lose this information. I remedy it by cutting out all the little stickers and placing near the cup size (first tryed leaving in place) but the brew size choice is illuminated , so if you leave the sticker over top, you can’t see it.. I recommend this machine ( if you’re not expecting to get top grade steamed espresso style beverage ) the frothing wand does froth milk pretty good…(but it just isn’t the same..) 12/29/2019 update * the frothing tool really whips up an excellent froth to your drink …(yes, you must first microwave your milk to get it hot) but I’ve moved past this now, am really enjoying my new Ninja … For the cost point it can’t be beaten !! I’ve now used ALL the features.. one cup, travel mug, specialty brew, half pot, whole pot, frothing wand… I love it.. 4.5 stars..1/2 star because it doesn’t steam your milk.. (haven’t tried iced yet) but 🤷 I’m sure this works fine..

Brews coffee quickly
This looks nice and brews quickly. Oddly, your hand can’t fit in it for cleaning, which is frustrating. I had to order a long-handled scrub brush to be able to clean it properly. I think they should consider including one with it. Otherwise, it’s a great coffee maker.

Good coffee maker
I bought this ninja cm401 because I got tired of paying so much money for those Nespresso coffee pods so I figured buying this would be a little more money I could save. I like the machine it works great just get used to a different type of coffee. The only thing I’m having a problem with it’s supposed to come with a frother which it did but there’s a part missing from the frother it’s the piece that hangs down to froth, I don’t want to return it to Amazon just to get a with a frother so I’m going to try to call shark Ninja to see if they’ll send me one hopefully they won’t charge me it’s like $10.99 for the part hopefully they will understand and send me one. Seems they failed to pack one. I called shark Ninja the other day they were they were very nice they registered my product they will send me a new frother attachment plus ninja has a one year warranty on their products.

BOMB COFFEE MAKER!!!
The media could not be loaded.
Just received mines today and I have one at my job and loved how it works so I purchased one for myself and I love how this machine is! It is so convenient… easy to clean, coffee comes out perfect, and it is quick when it comes to brewing. I wanted to post more videos to show how it is but I guess only one is recommended but it’s ok… it’s worth it! The quality is excellent and it looks great with my other Ninja products. I love how you don’t have to use the container it comes with to get coffee you can just use your own mug or coffee cup and even better your travel cup that’s cool to me . Very simple very easy and was so excited to receive it. Has a timer and it rarely spills. Highly recommend for those who likes have their cup of Joe in the morning. Quick and easy and great quality .

A nicely featured Ninja coffee maker but it’s not as accurate in brew selections as our first one.
This is our second Ninja coffee maker. The first one lasted about 6-7 years and was a joy to use in every respect until certain key features like the cleaning cycle began to fail. We bought another Ninja because, even though they are arguably more expensive than many other highly rated coffee makers, we like the many features they have and they do brew great tasting coffee (provided – of course, you are using good quality coffee beans pre-ground or whole). The only reason we have not given this particular Ninja a 5 star stellar review is it seems to be less accurate than our original Ninja with regard to brew selection accuracy (e.g. to brew the equivalent of a half pot, I have found this selection makes about 4 oz. of coffee less than our older Ninja so I have to end up brewing a Travel mug then a regular cup to get what I would consider is a more accurate half pot). This brewing accuracy also seems to be off for the “X-large cup” selection as well. We don’t typically use that one, so it’s not a real problem for us, but it seems worth noting for all those who love a great cup of coffee and may be considering this model. We also like our original “Ninja Coffe Bar” for it’s smaller overall size than this new model.

This Coffee Maker is just *Chefs Kiss*
Let me start off by saying that I LOVE my Coffee and my trusty Hamilton Beach coffee maker finally kicked the bucket one day so naturally I went ahead and got another Hamilton Beach (The Scoop) because I wanted single-serve functionality. To say I was DISAPPOINTED is understatement. That Coffee Maker made a MESS and splattered coffee everywhere, made VERY WEAK watery coffee, and couldn’t even fit my favorite ‘MAN-Sized’ Cup. Needless to say I returned it and looked at alternative brands…ENTER THE NINJA!I was a bit skeptical at first, the price is on the premium side but at the same time looks like a MUCH more expensive machine… and the real question was, is it actually any good? or too good to be true? The Ninja addressed EVERY issue I had with the Hamilton Beach. Look at the pictures! I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that it fit my MAN-Sized Cup PERFECTLY! ZERO splatter when making a cup of coffee and the cherry on top it has a ‘drip-stop’ lever to stop any drips after you remove the cup *chefs kiss*I LOVE the way the brew basket slides outwards to easily add your coffee, and the removable water reservoir so you can make yourself a cup without having to add water every time *chefs kiss*But the real question and main job of every Coffee Maker… does it make good coffee?? YES it does. DELICIOUS Smooth Coffee (with paper filters). *chefs kiss* Cone Filters # 4 by the wayThe Ninja has spoiled me with the Coffee Size selection now. If I’m in the mood for a BIG cup or a small cup I can precisely select how much I want. I’ve also tried out the ‘Over Ice’ and ‘Cold Brew’ selections and they work GREAT! Basically just fill your cup with ice and it will do the rest, and don’t worry it will not overflow or anything. Both options are basically Iced Coffee but ‘Cold Brew’ takes a lot longer but promises a smoother coffee and brews it a lot slower, and WOW it’s Amazing! *chefs kiss*I absolutely love everything about this Ninja coffee maker. The people who made these clearly love their coffee too and speak my language. I’m sold on Ninja for life! Get one and you won’t regret it… Don’t think twice I promise it’ll be *chefs kiss*

Super convenient and easy to clean
Super convenient and easy to clean. Makes both hot and iced coffee, either by cup or pot. Zero issues so far and the coffee tastes very good overall. Some extra grounds at the bottom but that can probably be resolved by adding an additional filter.

Love the timing and the pull out for grounds. Makes a good cup of coffee. We have noticed it isnt staying hot enough as it should.

Pretty
Just made the first full pot. Used the mesh filter. used 60 grams of coffee for this first pot. Decent coffee but not great. Will try a paper filter on next pot as I have found paper filters make better coffee for me but its all a matter of personal taste. lol I thought this12 cup had a milk frothier but it does not. I love the controls and the way maker is set up. I will get this baby tuned in to my tastes. Also will try the bold setting for more flavor. Will update after using for a while.

Maybe I should have bought another Keurig?
My really old Keurig coffee making was showing its age. but what really made me mad was the bad Green Mountain K Cups. I drink Dark Magic. Usually I bought them from a grocery, Walmart or Target. Across sellers there would be a few pods in every batch that were bad. Really bad. Besides, I didn’t like the non recyclable plastic. So I wanted to buy a coffee maker that would make one or more cups with ground coffee. This Ninja does that. Flavor is great. You must experiment with your own coffee and the settings to get the perfect cup. There are two things I really don’t like. The glass carafe does NOT keep my second cup warm. I must microwave it, even if it has only been 15 minutes. I am unable to put my vacuum XL coffee cup under the brewer. Too short. So I must brew in the carafe, then pour into coffee XL travel cup, while I spill on the counter. The other thingI don’t like is all the pieces of the coffee maker. It is a pain to get them all ready for my coffee. And the directions say to wash everything in hot soapy water after every use. Really a pain. Regarding some other reviews. I don’t think it is noisy when it brews. It is noisy when it beeps that it is finished. I also don’t think it is slow if you compare to other drip makers. I don’t hate the Ninja, the coffee is good. But I wish I had bought a Keurig, or the Ninja with the stainless vacuum carafe.

Great design!
I needed a new coffeemaker after my Bunn coffeemaker wore out and the new Mr. Coffee coffeemaker I replaced it with suffered a broken carafe for which there’s no replacement. After extensive research and review of customer comments, I decided to buy this Ninja coffeemaker, even though it has more gadgets on it than I want or will use. I bought it because it has a great design, and best of all, Ninja actually makes replacement parts for the glass carafe and water reservoir that they keep in stock! The design of the carafe is excellent, as you can pour a cup of coffee with no drips. The top screws on, which is also better than the ones that snap on. It’s much easier to clean! I love the glass water reservoir, much better than the plastic ones. It also has an ingenious drip stop lever for the grinds basket, so no more coffee drips on the heating element when we pour a cup of coffee or remove the carafe for cleaning. I think the measuring spoon that snaps into the side is unnecessary and takes away from the looks of the coffeemaker, and I’ll never use it as the scoop I have is fine, but that’s not a dealbreaker. I probably won’t use the milk frother either, but some people may like it. I would have liked if a less expensive version had been offered without the gadgets, but I don’t regret this purchase. One nice feature is that since it accommodates multiple types and sizes of containers, any brand carafe with work as a replacement if this one breaks. The coffee it makes is just okay, not the best I’ve had, but I have only been using it for a week, so I will continue to experiment with measurements. I expect it will improve. The setup was super easy and quick. The instructions are very clear and well-written. Despite the many features, the instructions make it easy to use. I highly recommend this coffeemaker!

Fabulous Coffee Maker
I’ve had the Ninja CM401 Specialty 10-Cup Coffee Maker for about 2.5 years now and I still love it. In short, I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone interested in upgrading their drip machine.I don’t use the speciality functions (e.g. milk frother, single cup brew function, iced coffee function, etc.) so I cannot comment on those, but I can say with certainty that this machine reliably brews a delicious pot of coffee. This machine simply brews the best tasting coffee I’ve gotten out of drip machines of similar cost. One aspect of this machine I’ve been particularly impressed by is that brews don’t have as severe a “burnt” taste after sitting on the hot pad for a few hours as other glass carafe machines. Of course, there is a noticeable burnt taste the longer the brew sits on the pad compared to the first cup, but the burnt taste is not as bad as with other machines I’ve used. Until Ninja brings back the thermal carafe version of this machine, the glass carafe version works very well all things considered. The machine is also easy to clean. Of particular note is that the water reservoir is detachable and dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning the reservoir much easier compared to machines that do not have a detachable reservoir. The carafe, carafe spout lid and basket are also dishwasher safe and very easy to take part and clean. All in all, this machine still reliably brews delicious coffee after 2.5 years of virtually daily use. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical, but it is as good as everyone says. Also easy to clean, and keep clean
The side frother is really good. easy swing out and easy to clean it. The frothed milk adds another dimension to home-coffee brewing.

I really enjoy my new coffee maker. The option to make a single (14) oz. Strong coffee is ideal. No coffee pot to wash daily. Plus the option when company shows up, I have a crafte for use.

best cup of coffee in years…with Maxell House Half CAFF!
Our k-cup top of the line that has been replaced once already and upgraded because of mold issues, was a sad cup of coffee. I have been blaming the lack of “boldness” on the Half CAFF Maxwell House, my new healthy choice. Although, old and crappy good ol’ real potent BOLD blends weren’t worth the jitters for the taste either. Cheat ICE coffee and Tuxedo hots were my take out treats, jitters on my errands around Metro Atlanta happen anyway, right. So…when the machine not only gave subpar coffee but had the audacity to become “incontintent” on my counters, that was it. My adult children had gone “Ninja” after the first K-cup mold in the tank replacement scare. Had to admit their coffee was so delish, even their Cosco Decaf, but geez $150!As I shopped for my brand name K-cup, the prices were comparable to the Ninja’s. Especially, if you want a removable water tank you can refill. I decided to just glance at the Ninja Pots and was very happy I did.The same great model my kids have used for years, like 7 years old and like new, was on sale for $130 – a penny. I shopped the Ninja Store at Amazon, and 3 of my other favorite online discount, close out and overstock places but none could beat this model, with it’s bells and whistles or ratings. Besides, already know how to work this machine, from messing around with the kids. Know it has to brew great coffee because it makes that Cosco Decaf taste great when I hit the BOLD button. (I can pretend it’s ESPRESSO!) Having Guinea Pig Coffee Consumers was a great problem to have. I have to drink lots of water, but it feels so wonderful to have an afternoon “full” Caff espresso or one with my evening dessert as I love and really, really enjoy the flavor. It’s a small joy, but these little things in life are special. My Great Grandfather introduced me to overly creamed and sugared coffee as a Preschool child, even putting Ice Cream in my cup sometimes, with our evening desserts. Because “that’s the way it was in the old Country”, that coffee plus Vino, anchovies and horseradish he would tease put hair on your chest. Was disappointed my curls never reached my chest. As a girl I grew out of that dream, never my love for Bold Coffee. Grew out of watered down 50 years ago, my tastebuds Thank You, Ninja

The Amazing, Versatile Coffee Maker That Made Me A Coffee Snob
I’m currently writing this while sipping my morning coffee, brewed specially for me by my Ninja Coffee Maker. Spoiled? Yes.I purchased this coffee maker after I had the horrible luck to accidentally shatter not one, but two carafes in a row. Looking into purchasing the replacement carafes, I was shocked to find that they cost $120 each!So I said why not, and jumped into the research pool. I came across this Ninja, and read reviews obsessively. It ticks all of my boxes; I can brew my classic ground coffee for mornings, iced coffee for summers, lattes and espressos for afternoon lulls, and it has a frother and scoop on the side!It looks amazing on my counter top, as well. It doesn’t have that large of a footprint, more wide than anything, but narrow. It looks stylish with sharp black and stainless steel, and the carafe (which is now treated with white gloves, like a National Treasure!) is very sturdy glass. My clumsy self has tapped it against our granite counters and our sink, and while I might break out in a cold sweat, it never does. Now, I did mark it 4 stars because the glue that adheres the black carafe handle to the glass itself has been affected by the heat when used; it’s spread slightly from under the black plastic, and the carafe creaks ominously when I tilt and pour a scalding hot cup of coffee – how exciting! Will this be the time it falls apart in my hands? Who’s to say! But it does give me a daring thrill every morning, which just adds to that delicious jolt of adrenaline and caffeine. Now on to the features.I’ve used this mainly for my classic ground coffee, as I find my inner Caffeine Puritan self leaning further into the black coffee category with each passing day. That’s another downfall of this coffee maker: it will raise your standards and you’ll never be able to go back. Starbucks? Sugary. Weak. Dunkin? Meh. Flavorless. Mickey D’s? No matter what your parents and grandparents genuinely believe… no. And they deserve better! Ninja? Yes, Ma’am! Thank you Ma’am!The first cup of coffee I brewed with this Ninja was made of finely (I know, the instructions say no finely ground coffee, buuut) ground Lavazza Espresso. My fiancé is not a coffee fan, but when he smelled it brewing he had to come over and see. Our entire home smelled like a rich, European chocolate! Before this coffee maker, I didn’t know that coffee wasn’t mean to be bitter! When brewed the correct way, at the right temperature, it literally tastes and smells like chocolate. Of course, that could be Lavazza’s Wizardry at work, so you’ll have to try it and see.I could go on and on, raving with my pinky raised while holding a cup of the finest brew, but I’ll summarize:Pros:- The FLAVOR: is amazing, life-changing, soul-thrilling. I’m converting my entire family one cup at a time, and have ended up buying a second coffee maker for my parents (they deserve Ninja Coffee after years of Mr. Coffee neglect).- No leakage, this water tank is solid and has been working like a champ. I did notice it smelled like… water lately, so I have begun emptying it completely and allowing it to dry out overnight, which I feel will prolong it’s life. Just my preference, if I’m cleaning the basket, carafe and spout, it takes me two seconds to dump the tiny amount of water left over below the Minimum line, and leave the top open.- The Versatility: I love that I can use this coffee maker to whip up a frothy chai lattes, or a non-diluted iced coffee, or stick to the classics and brew an entire pot for myself! Honestly the options are there, and for me that makes the Price Point very worth it.- Drop Stop convenience: it’s simple and small, but the drip stop feature is a necessity now. No more scalded burned coffee drips on the base!- Stay Warm feature: I’ve personally drank my entire pot of coffee before this feature is really used, but when I’m holding myself back in front of coffee like a respectable human being, this feature comes in quite handy.- Delay Brew feature: I love this feature! I prepare my coffee every night for the next morning, and set the Delay Brew so that I wake up like Dracula rising out of his coffin at the first scent of rich, velvety caffeine.- Cleaning feature: excellent for those with busy schedules! Or procrastinators (ahem, we prefer the term Last Minute Adrenaline Junkies). Simply dump the used coffee grounds into your nearest garbage disposal, plant or tobacco chew bag for later, add water to the reservoir, push that button with a delicate pinky and voila! Approximately an hour later you have a freshly steamed, cleaned, sanitized, glistening coffee maker ready for your next adventure.Cons:- Will ruin other coffee places for you, for life. You coffee snob, you. This is it, you’re devoted now, and nowhere else can you get that flavor, the smooth texture, the richness, the perfection!- Is not portable: which technically is debatable. I’m brave and desparate enough to pack this puppy up and take it with me to work. It’s all about perspective. But then coworkers will also become rabid Ninja Coffee fans, and prices of parts and newer products will go up, so I’ll continue taking my travel cup of joy to work with me.- The possibility of the carafe handle coming apart after years of a caffeinated death dance. It could happen, and I’m prepared for it. For now, it keeps me on my toes (literally).Ease of cleaning: 5/5Versatility: 5/5Quality: 4/5Value for Price Point: 5/5

Worth the effort to set it up
While reading other reviews of this coffee maker, I noticed one significant complaint: the coffee tasted ‘plastic’ after brewing. I followed the suggestions made in other reviews that by all appearances corrected or prevented that problem. I washed the water tank in the sink, and then the dishwasher, and then I “brewed” a 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar, followed by two brews of plain water. It was worth it. The machine is amazing, it’s quiet and I do enjoy the options of a single cup, small or large, and a half or full carafe. The coffee is delicious, and I enjoyed mine so much that I bought a second one for my daughter’s family for Christmas.

Many Coffee Options
I was in envy of my friend’s very fancy espresso coffee maker but not willing to pay the $1500 price. This Ninja coffee maker fit both my wants and price. It has so many nice options: Multiple size options for brewing amounts from a cup to a travel mug to a full carafe and it offers 3 different brew levels – classic, rich and espresso. I love how easy it is to remove the water tank for filling plus it has the fill levels marked on the tank. You don’t need to fill the tank to the exact line as it automatically uses just the amount of water needed for the cup / carafe size selected. The grounds holder swings out for easy reach and removal for cleaning. The foam maker arm pulls out from the side and is out of the way when not in use. It also easily unscrews for cleaning. Another nice feature is the measurer that snaps into a spot on the side and is so accessible when measuring out grounds for your brew. BUT for this issue, it would have been 5 stars – a sticker came on the foamer arm panel and would not come off without leaving a sticky residue on the panel. In trying to remove the adhesive, the finish came off the arm panel. It just really bothers me to see that damaged finish on the arm. Sort of ruins the perfect coffee maker appearance but of course, the coffee is still really good.

Great but not 5 star
No problems with this coffee maker. I like all the options and works great for our home. The only thing I don’t like is the actual coffee pot. The pot has a narrow opening that only a brush can fit. You can’t wash it with a regular sponge. If the pot had a bigger opening where I could wash it with a regular sponge I would give it a 5 star.

I’d give this machine 10-Stars if that was a thing.
When I first started using the Ninja, I was saying it’s the best coffee maker I’ve had in 40 years, but – after having it for some time now – I’d say it’s the best coffee maker I’ve ever had… Seriously❣️I won’t go into all the fabulous features this Ninja has, because it would take far too long, but they have thought of just about everything and placed it all into this one little machine. So what if the fold-away frother doesn’t heat the milk? Just heat the milk in the microwave before frothing.Otherwise, this machine makes a tremendous cup, travel mug or carafe full of delicious coffee with the push of a couple buttons, with choices of classic, rich and specialty brews – including iced coffee. Heck, it will even adjust its brewing temperature in relation to the elevation of where you live❣️I can’t say enough good things about this coffee maker, however you should know you’ll need a bottle brush to clean the carafe… Even with that, it has to be (one of?) the EASIEST coffee maker(s) to clean on the market.

Hate Coffee, But this Machine is a keeper
I don’t drink coffee. EVER. I do drink tea, and this machine is really good for brewing tea. What do I like?1. It’s fast, brews faster than other machines.2. You can select the size to brew from a full reservoir. No need to measure the exact amount into the carafe each time. Just fill up the reservoir when it’s low.3. Multiple cups can be brewed from a full reservoir. It’s great when several people want a cup of tea, but different blend.4. I like the lid to the carafe. It seems to help the brew retain a fresher flavor, longer.5. I can change the length of time the carafe is kept warm.6. LOVE the light indicator on the heating bar to indicate the warming plate is still hot.7. The fold down shelf is very nice for smaller cups. Reduces splashing. What am I disappointed in? (-1 Star)I wish the rich (stronger) option would produce a bit richer brew. This machine would be my perfect beverage companion if the brew strength were a bit more interactive, with perhaps a dial selector. So in the meantime, I’m just using more tea leaves.

Good cup of coffee machine, with options
For context, I’ve owned several Nespressos, a manual espresso machine, KCup machine, etc….which all were fine and have their pros. Though KCups are not my favorite. But this coffee machine is currently my favorite and I can see it being a household staple for quite awhile. This thing is great for single cup brews to save on your coffee bean or ground usage. The scoop they provide tells you how much grounds to use based on your cup or pot size, which is great! I tended to waste more coffee on traditional machines as I always used too much! You have several cup sizes to choose from including full or half pot. The temperature is hot but not “let this cup sit for 5mins before you can take a first sip”, hot.I really like the specialty function which does 4oz. You use more grounds with this option so the coffee is a bit strong, which is excellent for those protein iced coffees or milk heavy coffee drinks. It’s easy to select your cup or pot size with the turn knob and coffee strength and style with the buttons. If you have something set wrong or not enough water, it will alert you.Overall, excellent machine I’d recommend to anyone who just wants a good cup of coffee with options.

Very good choice for making less than a full carafe!
I love the features, that all the bits I need to clean frequently are top rack dishwasher safe, and that I can brew directly into my own cups, which means one less thing to clean unless I want to make a whole carafe, which is VERY rare for us. My son loves the former, which is much easier to use and clean than the stand alone one I have, which I am going to get rid of now! I have not yet figured out the perfect amount of grounds etc to have it TASTE great yet, which is why it gets a 4. I will try to remember to upgrade this later when (hopefully!) I figure out the magic recipe of amount, grind, and other brew options to make a cup that tastes great TO ME. I am trying to make about 26 oz of coffee at once, and half a carafe actually makes more like 30 oz. But the next size down is 22 if memory serves. Overall, this thing is great. I love the clean cycle and the fact that it gives instructions for cleaning with vinegar in addition to a dealer product.

Great Coffee, Could Be Easier to Clean
This machine makes great coffee, and it makes if fairly quickly. We haven’t had a chance to try anything but the regular brew setting, but this is night and day from our old cheap Mr. Coffee machine. Also make sure you’re grinding your beans a little finer for the cone basket than a typical basket brewer. My only gripe is that whoever designed this thing did not care at all about your ability to clean the carafe or water tank. I cannot get my hand in either of them to clean them properly. Not a huge problem, we’ll just make sure to rinse the carafe right away and use a brush to clean both as needed.

Classic Coffee Machine 2.0
This is really just a modernized version of the classic coffee machine to me. It does a lot of things well but none of them fantastically. Very very well designed though.I’ve used the froth wand with both creamer and milk and both warm and cold, and it’s a nice touch but you won’t get what a lot of people I’ve seen here expect like at Starbucks. At Starbucks the topping on your coffee is steamed milk and this is not (I believe they also use eggs whites), steaming gives it a lot more solidity so you it can hold the caramel sauce and what not.The specialty setting is not bad, I liked it for what it was and thought it was well made. This is not an espresso machine and it will not give you the results you get at a cafe. It’s good for macchiatos still and you can dilute it as you want as well so that was nice. I’ve used the half and full carafe modes and thought they were average results.I love this design. First off the way it’s built you don’t need like 6” of clearance over the top of the machine. The water tank detaches with maybe one 2” or clearance needed. The filter and folder pull forward and are easy to remove and slide right back in. There’s a build in removable measuring spoon on the side and it clips right back into the side and you can’t really see it unless you look for it. The glass carafe is slick and light while still feeling solid enough I don’t feel like I have to handle it like a lightbulb when it’s hot however I am not testing that out intentionally. The fold down mug holder is sweet. It keeps it from splashing all over and keeps the machine really clean. I only have to wipe down some splashes and smudges once a week maybe every two weeks. What I also really like is how easy this is to clean. The descaling instructions in the manual include directions for vinegar and you don’t need measuring cups or anything. The system will cycle through its cleaning mode on its own and then I flush the system with a water cycle. Outside of the descaling there’s only like 4 pieces including the mesh filter if you’re using that. They all are easy to clean and there’s a drip stop switch which prevents most of the staining.

Pleasing features at every turn – and it tastes good too!
After putting up with a cheapo Mr. Coffee for several years and failing to get good coffee flavor no matter what beans we used, making a bigger investment in the Ninja turned out to be a wise decision. First things first: this thing makes a really solid brew – and I’ve made a full carafe, half, single cups of multiple sizes and their ‘special brew’ which is a “kind of” espresso shot. All are far better than any home brewer we’ve had.The machine is well designed – the water reservoir is easy to remove for filling or can be filled in place – it’s easy to see how full it is and add just what’s needed. The hand grips are for righty’s so if you’re left handed you may not like it as well. The carafe pours well, no drips on the counter. There’s a drip stop lever if you’re impatient and an alarm/light to alert you if you leave it engaged. A warning light cautions you if the heating plate is warm. The filter basket has a lovely swivel out motion. The milk frother is easy to use, tucks out of sight if unneeded and removes easily for cleaning. Even the built in coffee scoop is handily located and has the measurements for each brew size right on the handle. Coffee is good and hot and stays at a good temperature on the plate. Are there any ‘buts’? Only a couple so far, and they’re minor. Note that you’ll want some space above the unit if placed under cabinet so you can lift the filter up and out to empty. The filter is conical so with a little finesse you are able to remove without pulling straight up. If we had to pull it out from under the cabinet daily to take out the basket that would be frustrating. If you change the dial and make a single cup brew, remember to set the dial back to carafe (or your preferred brew size) or you will be disappointed in the morning! And about the carafe, it is a 10-cup volume, not 12 – so it falls just a bit short of four large mugs. Otherwise – a really solid unit, good flavor, nice features and only a handful of minor complaints.

It’s a Ninja
I know it’s not the flagship copymaker. From Ninja, But it seems to work very well. The coffee’s good operates. Pretty simply gets it done pretty quickly when i’m not in the mood for my pour over, it’s a good alternative

A++ Coffee Maker – Certified by the Specialty Coffee Association Brewer Program.
I have had this coffee maker for just about a year and it’s top notch for the price. It’s also certified by the SCA. Other certified coffee makers cost double or even triple. They look at things like proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the SCA Golden Cup recommendations. Definitely a little in the weeds but, it does brew a great cup. I also love how I can brew just a standard insulated mugs worth. My wife is not a fan of hot coffee so this is a great feature for me.I had one issue with the Removable filter holder. Where the drip stop function would not actually stop the drip. Upon further inspection it appeared that I lost an o-ring or gasket that attaches the stem that moves up and down. I was still under warranty (by only a about a week or two) so, I called support hoping to just get a new o-ring/gasket. Support was great and they wound up sending me a whole new removable coffee filter holder, free under warranty. Retail for that would have been $12.95. My old filter holder was completely functioning except for that missing part. Now that my warranty is up, I figured it would most definitely be possible to lose that o-ring agian. Not wanting to spend 13$ plus shipping if it happened again, I went to my local HD hardware store. After some trial and error I can confirm that #78 O-Ring (7/16″ O.D. x 1/4″ I.D. x 3.32″) works as a suitable replacement. It was about 3$ for a pack of 10. I tried to capture this issue in my photos. One of the pictures you can see a bit of light towards the bottom center. Then the other picture shows the above mentioned replacement o-ring installed and no light showing. Confirmed no leaks and have brewed multiple pots/mugs of coffee since installing.Outside of that one issue it has been solid through and through. A+ Product, A+ Customer service (though I wish they would have just provided a 30 cent O-ring instead of the whole holder. Just to cut down on waste). 100 % would recommend to a friend.

Love the coffee but it leaks
We no longer have the time to do pour over and we’re wanting more coffee it was time to get a coffee maker. I like the slim design of this one and the coffee comes out fantastic. We always use the rich brew option and sometimes I will make a latte using the specialty option. And really it tastes like what I could get at a coffee shop. Would be a five star review if it didn’t leak. I called customer service and it was miracle I was able to somewhat peacefully get through the hour I was on the phone (I have a bunch of little kids) unfortunately the unit did not actively leak during the video call so I didn’t get any help. So my coffee maker still leaks and it’s warped my countertop underneath. I hesitate to try customer service again because I really don’t have the ability to have long conversations like that on the phone and for what? To have the thing not leak right away again? I wish they could just take my word for it and send me a new gasket.

Finally! No more pods.
Pros: Easy to use, relatively easy to clean, offers options for different tastes. I haven’t tried the “over ice” brew yet, but the “rich” and “specialty” are fantastic! I never knew I needed a milk frother in my life!Cons: For me, the “classic” brew is too weak. The carafe is tricky to clean. I can’t get my hand into the top to wash or dry the inside. So, while it looks nice, it requires a bottle brush.

We love that we can make from a full pot down to a single 8oz cup. Works great all around.

So far…….TERRIFIC!!!
I just got it today and was a little wary of the reviews unhappy with a plastic taste to the coffee. I ran the burn-in first and then put all the plastic in the dishwasher. Then I made my first cup of coffee and it really was terrific. I almost always make a single cup of coffee so not having to use the carafe is a key feature for me. I like my coffee strong so I used the standard cup with the rich brew. I use Starbucks French Roast and this coffee maker made the best cup of it I’ve ever had. Obviously I’ve barely used the coffee maker but if it continues to perform this way I will be more than happy with it. I also like that the reservoir is removable and the coffee maker just uses the exact amount of water it needs for a particular setting as long as it is filled enough for the size selected.

Fine Tuning Needed
We love the flavor of the coffee on the rich setting and the ability to vary the size. However, when it shipped the reservoir was cracked and unusable so I had to be on a conference call with Amazon and Ninja, give Ninja my Visa info, and pay for the shipment of a new one with Amazon reimbursing me, which meant a delay in getting to use our new coffee maker. Also, we have been unable to make a full carafe of coffee. Every time we use that setting, I have to use the cup size setting and continue brewing in order to achieve a full carafe of coffee. Then I have to remember to move the knob back to carafe brewing and turn the keep warm setting on to keep it hot. Fortunately, we only need this setting when we have company so it isn’t worth trying to figure out another complicated fix. That’s the downside of ordering something large and tgis complex on Amazon that would be difficult to return or have repaired. Also, I agree with a previous review that it would be nice to have more settings for the carafe. I have to go through the same above process every morning because we normally brew 8 cups and we either have to use the half carafe setting and brew an extra cup or use the full carafe setting and waste coffee. Hmmm. Maybe the flaw in the full carafe setting can work in our favor…I’ll try that tomorrow! Overall, we like the flexibility of the machine.

Water reservoir issue
Everything about the coffee machine is great except the water reservoir issue. It fills up with water and stays. I have to go in and remove the water that sits there. For the amount of money spent, this should not be happening. Not sure why the water sits. I’m a little disappointed, but all in all, the coffee maker is great.

Perfect for my household
I was looking for a coffee maker that could brew a full pot or a single cup. My husband doesn’t drink coffee, but my parents regularly visit and are bug coffee drinkers. I love that the ninja has multiple options for what size you are brewing. I also like that the coffee scoop has suggestions on the amount of coffee grinds to use. The coffee carafe is smaller than a standard 12 cup pot, so you may have to brew multiple pots for a larger crowd or if you are bug coffee drinkers. Also, I ended up purchasing disposible filters since the reusable filter was so difficult to clean.I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely recomend the ninja if you need something a little more advanced.

No auto shut off
So far so good except no auto shut off and there’s coffee grounds in the cups, so you have to use paper filters to solve the problem

Wife says best at-home coffee ever
We had the same model for 6 years, no issues until a switch failed..we could’ve easily repaired it but she found this one. Some of the features you can’t take for granted like if you want a half a pot you can’t fill the reservoir full and just use half the water. There is a line for half (which oddly is not 50% of a full pot). You need to fill to THAT line. Also there is a Ninja scoop that comes with it. Something about it is different and you MUST use that scoop. Obviously it is a different size than what you would expect by looking at it. Dunno. My wife is the coffee person. I’m the review submitter.

I actually love this machine!
I didn’t think I would like it as much! I’m in love with my iced coffee in my Yeti cup which this machine does an outstanding job on! I never even used to drink iced coffees until I got this! It’s sooo good! (4 scoops coffee, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger in the filter unit- brewed on the over ice setting into a travel cup filled with ice and a tablespoon salted caramel zero calories syrup-splash of almond milk if liked)Makes a pot of coffee too which can sit on the brew plate and keep warm for 4 hours.I do have an issue with the cup sizes, the smallest one is way bigger than a standard 8oz cup, it went everywhere! You’ll need to use a bigger cup to avoid this! That’s the only issue I have really!I like herbal tea and didn’t want to have a separate unit for that so I just put a teabag into the coffee brew unit and make an individual cup, again, use a bigger cup or it spills every where! Or make it in the carafe and it’ll stay warm on the burner! You can also make a strong coffee, 4oz like an espresso on the specialty setting and you can froth milk using the wand, you’ll need to heat the almond milk in the microwave first though as it will only froth the milk and not heat it. Works great on plant milk. It’s a great machine! I really like it. It does pretty much everything, individual cups of coffee, pots of coffee, espresso like so you can make lattes / cappuccinos, iced coffee, and you can make herbal teas too. Oh and you don’t need pods, can use your favourite coffee grounds! Yeay! Like I said, really didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do, but I do!

Most Genius Coffee Maker yet
I absolutely LOVE this coffee pot. There isn’t anything that I have found that I don’t like. I was debating between this coffee maker and the Keurig 1cup and multiple cup function coffee maker and I am glad I chose this option instead. Reasons I like it:1. The removable water tank makes it convenient to fill up in the sink.2. The pull out feature for the filter where the coffee grinds go is amazing.3. If you for some reason forget to place the coffee pot where the drip feature goes, you can flip the switch that stops the liquid from dripping. The machine beeps at you when you activate this feature as well.4. You do NOT have to blend a whole pot of coffee to enjoy a brew on the go. There are multiple size options from 8oz all the way to 34oz and it’s a life saver.5. It has a clean function that allows you to clean your machine as needed.6. The handle of the coffee pot feels nice and solid.7. There are options for cold brew if you want to brew your coffee over ice. While it might not make steamed milk or mochas, it’s still a fantastic coffee machine. The design is absolutely genius and makes for small spaces like condos or apartments easy. Hence they pull out option with the coffee filter for the coffee beans. Also, you’re not purchasing a box full of single cup plastics that will get added to the landfills. There is even a spoon that tells you how many scoops are suggested for the amount of coffee you want to brew.

This is our 2nd Ninja coffee maker, we love the Ninja brand better than the other brand we had purchased for years. Ninja gets the water to a temperature to a point that brings the taste out of the ground coffee.

Authentic barista quality coffee at home
I spent more on this than any previous coffee makers that I have owned. The performance of my Ninja pro blender purchased over 12 years ago gave me the confidence to buy this item. It was worth every penny. The ability to make a wide variety of coffees was also a key factor. The ability to do that is one thing but to do that task at such high level was unexpected to say the least. I use Folgers BlackSilk coffee. The beverages that I have made on my kitchen counter taste phenomenal and on par with that coffee chain out of Portland at a fraction of the price. I have never had the milk frother attachment before.i did not expect to use it but that hasn’t been the case. I have become to love my iced latte topped with the thick frothy creamy goodness. I am pleasantly surprised at how much my coffee pallet has expanded. I was a cup of plain black strong coffeemost of the time kind of guy. Now I enjoy all kinds of flavored beverages that range from hot to cold and even iced. I cannot go on without touching on the ease of cleanup and maintenance on this unit. It is so easy clean, practically rinse off under running water and let dry. I would recommend this coffee maker to any and all who enjoys a great cup of Joe! The quality, durability, and value of this makes it fantastic purchase IMO it is the best coffee maker that I have ever owned in my 55 years of life.

Life’s Too Short to Drink Bad Coffee — LOVE This Machine!
We’ve been using this for a week or so now. This replaced a broken Keurig machine. We’ve been through Cuisinart and Keurig machines for the past several years. We’re all done with K-cups. Love this machine — lots of options, very simple to use, and best of all, it makes delicious-tasting coffee! 100% recommend!

Really like this brewer
What I like about this brewer is it’s versatility. So many things you can do with it. What I don’t like about it is the measurements. I am used to seeing number of cups on the side of the pot and brewer. This is different. I felt like I was attempting to figure out the metric system to make coffee. Took about 3 attempts to match things up. Also, set up of clock and auto-brew was a little different and took awhile. Other than that everything has worked out fine

Very nice, except…
This coffee machine is pretty wonderful except the size settings are quite wonky. Look at my photo. I put a pretty nice sized travel mug on it to brew a travel mug sized cup of coffee. I took my dogs out for a walk and came back to that. Also the plain cup setting is also way too much coffee. A standard cup of coffee should be 6 oz. Nothing more. This stinking machine will fill up a 10 oz cup on the smallest setting leaving you no room for cream or anything. Must be careful when using this. I now only brew a standard cup or I use the carafe. The other settings brew way too much coffee.

Fantastic

I spent hours upon hours looking for a new coffee maker. I’ve always used single pod coffee makers but I recently switched to using ground coffee because it’s cheaper. I was using a reusable pod with filters. I decided I wanted the option to make more than one cup of coffee at a time. What I found was most coffee makers that gave you the option of both pod and carafe (very few) had presets of 8, 10, 12 oz or full carafe. With this coffee maker I get way more options. 8, 10, 12, 14 oz, travel mug, 1/4 carafe, 1/2 carafe, full carafe. When using the carafe options the hot plate turns on and you can set the temperature as well as how long to keep it warm, up to 4 hours. There is a red caution light that comes on when using the warmer. When brewing cups and travel mug the hot plate does not come on and there is a flip down cup holder to prevent splashing. When using the carafe you can manually turn it to stop drip so you can grab a cup mid brew.It comes with a reusable filter or you can use #4 cone shaped paper filters which I prefer to use since I have several people who drink different coffee. It also comes with its own coffee scoop that has a small and large side. It tells you how many scoops you need for whatever size coffee you need. I like that it stores on the side of the coffee maker to save room. You can choose Classic, Rich, Cold Brew, or Over Ice. I normally don’t need the cold brew or over ice but my daughter likes that option. I think I would use it to brew sweet tea.You can program it to start at a certain time, so you can set it up the night before and wake up to fresh coffee. The water reservoir holds up to 55 oz. The unit is 15 inches tall and fits under the cabinet. The water holder does not need to be lifted high to remove and refill. My counter to cabinet height is 17 inches and I can use this without any issues. The flavor is so good. I have always used pods and when I tasted my coffee for the first time using this coffee maker the flavor was so much better. Also, it smells so good while brewing and after. When first starting it up it will make an initial noise for like 2 seconds then it’s completely silent. It will play a short series of beeps when it’s done brewing. At this moment I cannot recommend this coffee maker enough. If I run into issues over time I will update my review.Yes I know there are ants in the background of my video. I have ant baits under the coffee mat so they are going back and forth from the bait to their ant hill.

I love this coffee maker!
This is the second time I’ve purchased the Ninja specialty coffee maker. I love that the smart scoop is incorporated as well as the frother. I’m only giving it four stars however because this one seems to be made with much cheaper material than my previous one. The smart scoop doesn’t stay on the side and falls off. The quality of the coffee ground holder is also cheaper material as well as the entire base. It does seem to make better coffee but I think that is just because of the age of my other Ninja specialty coffee maker.

Amazing coffee maker but missing frother part
First, I want to say this is an amazing coffee maker! I love everything about it! I was recommending it to a friend and noticed it has a frother attached to it (GAME CHANGER). I got home immediately and checked it out to use it, but the attachment is on the frother. The frother comes out and will power, but I don’t have the attachment that goes into the milk.Besides that, this coffee maker is my all-time favorite! I use to have a Keurig and I’m so happy I switched! It does everything, full pot, half pot, cup, etc. If you’re in the market for a new coffee maker, you won’t be disappointed with this one!

Great Coffee Maker That Gets the Job Done – Just a Bit Big for the Counter!
Our mornings have definitely gotten smoother since we picked up the Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker. Typically, the alarm goes off around 6 AM, and while we’re all trying to shake off the sleep, the Ninja is already at work. My wife gets the first cup—she likes the classic brew option, which the machine does perfectly every time. It’s strong enough to kickstart his day, but not too bitter, which was a problem with our last coffee maker. As the kids stumble into the kitchen, I switch to a smaller brew size. I love that I can make myself a quick single cup without wasting a full pot, especially on those mornings when I’m running late. If I have a little more time, I’ll use the built-in frother to make a latte, which feels like a nice treat without heading to a coffee shop. The machine is pretty intuitive, so even when we’re rushing out the door, it’s easy to navigate. The only downside is that it’s a bit bulkier than expected, so it does take up more counter space than I’d like. But overall, it seems to be a great addition to our morning routine, making those hectic mornings just a little bit easier to handle.

Makes a great tasting HOT cup/pot of coffee!
The media could not be loaded.
We bought this coffee maker (in store) a few months ago and absolutely love it! I’ve always had cheap coffee makers, and really struggled with the idea of spending over $100 on a coffee maker, but boy am I glad we did!First the good:•It looks kinda sharp. It certainly looks different than most coffee makers, and I find I like how it looks in my kitchen.•Its countertop footprint isn’t too big. Granted, this coffee maker is tall, so you do need enough vertical space between your counter tops and the bottom of your upper cabinets. But actual horizontal square footage/inches is on the conservative side.•The coffee brews pretty quickly. It only takes a couple of minutes for a half a pot.•Not only does the coffee have good flavor and not taste burnt or overbrewed, it does so while still being very hot. I hate coffee that is already lukewarm before you even take your first sip. And the warmer plate keeps it hot!•Its easy to clean. The removable water resevoir makes keeping the maker itself clean so much easier than traditional drip coffee makers. And while the narrow opening of the top of the pot may prove difficult to get your hand and sponge inside to clean, any type of cup/bottle cleaner on a stick does the job perfectly.•I love that I can make different quantities. For just the two of us, a half pot in the morning is perfect. When we have company, I can easily make a full pot. Some afternoons I want a second cup, and I can either make a big travel mug or a small coffee cup. Add in the delay brew timer, and this is easily the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned! The bad:•My biggest, and really only complaint is that the travel XL Mug brew setting fills my insulated travel mug to the tippy top. I have to *gasp* waste coffee by pouring a few ounces down the drain just to be able to add cream and sugar. This would not be an issue for anyone who drinks their coffee black. Or perhaps, this is just the perfect excuse for me to get a new, bigger coffee travel cup!! Yeah, ok so maybe this isn’t a negative after all. ;)Lastly, a few reviews have mentioned problems with water leaking. I had this happen a couple times before I figured out the issue. When you go to fill the reserve tank, that max fill line is really the MAX FILL, absolutely NO wiggle room. If you look at the resevoir from the side, if the water line is even a hair over the max line, you will get leaking water. I don’t even let the water line touch the max line, but rather just a hair under. If you are looking down into the removable resevoir you can see the plastic tab with MAX written on it. If your water is touching that tab at all, you will get water leaking. As long as you avoid overfilling the resevoir there shouldn’t be any leaking.

I love this!
It’s so easy to use, has the spoon, and permanent filter, and pretty compact for my coffee nook area. I love it! Most importantly, my husband loves it! We do 2 small scoops for a 14oz cup and all my husband has to do is put his travel mug on and press classic and go to work. Also made a great Christmas gift!

Great coffee Maker
The media could not be loaded.
I just made my 1st cup of coffee and it is delicious and much hotter than my very old coffee maker. Super easy to put together you run at one time one full pot and then from there you make your coffee. I love how the measuring stick attached to the side has measurements for a cup a half a pot a full pot takes the guesswork out. I did the three scoops for an extra large cup of coffee and it was perfect. No more wasting money on Kpos which due to the Plastic I’ve read articles that say it’s not the healthiest. It is definitely worth to purchase and it’s very nice looking. And I love that you can actually see how much water is in the reservoir and it’s easy to remove and fill. And there are no filters for water 💧 you have to worry about. Highly recommend!
