I love this machine
So I spent about 6 weeks researching different SuperAuto Espresso machines. Ones that are twice the price or with a wait list with less functionality. I noticed that most of the reviews on all the supers were how they were going to save a fortune by not going to Starbucks or other coffee shops to get their favorite coffee. I stopped going to coffee shops long ago. My purchase was to not have to work so hard to make my coffee. If you are like me, I see a food or drink that I like and I say “I can do that” . My only issue with the way I was making my coffee was inconsistency. I bought this one because it seemed to have all the functionality I was looking for. Plus I knew it would make my coffee consistent. We were in Europe earlier this summer and our hotel had a commercial superauto. It was amazing every time I pushed a button. That is what I was looking for.I have had this machine for about a week and after many trials (coffee drinks, lol), I have found my perfect cappuccino, latte, flat white, and macchiato, every single time. The cleaning system on this machine great as it has notifications with every aspect of the machine. If you are looking for a superauto espresso machines I would highly recommend this one, it is great! Your neighbors will be jealous too.

Exceptional espresso and fancy coffee creator
I did a lot of research on fully automatic espresso machines..glad I did… I’m sure many of the other espresso machines do a great job also but this machine is fully automatic when it’s grinding coffee the noise level is low compared to other automatic machines that grind the coffee, machine takes about 2 minutes 15 seconds from cold boot to ready to use it preclaims the milk system and the Brewer as part of that boot up… I just have to say this machine makes coffee that you are not going to get at Starbucks… Everything this machine makes comes out wonderful… You can use half and half or regular milk or probably any medium that you want I have not tried almond milk yet but I’ll get to that but for right now I have created a mixture of half of the chocolate milk and the other half is half and half, and that’s what I use for my milk mixture..it makes the best coffees…. I did some calculating and it looks like my mixture adds about 70 calories to a double espresso shot drink….. Another cool drink would be a double espresso shot with a half a teaspoon of turbinado sugar and then hot half and half or milk foam on top….but so far this machine is so impressive… For 85 extra dollars I purchased the four year full warranty.. I will try to make example drinks of everything it will make and take some pictures…. If I find out anything more interesting I will amend my review…

Amazing and easy to use.
Had it for a few days now, and it’s absolutely amazing, only tweak I made was upping the coffee grams and the temperature, but that’s probably more personal preference then anything.Had a minor issue and reached out to the merchant/manufacturer and they got right back to me lightning quick with an actual answer.Check out the merchant rating if you’d like to see how well they stand by their products.The machine is customizable but also worked well right out of the box, the few minute video really covered everything and probably took less time than watching the video did.

We purchased the Magia replace an 11 year-old DeLonghi Magnifica machine that finally gave up the ghost, and so far it has been fantastic. We’re using Lavazza espresso beans in our machine and the taste of the drinks is outstanding. I did ratchet up the amount of coffee in my favorite selections a few points from the default, but I didn’t have to max them out to reach an ideal strength for me and I tend to like my coffee on the mid-to-strong side. I was a little surprised that there’s not some kind of matching/coordinated milk container for the milk frother attachment, but I’ll admit that it’s not really an issue beyond the “counter appeal”. The milk steamer attachment worried me a bit, but so far it has proven to be easy to clean and very effective at its job – the results are consistently “coffee shop good”, and while I’m not sure exactly how, the coffees are significantly less bitter than the same pulls from the previous machine (using the same beans). Unless we encounter some longevity or maintenance issues down the road, this’ll be the best “coffee thing” I’ve ever owned.

Great machine but bean size matters!
So far, so good! We have been using the machine for almost 2 months now, and so far we have been satisfied and happy..the only thing that concerns us a bit is that our coffee puck is muddy when we tried to use beans we bought from Sam’s club. We noticed that Beans we bought are a bit larger than what we use before (which was just given to us by a friend as a starter- Volcanica brand) and the grinder is having a hard time thus the puck is more of water than grounds. We switched back to Volcanica and everything is doing great! We love our machine and we are literally obsessed as we feel like we have our own starbucks at home!

Makes great coffee and cleans itself, what could be better? Worth the money
Coffee is great. Very easy to make your favorite coffee. I mainly bought it because it grinds and makes the coffee into a single cup. Coffee is very fresh. I have also made fancier drinks with it as well and works great. Cleans itself (a little more than is necessary but I would rather have it more than not enough). You can adjust the level of grinding by coffee type and holds at least 3 different people profiles so you can have different settings for different people. I called the help line on the weekend because the water bin was cracked. They weren’t open on the weekend but called me back on Monday and promptly shipped a replacement water bin. No hassles. Great product with great customer service. Worth the money.

Ignore bad reviews
Ignore the bad reviews, people that don’t know how to read directions. This machine does exactly what you tell it to do. People that are saying the coffee is weak, if you would have read the directions you would know theirs a dial in the back that controls the coffee grinder, it makes the coffee weaker or stronger. Also your beans have a big play in this factor. Fresh beans= good coffee. It blows my mind people can write a bad review that effects a business over their failure to read directions. I get it some products have lemons, if you got a lemon this review isn’t for you. It makes amazing Machiatos and we love everything about it. Please read the book before you even plug it in.

I originally read through the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance as I have owned Delonghi and a Jura automatic espresso machines both of which failed / required expensive repairs. I have been using the unit for over a month now and it performs perfectly. There were some reviews implying that the written manual was insufficient, however, there really is nothing difficult about using and maintaining the machine. Anyone who is not able figure out how to use all of the functions should probably not be handling hot liquids anyway. Another review indicated that the coffee was not hot enough but there is an easy adjustment for this as well and the expresso I made was very hot (as much as any other espresso machine I used). The construction of the unit is just as good as the competitors and the large display allows for easy customization of the drink menu. I typically do not write reviews for purchases but felt that the other negative responses were unwarranted.

My daughter loves espresso and mixed coffee drinks. We initially got her an entry model to see if she would use it. She was using it, but it was stressful to use and clean. This unit is a HUGE upgrade. It’s completely automated, easy to use and self cleaning. Just find the drink you want and tap it to start brewing. It’s extremely easy to use and has a wide variety of drinks to choose from.It does require a minimal level of maintenance. First, you need to fill the consumables. That is pretty easy, but it requires access (see image). Every 8 brews the unit will prompt you to empty the spent coffee bin. Again, it’s pretty easy, but you need access to the side. If your drinks require milk, it’s has a detachable reservoir that can be stored in a fridge.The unit cleans itself on startup and shutdown. If you use milk, it requires you to switch out the milk with water during the cleaning cycle. You can just stick the hose in a glass of water. Cleaning uses a considerable amount of water, so you have to keep your eye on the waste water tray. It has a small float that gives you an idea of how full it is.The unit supports up to 10 user profiles. That seems a little overkill to me, but I guess if you were using it in a small office that may be useful. The profiles allow you to fine tune the brew process to your liking.The unit also has a recipe book with more advanced drinks. The recipes are easy to read and follow.If you were using it in an office setting, you would need a person to be in charge of filling it and emptying the waste at least daily. The milk reservoir stays cool and has a small cooling puck, but I’m not sure how long you could leave it out safely.

Great coffee
We are impressed with our new Machine. It takes a little time to get your choices right, but I like it better than my old Jura Z9 machine because I can choose any coffee, and during the process I can add or reduce my choice. The coffee is very strong but adjustable and I like the milk and foam .Yes the turning on goes a little slow but I did not check in my book if that can be changed. I like that the machine cleans after every use. We definitely drink more coffee than before because it tastes so good. I also clean out the coffee maker every night so that everything is ready for the morning, also make sure enough beans are in the container and water is filled. So a little bit work but fun.And when I walk into my house I can smell the coffee which I missed, the other machine did not have that capacity.

Easy Set up Makes Great Coffee
Mixed reviews but you figure those that are happy with a product are usually the least to leave reviews. I am happy with the maker . Easy set up. Took only about 20 mins from start to finish before I was making . Heard the coffee to a great temp so you aren’t waiting forever for it to cool down. Am insulated cup and it stays drinkable warm. The design is sleek. I love how it looks. Value I do believe it is worth it over time especially with todays high cup of coffee prices if you are a multi coffee cup drinker. Easy to clean and to add water. I do agree the tank would be better suited to be on the side but for this makes it does come out easily from the back. No issue with the brewing and coffee taste great. I would purchase this again. If anything changes will update.

Great Bean to cup Super Automatic
Take a few minutes with this machine. I started an espresso, pulled the power cord mid-puck making, weighed the coffee grounds (12g) before the water, and adjusted the amount of water to balance the extraction as best I could; I adjusted the grind size 2-3 times; the final output (even with the water set to 24g) was around 30g, so it’s a more than 1:2, (2:5), but it’s a vast improvement over the default settings the machine comes with, and for a super-automatic, it makes delicious coffee every time. The only annoying thing is that it cleans itself constantly, even between drinks. Aside from that, this is a great machine, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the drinks it makes.

I LOVE this machine!
While it did take some getting used to, once you get the settings the way you like them it’s pretty simple to use. This coffee machine has everything I wanted and needed on it. I don’t like that even with a cup it drains into the tray and still fills it up, but it’s a small complaint really. Much cheaper than going to a coffee shop and my coffee tastes the same every cup. I read all the other reviews and comments before buying this machine, so I knew what to expect and how to tweak the machine to make it do what I wanted. I think most of the bad reviews were people that didn’t take the time to tweak the settings to customize it to how they like it. I will update my review if anything changes, but so far I love it!

Worth every penny!!
My husband and I bought this together as a Valentine’s Day present to each other and we absolutely love it! It is so easy to use. It is very easy to clean and all of the drinks are barista quality. I will never go back to regular coffee again if you are a cappuccino and espresso lover, or if you consider yourself a coffee connoisseur- this is for you!!! We LOVE ours and now can’t imagine not having it!

This machine is soooooo amazing! I can’t say enough good about it! I have used it for 3 months now, and used it every morning, and it is still impressive! I have no complaints. Yea, yea, I guess I would agree that the water tank could be bigger for all the automatic cleaning this thing does, but I think because it cleans so much’ the machine will last longer, and there will be less calcium build up, so descaling won’t have to happen so often maybe?Who know? I just know I would buy it again because it’s great!

This saves me time, about 30mins a day.
This saves me 30mins a day and over all it saves me about 3-4 hours a week which doesn’t seem like a lot but over time when you aren’t grinding, cleaning and dumping grounds every morning before work you just throw in a cup and go shave then come back to a hot cup you’ll be ready for the morning with this sweet machine. So far it grinds it perfectly, with milk and shots in good ratio. I can’t help but love it for the time savings also not buying drinks at commercial coffee places omw to work. Just in two weeks I’ve saved 30$ in coffee. So its starting to slowly pay its self off.For the actual device it is very practical easy to clean so far and dump the grounds out of the bin makes it great quick clean and go again if you need. The only issue so far I have with it and it isn’t the devices fault but when I put the milk away in the fridge the line can be plugged since its only a 1mm hole. So I take it out and soak it in water when its idle.I watched some reviews on it spitting everywhere and I realized the people who posted that didn’t pull the head down. It doesn’t spit everywhere unless you leave the milk line sucking up air and milk.Buy it its great.

Los equipos inteligentes no pueden superar a sus dueños. Voy a empezar diciendo esto porque he visto otros reviews de esta cafetera que hablan más de quienes lo publicaron que del equipo. Si ven mi video notarán que es extremadamente funcional. La compré en Marzo del 2024 y ya estamos en Enero del 25 y yo la volvería a comprar. Si pudiera darle un consejo útil a quienes la quieran comprar y mantener sería que le hagan todas las limpiezas que la máquina recomiende y más para que su funcionalidad no decaiga. Algo que he notado también es que la cantidad de café que desecha depende de la calidad del grano que le pongas. Yo uso La Llave que es un grano duro y por tanto no desprecia mucho. De todas formas el que cae no es para botar tampoco, si mantienes higiénica tu cafetera lo puedes utilizar en el lado de café ya molido. Es solo cuestión de reunirlo en un contenedor para cafés. Por todo lo demás la cafetera es excelente y mis invitados siempre quedan impresionados con el sabor, la calidad y la brevedad con la que les brindo mi café.

EXCELLENT ESPRESSO MACHINE. RIVALS VERY EXPENSIVE ONES.
This Espresso brewer is outstanding and rivals the more expensive models by other companies. It offers so many espresso recipes at the touch of an icon. It is easy to clean and brews excellent coffee delights. The loud sounding solenoids gave me some misgivings in the beginning but now I am comfortable with this entire unit. I believe the quality of construction to be very good, however, time will tell. I did purchase an extended warranty. It is manufactured by a minority owned company which I believe to be a good thing. If you love various coffee drinks custom made to your taste this is an espresso machine for you.UPDATED ONE MONTH LATER.I have owned the Espresso brewer now for about a month and have used it extensively. It is an outstanding brewer that I highly recommend if you love coffee. My advice is to clean the milk frothing unit every time you make one of the coffee drinks otherwise the tube or the actual frother has a tenacity to clog up. It is exceptionally easy to clean which is another plus.THIS IS A TWO MONTH UPDATE: I have been successfully using this espresso machine for exactly 2 months and still delighted with it. However, in these 2 month the coffee dustpan has collected about 3 ounces of ground coffee that seems to be discarded into the pan after every use. This is somewhat of a waste so I collect it and seal it in an airtight container to use later. Granted it won’t be as fresh as I would like but it also won’t be wasted. I still highly recommend this unit.CUSTOMER SERVICE UPDATE:: Don’t rely on the Magia customer service. The plastic plug that covers the ground coffee chute broke quite easily and this company will not even answer my request for a new one. I finally went to Ace Hardware and purchased a metal cap that works better than the original.

Its a great machine! I love having one machine that will do it all! You do have to read the directions or watch the videos. After some adjustments got the coffee to taste the way I like it.

Overall amazing
Overall the machine works great. I don’t spend extra cash on energy drinks or Starbucks anymore and it’s saving me a bunch of money long term. The only downside being you have to clean out the left over espresso catch in the side of the machine quite often, but that’s more of a me being lazy thing than an issue with the machine. I’d highly recommend it. I noticed some reviews saying it stopped working after about 2 weeks for them, but haven’t had any issues about a month in. You can spend just a little more and get the machine covered here, but after I purchased it I realized the website of the manufacturer covers the machine with a lifetime warranty so you’ll be good if anything happens to it.

Great coffee maker saves lots of money every day, very easy to use and clean.So many great coffee drinks options you can set up.My favorite is cappuccino and cafe macchiato and regular black coffee. The machine consistency cleans after each drink keeps little extra time from you but it’s good for the maintenance and you don’t have to worry for building the blockage. I’m using filtered water I buy at the grocery store… if you love to smooth taste of your coffee try Fiji water, the taste is excellent.Only one thing I can say negative is …the drink wasn’t enough hot even if you adjusted to fully high temperatures. I always have to put my drink to the microwave warm up before I leave my house.But otherwise I still enjoy the coffee maker every each day sometimes 3x per day….. I’m very satisfied

Our Office Loves It!
I recently purchased this for our office staff, and they love it! We’ve been using a Keurig for a couple of years, but our employees were over the watered-down taste. The setup and instructions were surprisingly easy, and the touch screen is intuitive. I’ve tried nearly every type of coffee in the machine and they have all been “cafe” quality. I was worried about the cleanup and maintenance (because I would be the one doing it) but it is super simple and all of our employees can clean the machine without any problems. Ten stars!

I Love This Machine!
I use it several times a day (I’ve had it 2 months), and it works great! As several reviews said, it does use a lot of water because it cleans itself every time you turn it on and off (it shuts off automatically after 60 minutes of not being used). But I’m ok with it always being cleaned – sure beats the alternative! And I love how you can customize the default settings for each drink, and have 10 different user profiles, each with their own customization.

Fabulous product
We had recently gone to Israel and were spoiled by coffee we drank. We knew what we were currently using no longer made any sense, so we looked for a machine that was comparable to what we had there. THIS MACHINE IS IT!! We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it.

I love this machine for the most part.Pros: user friendly, cleans itself, holds a good amount of water, easy to put together, good amount of coffee options.Cons: water tray fills up quickly with the automatic self cleaning on start and off, no sensor for drip tray being full, don’t know how much milk to put in a cup to avoid wasting it.

No fuss coffee and coffee drinks
The machine is easy to operate, easy to maintain. The water tank runs out faster than I like, but I think I am having 2x the coffee I used to. I use the milk frother occasionally so I keep it disconnected most days. However the cappuccino is amazing—because I can customize it to be a little stronger. All preset drinks can be customized. Amazing!Also, I use the Classic Danesi beans.

Updates after one year, my machine still goes strong! 1)Added 3-step chamber hardware cleaning photos step1-remove 3 components and rinse off all powders and THOROUGHLY air dry step 2- vacuum the hardware chamber step 3- put back 3 components and must learn and try for perfect fitting! Remember always have an immediate manual brewer cleaning after each BATCH of brew. 2) upload a delightful latte making video. Latte making for this machine is like an art making!Review after purchase:What a wonderful way to start the day! I like it feasibly using directly milk carton which I can put it back to fridge right after the coffee is made without worrying the leftover. I put it closer to tap water to rinse the exterior part of the milk tube which can be put into water bottle for immediate cleaning. Although it will ask you to thoroughly clean the whole system when it turns off either by itself or manually, I would like to clean the milk system immediately so that no leftover go bad. I wish the water reservoir on the rear side has a transparent side view so that I can monitor the water level easily. I have tried multiple versions of milk system based coffee machine and this works best for me. Diligent washing definitely required since it is so easily cleaned, I don’t mind cleaning it throughout the day.Updates on February 17th, 2024:1) Consistently producing nice milk froth satisfying the daily needs of latte for two or three cups. For a 1K purchase, It has fulfilled its value after two months usage comparing to pay at Starbucks and it is obviously totally worthy it.2) The more I used it, the more I understood the machine.A) it would be nicer if the machine reminds me to have milk cartoon ready before the milk-froth program starts.B) Becaude it is lacking such an important reminder, I ended up to promptly stopping the program just after it is starts. This led to prematurely dumping the coffee cake, and the mechanics did mess up and the dry coffee powder spreading inside the mechanical parts, eventually resulting in the movement got stuck or not in the precise space or alignment. The symptoms won’t show immediately until one day the brew color is lighter and lighter to a clear water flow. No Worry it turned out that after I thoroughly vaccumed and washed and dried the plastic mechanical brewer. It went back to normal.B) One time we put several drops of water accidentally in through coffee bean chamber. This led to coffee powder moistured and got stuck before it free-flows into the brewer chamber. The symptom was the same no coffee brew only clear water stream. Since it is restricted for access, I took the coffee bean chamber apart and had it thoroughly vacuumed inside and out. It then went back to normalC) It is good practice to descale, but it only does to the internal tube for traffic. But it definitely useful to make sure the brewer’s tiny holes cleaned.D) In conclusion, To better maintain the machine is to make sure the mechanical parts working. It requires the coffee powder precise collection, then moving and alignment to the brewer pressing arm. Definitely needs take it out to clean and vacuum the coffee powder routinely so that it is not stuck in between the mechanical moving joints.3) All in All, I love the machine and should enjoy it further years with more and more understanding it!

Fantastic Espresso Machine
This is the third espresso machine I’ve tried. I absolutely love it!! So easy to use and clean. I’m hooked on my daily lattes. The fact that I can adjust the amount of coffee and milk that goes into my drink is so great. I’d recommend this machine in a heartbeat.

High-quality automatic espresso machine and grinder. The espresso machine is durable and sturdy. It’s a really nice, heavy-duty machine. It has a modern design and style, that will, look great in any kitchen. It’s easy to use and works perfectly for making delicious lattes and cappuccinos. I like that it has a touchscreen; it makes it even more user-friendly. Definitely a cool coffee machine for coffee lovers.

After much research, I decided to take the risk and go with Zulay Magia, a brand I am not familiar with. I am so happy I did! The screen is readable, and the coffee maker is easy to use. The coffee is like a barista living in my kitchen. I recommend it, especially at this price point.

Great machine
I do like this machine, for the most part. There are things I don’t like about it. I don’t like that I have to put a cup under the dispenser every time I start it just to catch the water. I could let the water go in the drain tray but it gets the machine all dirty with water spots all over if I don’t put a cup there to catch the water. I don’t like that I can’t just put my cup in there and make my coffee, I have to wait for the machine to clean every time I start it. I also don’t like having to put milk in a cup every time I want to make a latte or cappuccino. With that being said there are so many more things I do like about the machine. I really like being able to have a different coffee each day. I like being able to make Affogato wherever I like. I like that the machine cleans itself. I like that I can make a single or double. Despite those few annoyances mentioned I am still very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

I absolutely LOVE my coffee machine! I makes any kind of coffee you could EVER WANT. Super easy to use. My only slight complaint is that i have to pull out the machine to get to the water tank. It empties quickly, because of the flushing cycles. This is a minor inconvenience!

I love it
This coffee maker is amazing, I was wondering to buy it for more than 4 months. When I got it, I can not definitely describe how good is,it make the best cooffe ever, I don’t drink coffee outside because I so picky about the flavor, I use Lavazza Espresso and La llave, I drink coffe 3 times a day, 3 Espresso in the morning with cream and two more single Espresso during the day. Every single person that comes to visit likes to get a coffee. I use it a lot. It is really simple to use.I bought it in December 2022, and it is still like new.

To start out, I was exited to receive it. Item was packaged well.It was easy to unpack and a few steps was to setup the machine.This coffee machine is absolutely unique, there isn’t anything else out there. I did my research.When you turn it on, put water in, it does a self cleaning. Then you have the selections for many different type of coffees. Latte, cappuccino, regular, espresso, and on. You can have different users and have different types of coffee on each user. Each coffee is adjustable in the setting, such as temperature of the water, milk, how much coffee do you want in volume, how strong you want to coffee to be and so on. It’s fantastic.It grinds up the coffee beans, sucks up the milk from a cup you place next to it to make the latte, it steams the coffee. It makes the layers like the real cappuccino as it shows in the pictures.Fully automated. It will tell you when you have to empty the ground coffee trash bin.When you turn it off, it does an automatic cleaning. You’ll put some clean water in a cup for the milk straw, which it will be sucked up and cleaned inside out. You won’t ever have to clean the inside. It does it automatically.Not to mention, this machine looks high tech, elegant and it will definitely bring the attention to your guests and everyone in the house.This coffee maker is smart and had a lot of attention to every detail put in.I hardly ever leave a review, but this, I highly recommend this product even it is high priced.

Great Machine!
So easy to set up and use. I bought this for a gist for my very picky husband and he loves it! Its so easy to use. Even my teenage kids can use it with no help from mom. just press the button for whichever coffee you want. It even cleans itself. Great coffee drinks, no hassle. Why pay for fancy coffee when you can easily make it yourself with a push of a button. We love it.

It is my first full automatic coffee machine. I was a bit concerned since it is not a common brand for a fully automatic coffee machine.We have it now for a few month and it works perfect. Coffee is great, set up is easy, all options are amazing, still trying new creations and different beans and milk types buy so far everything works very well 🙂

Wow!
This coffee maker exceeded all my expectations. I was a little nervous about getting it since many complained about the intermittent cleaning cycles. Honestly, it is not an issue. It cleans when you or the timer switches off which you can customize, when it switches on and soon after you’ve made a drink. I just slot in a mug and another one with clean water for the milk system after I’ve made my coffee.I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the fact that I can customize and save my preferences under my own profile. I am a very picky coffee drinker, so this is fabulous. Usually, you have preset sizes on other machines but this one lets you choose.The descaling process is so simple with the machine guiding you.I have done away with my Keurig Cafe, Nespresso, Mixpresso and Chefman which I used depending on what I wanted. I no longer need them.I recommend this machine to anyone who takes their coffee as seriously as I do.

Works perfectly for us. I am writing this review because there are so many negative reviews that are not deserved. When I was researching this item, I looked at the negative reviews and then looked at that persons other reviews. When someone has 40 negative and 2 positive reviews, I believe they are the problem!

Not to buy it
I would not recommend not even 2 years old and have problems this is how they respond to me when I need it repaired ☹️Thanks for getting back to us with the order details. I’ve consulted our product specialist and he has a good idea of how to fix it. Unfortunately, that means your machine needs to be returned to us and we’ll have it fixed ASAP! To proceed with the repair, you only need to cover the $200 service fee and ship the machine to us.

I have been using this for over a month.First of all I don’t usually leave reviews but it took so long to search and find the right expresso machine.I read two many reviews from slow shipping and all the non sense reviews.That being said please keep in mind that the factory settings are weak so you need to find the settings that will work for you. It took us a few tries before we got it just right.The other observation I have is that the machine works better with 2% and whole milk.The machine has hard time with specialty creamers but it will work ok.you also need to set the grinder from fine to coarse. I have mine set at fine for maximum flavor.Overall I like it.Always keep a cup in the tray and a cup with water on the milk hose before you turn it on and after you finish to avoid cleaning and emptying the tray
