Works the way it’s supposed to.
This was the third model I tried after my old coffee maker broke after 15 years. A thermos model didn’t produce coffee that was hot enough. Another had a prank spout that poured everywhere. This works fine.

Great coffee maker. Brews well. Plate could be a little hotter but overall I really like it.For those of you watching your cholesterol…this coffee maker comes with a cone shaped mesh basket which means, if you grind your own beans or use an espresso blend like I do then you’re getting more of the oils in your coffee/body than might be healthy. Cone shape anything is supposed to brew a more flavorful pot/cup of coffee. My previous coffee maker had a basket shaped filter housing and this Capresso DEF brews a better cup/pot of coffee.I purchased unbleached cone filters to use in place of the mesh basket BUT the paper cone filters are thicker than the paper basket filters which requires me to use more coffee and then the taste of my coffee is different.IF I just use the mesh cone filter that came with this coffee maker the coffee is soooo much better but then I run the risk of all the oils – using the paper filters means I am filtering out most of those oils WHICH you can validate by the carafe.Without the paper filters, just using the mesh filter, the glass carafe has this oily feel and look after each pot = consume more of the oils and wash after every use BUT when I use the paper filters there is little to no oily residue left behind on the glass carafe from my coffee = giving it a quick swish under hot water and it’s good for a day or two.Just a little PSA because I care :)I’ve had this coffee maker for a few months now and while my choice to swap use of filters vs basket every couple of days is a little more hi-maintenance for me, overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this coffee maker recently and I am BEYOND pleased!!!!! Coffee is my favorite thing and this coffee maker makes absolutely DELICIOUS coffee!!!!!! I generally use Starbucks coffees and the flavor using this is impeccable! I also love the large size because it’s enough for me and also a friend! This carafe is also easy to clean! Size of replacement carafe for a 416.05.
This is a nice looking coffee maker. It is compact in size. The coffee is ok…The 60 Oz 12 cup carafe (12, 5 Oz cups) worries me a bit. Curiosity lead me to do some searching for a replacement. I have not found 1 that is this short like the one that came with this init…it is only about 5 5/8″ tall. The only 12 cup, 60oz carafe I can find is 7.75″ tall (possible error in measuring or a typo?)

Great, inexpensive coffee maker!
This coffee maker an outstanding bargain. I was just looking for a programmable maker so that I can set it to come on automatically in the morning before I get up. Although it takes awhile to make a full pot, that is actually moot in my case because I program it so that it is fully made by the time my alarm goes off. However, if you need to grab a cup before it’s finished, it does have the pause & serve feature.It is very simple to operate–even offers the added feature of selecting for more robust flavor by pushing the “Strength” button. Finally, I really like that it is not a huge appliance in that it doesn’t take up as much space as some other coffee machines on the market–I’m a little OCD when it comes to clutter, and I like that this unit doesn’t use a ton of counter space.I guess I could have subtracted 1 star because of the length of brewing time, but as I’ve already stated, I consider it a non-issue, and I highly recommend the Capresso 12-Cup Coffee Maker–you get a lot of bang for the small amount of bucks you pay for it!

Great little coffeemaker!
Love it! Not too large for a small counter takes up very little space but highly efficient! Brews really fast and hot, easy to basic auto program and clean. I do not use the gold filter it comes with because they do not trap all oil and sediment as well as paper cone filters which are the best for overall ground saturation making a good rich cup. Also, cone filters are the best for making tea in it as well. I recommend Melitta brand as they are the original and the best! All in all, this little coffeemaker does everything it says it will. Not too many bells and whistles but just enough at a great price.

Happy to say Capresso customer service does call you back and helps. My first missing part was lost in mail so they sent replacement which arrived a few days later. The Capresso makes such a delicious cup of full bodied coffee. The capsule coffeemaker we used while waiting for part just cannot compare. So happy to have my Capresso coffeemaker up and running once again. Will not put plastic filter (mesh insert is okay in dishwasher) again in dishwasher but will hand wash.

Great Brand
Love this brand. We have had a larger, more expensive Capresso coffee maker for many, many years. It finally gave out, and I would have replaced it with the same model. That model was discontinued, so I went with this newer and less expensive Capresso model. We are entirely satisfied with it. BTW, we also have the Capresso bean grinder. Nothing like a good cup (or many cups) of coffee, I always say!

Makes a GREAT pot of coffee!
I didn’t realize how badly I needed a new coffee pot until I’d broken the carafe on my old one and bought this! Same coffee. Same water. DELICIOUSLY better cup. I like the gold mesh coffee filter, for the planet & my pocketbook. BUT it is tricky to empty/clean (4 ⭐️) because of the wet grounds. I haven’t tried a paper filter. My cup usually has a dark layer at the bottom (i use cream) but it’s eminently drinkable – not grounds! Love the “strength” button. I’ve used it both with and without, and both were good, but, especially since I like a little half & half, the strength button is my go-to, and it definitely makes a difference. Nice, compact, great coffee every time, 4 or 10 cups. Excellent buy!

I bought this to repair a Mr. Coffee maker that I had for about 8 years. This is a great little coffee maker. It’s really easy to use, has a 12 cup carafe and is easy to clean. It takes a few minutes to brew but the coffee is noticeably better than with my old coffee maker. I definitely recommend this one.
