Beautiful building. The food is great! Though I only had coffee today. But the coffee service took a painfully long time getting a regular latte out. Anyway. Love the roof here.

My honey bear latte was incredible and the croissant with goat cheese I chose was the best I've ever had. What a cool coffee shop this is, there are 3 floors with one being a rooftop deck! What a fun place to go!

It was packed but worth the wait. We tried a variety of things. Delicious vegan oatmeal. Housemade sausage and herbed cream cheese on a chewy bagel. Would go back. The chocolate rye cookie was one of the best cookies I've ever eaten, and the kouign amman with strawberry jam...incredible.

This place is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The drinks are reasonably priced. The food items are delicious. Top notch place to stop for a vibrant and bustling cafe experience. Greg the Barista in particular brightened my morning with his smiles and excellent service.

Touristy hip coffee place where you wait in a huge line. Drinks were good enough but baked goods (the real reason I went there) were disappointing.I didn't feel like carrying a loaf of bread around, so I can't comment on the taste, but the bread looked better than the pastries. Like a bread baker decided to expand into pastry without knowing why a pastry is good. Croissants and pain au chocolat looked ridiculous.Did get a kouign-amann and it tasted ok but was not the best and confirmed that I made the right choice not to get any others.Did get a bagel, and enjoyed that. Didn't enjoy having to struggle to cut it in half with a plastic fork.Yogurt bowl was the best thing we got there.

Fantastic bakery and coffee shop. I had heard great things about Ibis for years, but this was my first time trying them out - not disappointed! As a fellow bread baker, I love their open kitchen concept where you can watch them baking while waiting on your coffee.Breads run from around $11 a loaf for country bread and up from there.

Always local coffee for me when traveling and Messenger was listed as the best! I ordered a Latte with Brown Bear Syrup 🐻 which was frothy and full of brown surgar flavor 😋 My Avocado Tartine was a great compliment to the heat and sweet!

Was first introduced to Blip from homesteader cafe. I prefer their whole beans to other popular roasters since the taste is less acidic and you can enjoy the notes. Their seasonal, nonalcoholic old fashioned bourbon latte is as delicious as it is well crafted.

Cool vibes, lots of space, and the coffee is so good! I think a lot of coffee shops are missing something important, and that is having room for people to come in and not feel like they’re sitting on top of other people and listening to their conversations. We felt like we could breathe in here! I personally loved all the plants and little home-y touches like couches and that dogs were in there. Definitely coming back, highly suggest this place!

Cafe Corazón is a gem! They have all your coffeehouse favorites with a Latine twist. The spicy Mayan mocha is my go-to, but everything I've tried has been amazing! You can also buy tasty treats and a variety of cool merch items and items from local businesses. There are times when the indoor seating is busy (KUMC is close, and this is a cozy spot to meet and study), but there's nice outdoor seating in back.

Really good tamales (loved the pork w salsa verde) & vegetarian empanadas (enriched dough-style). Decent coffee, also has yerba mate like it should be served, and some local kombucha (in cans), yay !Great atmosphere — chill & welcoming, colourful and with heartfelt décor. Music volume was a bit loud at times, making conversation a very intimate (in proximity) affair. Indoor & outdoor seating.

Walking up to Thou Mayest you already know it’s going to be a vibe. The atmosphere is great. The perfect place to catch a coffee alone, with friends or for business. Then there’s the coffee itself. I went kinda basic, but even on basic drinks you can taste the difference. My latte was made perfectly! I also splurged on one of their cinnamon apple pop tarts which was super good. Trying that cinnamon roll next!Ps. They have a unique cereal bar which is kinda fun so if you’re a cereal lover this is your spot!
The atmosphere is a perfect blend of curated kitsch with a fishing vibe. I met a designer friend here for coffee ☕️ & scones, and we agreed that Thou Mayest nailed their River Quay aesthetic. The seating vignettes are comfy & semi-private. Some spaces are designated with river rock, others by an indoor wooden "shelter." This is a terrific place to work, gossip & and get your caffeine on.I'm looking forward to coming in the evening when I'm back up the hill in River Market. What? Coffee at night? Plu--ease. They have a fully stocked 🍸 bar, too.

Everyone was kind and it’s a great spot if you’re looking for somewhere to chat with a friend.A local recommended the bourbon vanilla latte and it was delicious! If I only I lived closer this would be my new go-to coffee! Their americano was also a well made classic. They also have practical ways to be more sustainable. The to go cups are all reusable jars. My daughter and I enjoy exploring new coffee shops and this little hipster place was a first time visit for us while her and my son in law were in town . Service was great . I asked for a recommendation, and was suggested a Sage Carmel latte. I devoured it far too fast and have been craving another since our trip. The environment is a neat artful place with lots of seating. We really enjoyed our trip and we will definitely be back. I can not believe it has taken me so long to discover this KC gem

Great coffee shop. Travellers be aware: to-go adds an extra $1.50 to drinks because they don't use plastic and paper cups like most places. Instead you get a jar, which is fine, and repeat visitors can reuse.

This little place is really nice, with a great atmosphere. They have delicious pastries and coffee. I'm not sure what other drinks they have, I was a bit focused on the coffee that day.I've been there twice now, and both times were great. I sat there with my friend, undisturbed, and we enjoyed our drinks and chatted away. The staff was kind, which I always appreciate. They have a decent-sized seating area, and even a few chairs outside, which is where I usually prefer to sit.Good coffee is hard to find, don't sleep on this place!

It's 7 am and hot Blueberry Lemon Scone with a glaze just came out of the oven and is resting on the counter next to the register. You pretty much have to try one.The scone is delicious. I tend to ignore scones because I feel like they are a bit dry. This was still warm so it was moist in the center with a nice crunch on the edges. The blueberry and lemon flavors are equal and compliment each other perfect!Pour over Mexico Cerro Azul. This one was recommended as being a bit funky. It's awesome. I feel like there is flavors of cherry and bourbon. It is smooth and lightly roasted. I highly recommend!Decaf- this is what I drink daily and it was only available as an Americano. This is a light roast coffee with smooth flavor and great taste. The staff is friendly and spent time talking with a local person who seemed to be down on their luck. Also plenty of room for working or gathering with friends. Overall great experience.

We really like this place. They have a seasonal drink “511” that’s our favorite. But overall the coffees and pastries are really good! The sister coffee shop on Holmes always seems to be closed so we make the drive to the 83rd st. shop.

I rarely leave reviews, but I had an AWESOME experience at Second Best!! I have cut out sugar and eating healthier. Nathan, the owner shops out the BEST ingredients for his coffee drinks AND food. The vegan chorizo burrito was fabulous!! They invest more in ingredients that are higher quality and support local!! We will be back!!

My husband and I had quite the enjoyable experience visiting this coffee shop today. Whenever we travel, we like to seek the local flare as much as possible. On recommendation from someone at a another stop, we thought this would be the best place to grab our cup of Joe. We definitely weren't disappointed. The staff was incredibly friendly and took their time answering all of our questions. The coffee was out of this world delicious and the food was delectable. The only negative I have about this entire experience is that you're in Missouri and we live in Illinois. Good thing I like to travel!

One of my favorite coffee places in the metro. I especially love their seasonal winter latte it is the perfect blend of warm spices and a hint of sweetness. The chorizo breakfast burrito is also delicious. Partner got a pour over which was also delightful.
