But nonetheless they are really the same size etc.Things great. I drink americanos and red eyes using the custom button. Tons of creama with every cup that you just done get with most other coffee machines. The convenient is grind to brew and the power of this espresso maker for americanos etc. is ammmazing.Contrary to other reviews I was able to pull out the water tank while under my cabinets. The lid has a pivoting arm so u can slide it up and then over and pull it out without moving. Soooo. Be careful as some reviewers are not using it right. Otherwise the brewer is great. Matches my appliances and toaster. I do love the steam function so def recommend getting that model since you’re already spending so much. Wasn’t available on Amazon but easy to find online or from cafe directly.Update: July 2022. Still love it. Had to come back to video all the cream I enjoy with every cup of of coffee. Creama every time. Someone on a work zoom asked if I was drinking beer cause it has so much “head”. Lol. So great.Also FYI this is the Smeg machine just a different look to match cafe appliances. I was looking for an option to move away from Nespresso. The Nespresso pods get expensive albeit convenient. This uses coffee beans and takes the hassle of grinding and tamping out of making a nice espresso shot. The price on this is much cheaper than other similar models and seems to have more to offer compared to similar items. The quality is 1000 times better than Nespresso and especially k cup. The machine will pay for itself in what you save on buying expensive pods.

Over all a Good Machine
So it took me a while to get this up and running. I had a hard time connecting it to my WIFI but I have had that issue with several things so I can not say it is the machines fault. Once I read through the directions a few times I was ready to try it out and I can say I am impressed with the simplicity of it. Beans To Coffee in the blink of an eye. Yes it took me a bit to figure it all out but after the initial learning curve it is now simple. Every thing works smoothly and I have had no mechanical issues at all. 5 STARS

Terrible app and customer support by same people eating up GE like they did with Boeing (mishap lives lost) 787 flight software. Great Results & Surprisingly Durable
Bought this machine six months ago for my restaurant. We sell a decent amount of espresso but we don’t do cappuccinos or anything like that, so I didn’t go with the frothing model. The machine is very easy to use, my staff got the hang of it almost immediately.This is my first experience using a bean-to-cup machine and I am really pleased with it, especially compared with the pre-ground capsule system we used prior. It bangs out a shot super fast, piping hot and with a nice head of crema every time.The taste is great and the machine is still in very good shape. I was concerned that I might have overestimated it’s ability to hold up to everyday commercial use (granted, we’re not a coffee shop or anything, but it does get used up to 20 times day) but so far it hasn’t given me a single issue, just tons of great coffee. I am considering buying one to use at home for myself as well.I definitely recommend this machine. It looks super sleek, it’s nice and quiet, and it works like a charm for surprisingly short money.

Small but wohoo
We drink about ten cups of coffee in our household on average per day. This machine is fully customizable over the app and delivers different strength combinations for each of us. (we have overwritten the buttons with coffee selections for ourselves). I order Lavazza Crema E Aroma Whole Bean Coffee to go with this machine. Lavazza is forgiving with its medium flavor when the water/brew setting is not perfect and works best with 20 bar pump pressure.

Wow, this is such a beautiful and functional upgrade from my De’Longhi ECAM35075SI Dinamica with LatteCrema Fully Automatic Espresso Machine. I also need to add that this Café Affetto Automatic Espresso Machine is just over $534 cheaper than the De’Longhi! I really just make expresso and don’t need any additional functions or mechanics such as a frother.Fully Automatic – so this will grind your beans, process them and drop the puck into the bin. And provide you high quality full flavor expresso in just a few minutes.Hot Water – This provides hot water (you cannot adjust the temp or change it) and I love this function so that I can make my kids Hot apple cider in just a few minutes!This machine is so easy enough to fill with water and fresh beans, mind you when you add your beans make sure you adjust the grinder to your preferred grind size!This is one sleek and modern looking expresso machine – as you can see from the pictures which are stunning! And the expresso it pulls is smooth and full of all the flavor you are expecting from your beans!Color – while I did get the silver one, it has a slight rose gold tint to it, I expect that is from the accents which is most likely from the accents which are rose gold – it still looks great! Great espresso maker
If you enjoy coffee or espresso, these espresso makers are awesome. The espresso maker is small enough to comfortably fit on your counter, and looks really nice with the silver and copper design. This espresso maker does a really good job at grinding, brewing and it is super easy to clean. The espresso maker is also as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. You can chose the built in options for some basic espresso beverages, or you can use your phone to create your own custom profiles. Overall, this is a great espresso maker and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

Fantastic coffee
My husband and I drink a lot of coffee and are always looking for the best way to make it. We’ve switched between french press, pour over, other espresso machines, We used a Nespresso machine for about two years until we got totally tired of all the coffee offered. We switched back to regular coffee and started using a Technivorm Moccamaster, which we love. But sometimes we want espresso. ‘This machine is easy to use and almost as good as if a talented barista brewed it in your kitchen. It’s not quite as rich as what we could achieve using a more traditional espresso maker, but it’s so much faster and much more convenient. I was disappointed this model doesn’t have a steam tube, but I’m happy with it now, since I like using cream or frothing milk in the frother. Sometimes I’m all about convenience and clean up.So, for espresso convenience and flavor, this one can’t really be beat. It’s so easy and fast to use and it looks great on my counter. We still use our Technivorm Moccamaster daily, and don’t use this daily, but this is a nice treat to get some fantastic espresso,

Simple, compact, and makes great coffee and esspresso
I’ve had this 3 weeks and just love it. I’ve had more expensive fully automatic esspresso makers that I loved, but what I like better about this is the size and the simplicity. It’s compact, but looks elegant compared to any of the others. It has lots of smart features. The water container isn’t large, but it very conveniently opens and inserts from above. I just refill whenever I make coffee like we used to when we would make perculated or drip coffees. The pellets are easy to empty and the bean grinder seals tight keeping the beans fresher. There may be bells and whistles missing, but none that I use.The app was difficult to set up for me, but since it’s been set up it works really well with reminders to fill or empty grounds etc. It would be nice to have more settings in the app, like the ability to make a personal favorite like 2 lungos and 1 esspresso, but it does let you adjust grind time and temp for the set options. I like the app once set up and I love the machine and the esspresso it produces.I definitely recommend.

We love its design but more importantly the amazing espresso it makes. It’s very easy to use, me and my girlfriend were intimidated at first, but quickly got over our fear. All you do is fill it up with water, pour your favorite coffee beans in the bean compartment and then with the press of a button, you have a shot of espresso. The convenience of a fully automatic machine is really nice to have at home. The water tank is kinda small but very easy to refill. I also like the WI-Fi feature. I use the WiFi app. to adjust volumes of brew and hot water for tea as there are no adjustments on the machine. Notifications through the app inform the need to add water, empty the grounds container and the flushing water container. Highly recommended.

This is not going to replace your hand tamped espresso shots, but it sure will save you time and effort! This machine is so simple to use that it is almost unreal. You just select your coffee style, and then the machine does the grinding, tamping, extracting, and dumping, ALL ON ITS OWN. All you have to do is empty the waste bin and clean the equipment on occasion. It is truly a machine of its own when it comes to convenience!!

We just bought it ands so far we love it
We were using Nespresso but decided that since we don’t exactly know what’s mixed in those pods, we decided to get a machine that used actual coffee beans and this one is an easy one to use and it’s easy to clean but you should clean it really after use or at least after a few uses so the coffee doesn’t stay in there and mold. It’s also slick and pretty on the kitchen counter.

INCREDIBLE MACHINE!!
This is an incredible coffee machine. Yes, the wifi control is terrible, but the machine, itself, is great! (And almost all functions can be adjusted manually.) I have owned three Jura machines. I liked them, but there were often problems with volumn and temperature. I would usually get 3-4 years before sending them for repair and would get 5+ years before replacing.This machine makes the best coffee that I have ever made. I used one reviewer’s advice of adjusting the grind to a finer level; I have always used Lavazza Super Crema; and I adjust the temperature and volume ( for Americano) to the highest level. ( Most of this can be done without the ridiculous wifi app.)The results are terrific. I have quit using cream, and do add a little honey. Am drinking more coffee, and look forward to every cup. My wife loves hot tea, and the water function pushes out clean, and hot water easily. Water function can also warm coffee mug, if you desire even hotter coffee.I don’t know how long this coffee machine will work, but I can buy 5-6 of them rather than 1 top-of-the-line machine, and I get a significantly better cup of coffee from this machine.

Great value and durable
Bought this unit prior to the end of 2022 as the capsule unit I had got too costly. Was worried about the overall durability and espresso that would be produced, and the machine outperformed my hopes. Easy to clean, saves a ton of money using whole beans, and most importantly produces nice and consistent shots of espresso. My only critical comment is the buttons are sensitive on the top, so while you are making your drink don’t try to multi task around the top of the unit.

Have 4 espresso machines currently, ranging from portafilter to super automatic. The price is actually about the same as a espresso machine with portafilter plus conical grinder. The taste is the best among the four I have. Very simple to use, clean, and adjust with SmartHQ (smart appliance). This machine makes sense now because of the widely available and very low cost milk frother (much more energy efficient, exactly 135F, much more foam).

I’m happy with it
I bought it a week ago. It makes good espresso. It looks nice and makes a lot less noise than the Delonghi machine I had a few years ago (which broke down just after the warranty ran out). I did not need the more expensive model of this present machine with a milk frother attachment because I pour my espresso into a mug of warm milk heated in my microwave. So that saved me money. It does the job. It of course requires that I refill the water and refill with beans and empty the grounds, and when I do so I dry the trash container so I don’t get mold. It has a smaller water capacity than larger espresso machines, and lacks a few other minor conveniences but I’m paying hundreds of dollars less and I’m happy with it. So far so good.

So let me state right off the bat that this makes wonderful espresso, but no lattes and no cappuccinos. I’m not interested in frothing milk in my coffee, thus this machine’s lack of a frother is fine by me. But if you like cappuccinos or lattes, you will want the version of this machine that includes a frother. That version costs about $50 more and it doesn’t appear to be available on Amazon yet.This is a fine automatic espresso maker. It grinds automatically with a conical burr grinder and automatically compresses your grind so no tamping is necessary. You adjust the coarseness. The grinder determines the amount it grinds and the amount of water used in accord with the drink you specify. The machine automatically makes espresso, Americano and lungo in standard sizes. You can alter grind sizes and volumes via the app, and your choice of volume and drink can be saved via the app as your “My Cup” automatic choice. Without setting up your favorite recipe via the app, pressing the “My Cup” button produces a cup of ristretto.Blooming is brought about by the increasing application of pressure to the hot water. The initial application of water to the ground coffee is gentle, but ramps up to 20 bars after blooming at lower pressure.The machine is easily cleaned and comes with a magnetically attached drip tray. Take out the drip tray and behind it is a drawer for used grounds which must be cleaned after eight cups have been made. Finally, the brewing unit is easily removed for cleaning as well. The machine comes with several packs of decalcification chemicals and has an automatic descaling warning and process.This is a fine machine, really elegant in looks and it makes wonderful espresso. At the cost of coffee at Starbucks these days, this machine will pay for itself fairly quickly if you’re a frequent espresso patron there of coffee shops.

I have nothing but great things to say about it. its convenient , easy and the espresso is nice and strong.The only issue i have is that i drink way too much espresso. not sure how much i have save/spend compared to keurig K-Cups and Espresso beans. First, and most important, the espresso from this espresso maker is EXCELLENT!The Café Affetto is simple to use. Add water, add espresso beans, and you’re ready to go! The water reservoir has a filter, but we use water from a Brita filter, so it’s twice filtered, because NJ water. It has buttons for Espresso (1.5oz), Americano (1.5 oz espresso plus 3oz of hot water), Lungo (3.5oz espresso), My Cup (which you can only set in the SmartHQ app), and Hot Water.My Cup can be Ristretto (a short cup), a Double Espresso (it makes one 1.5oz espresso, then another), a Triple Espresso (three 1.5oz espressos), or a red Eye (which is a 3.5oz Lungo with a 1.5oz espresso on top). You can start any of these directly from the SmartHQ app. We currently have the My Cup set to a Double Espresso.We got a separate milk frother since this model doesn’t have one. The separate milk frother is easier to clean, and was cheap. It has settings for heated or cold, and how much it froths. We use creamer instead of milk and it froths nicely.My wife likes a strong drink, so it’s a double espresso for her. I prefer a milder drink, so for me, it’s the Americano. We both like the Major Dickason’s Blend – Dark Roast beans. The coffee from this machine is delicious.

So this unit fell on sale for 280 snagged it up right away. Came in a day tossed out my Nespresso machine I no longer answer to the POD overlord . Ordered some lavazza grand crema espresso whole beans came same time with the machine what a world we live in today.Anyways the machine is nice it’s astheticly pleasing feels well built and solid and does what it says it does makes espresso / other styles with just a push and nothing else from you no prep no grinding no weighing no cleaning nada.The app- had issues connecting to WiFi but did so manually with the manual option in app it guides you so it’s easy but I can see some elderly folks struggle with it. you don’t have to connect the app or WiFi for this unit to work but I HIGHLY recommend you do. why ?The taste of the espresso out of the box is well meh nothing to write home about it’s watered down and if your an espresso drinker you wanna taste those beans . That’s where the app comes in. You can in the app easily adjust grind time (more grind time more concentrated flavour) increase temp (better extraction and crema) and dialing these settings in is crucial. You can go from a MEH cup of espresso to one that has you just smiling and sipping away on bliss. Full flavor great crema just overall awesome machine.

Similar to Jura ENA Micro 1, does not include a milk frother
My first super-automatic espresso machine was a Jura ENA Micro 1, which I purchased several years ago. It made great espresso, but was not very configurable. Unfortunately it finally died on me and I stopped using it, because it was too expensive to fix. This Cafe Affetto Automatic Espresso Machine looks very similar in design to my old Jura, but it is better in a few important ways. First of all, the machine includes WiFi and can be configured with the SmartHQ app, so this makes it very easy to dial in the perfect combination of settings for your ideal espresso, Americano, or lungo. After playing with various settings in the app, I have been able to produce espresso that is superior in taste to what my Jura was able to make (And I was very happy with the Jura until it stopped working). Also, the brewing mechanism is removable for easy cleaning. This is a big deal since I am sure this it the part that failed in my Jura, and unfortunately it could not be removed without taking apart the machine completely. The one negative I have noticed compared to my Jura is the lack of a way to add ground coffee without removing the beans that are currently in the hopper. I would use this feature in my Jura to have a cup of decaf coffee occasionally. But with the Cafe Affetto, you will need to completely finish the regular beans and then add decaf beans. For that reason it’s best to have another way to make decaf coffee if this is something you need once in a while. But overall this is a great machine at a fair price considering the features. Just remember to purchase a separate milk frother if you plan to make cappuccinos or lattes.

This machine exceeded my expectations! It is very sleek in its design and it makes a great coffee / espresso. Very easy to set up and operate. Definitely worth every penny!

This coffee machine is a one-button brewing, you can make espresso, American coffee, Lungo, My Cup or hot water at the touch of a button.Built-in cone burr grinder and adjustable grinding size-the stainless steel cone burr grinder can provide consistent grinding for any roasted beans. There is also a very special technology that can be connected to WIFI beverage customization technology to customize beverages according to their favorite capacity and strength！It allows some customisability with adjustment for strength, volume and froth. It delivers good hot coffee with a decent cream. Another plus of this machine is the ability to also use pre-ground coffee which is handy when somebody would rather decaf. One thing I have noticed is that when the machine is grinding the beans it is louder than machines Ive used previously. This doesn’t bother me too much as it only lasts a few seconds.To conclude, I’ve really enjoyed having this machine so far. It most closely met the criteria I had in mind – convenience and simplicity for making good coffee drinks at a reasonable price.

I love this machine -granted I’ve only had it one day up -and -running, but what a joy it is to have! So easy to set up and use— and the coffee is pretty darn good, too!

No matter if you are WFM or a hipster software developer, coffee binds all people together. My wife and I drink on average 3-4 americanos each, and we got tired of constantly grinding coffee and having coffee spills all over our kitchen.This machine is an intimate solution for the laziness in making or cleaning the machine. I adore the feature of WIFI brewing. Being on the Zoom call I can make myself a cup of coffee without leaving the meeting for a noticeable time. As long as you place the coffee mug it would do it for ya.The machine is slim and defiantly takes less space than semi-automatics. Blending power if good and the amount of espresso cream we are getting is a bit less but not too bad compared to the self-taping.portafilter.Simple to use, we had it for a bit over 3 months and we love it. This is a true love for people Espresso or Americano drinkers.Adjustability is key since you have 5 levels of grinding.
