Learning curve, but WORTH IT
I bought this to help me quit energy drinks. It did the job.There is a bit of a learning curve to getting good espresso with this. First and most important, buy fresh, quality beans at a local roaster. this alone will improve the taste and pulls 10 times over.Second, adjust grind size and dose until you get a good pressure. 1-2 oclock on the pressure gauge is best for me.

Love this appliance! Got a second one for the motorhome as it’s heavy to constantly move from house to coach or back. But it’s a fabulous purchase and makes perfect mochas. I need to try for “just coffee” but I know I will need to grind beans finer for the portafilter.

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo has been so fun to use these past months. The integrated burr grinder is great- it’s really quiet, and once you dial in the grind settings and dose, it’s so easy going forward. The large water reservoir and easy to empty drip tray make it easy to make a lot of espresso drinks. My usual favorite is a latte, and I’ve got that perfected on here! The pressure gauge is nice to see that you’ve got the right grind and dose for optimal extraction, and it’s so quiet all around. The only somewhat loud part is the steam wand, which is always the case in my experience. This steam wand is super powerful and steams milk in just a few seconds! Overall, it’s easy to use once you know what you want- it’s so customizable if you want to play with all the settings, between dosing, extraction temperature and extraction time. This might not be great for a total beginner unless they have help getting it dialed in, but it’s wonderful in my situation. I’ll have to see how well the grinder holds up over time, as it seems it’s unable to be serviced or cleaned, which I’ve always had to do with standalone grinders on a regular basis.

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso machine was easy to set up, following the instruction’s step by step guide. I had it up and running in less than 30 minutes, even with washing all the accessories.This machine gives you the ability to choose how finely you want the beans to be ground and the dose level you would like to have in the ‘Portafilter’. I really like the ‘Dosing and Tamping Guide’, it eliminates loose ground going over the counter, which we had a lot of with our last machine.One of my favorite functions is that you can choose either cold brew, espresso, Americans or just hot water. The instruction booklet takes you through which temperature you should have for what type of bean and what you are brewing.The steam function works well and I have been making hot and cold lattes and also americanos.I find that this espresso machine grinds the beans more finely than our last and this gives the final coffee a richer flavor – I’m using the same beans from the same bag, so it’s down to the different espresso machines.It’s easy to clean and looks really good on my counter.I would highly recommend the De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso machine if you’re looking for a good quality and stylish espresso machine.

I love every aspect of this machine! It is super easy to use and comes with almost everything you need to get started, which makes it very beginner friendly. The built-in pressure gauge and the multiple grind size and dose level options make it very easy to dial in your shot to match your preferences. I adore this machine. I love lattes and husband loves espresso. I couldn’t love it more. I had a drop coffeemaker for 25 years but decided to splurge on this and boy am I glad I did. Works exactly as it should – I have had for a few months and I haven’t had any issues. I will say it’s a bit of a pain to keep clean – I have to rise out the drip tray after using it – but I love it so much I’m willing to overlook it. Love the built-in grinder. I’ve had so much fun leaning to make lattes (lots of videos on tiktok and YouTube). It isn’t inexpensive but anytime I think about heading to Starbucks I think – why? This makes great lattes that don’t cost $7 each.

Workhorse coffe machine, I have had good luck with Delonghi machines

We had an earlier machine from Delonghi, the Dedica model, for 8 years. I had been looking to upgrade. So with the money from selling the old machine I invested in this model. I went with Delonghi because my old machine served me so well.This machine gives me the right level of manual operation without me having to mess with the settings all the time. It takes up a lot of space on the counter but I save room not having the extra grinder nearby. I also like how the built in grinder is cleaner and gets less coffee grounds on the counter. Finally, I wish the portafilter “felt” more premium as it is the part that I use the most.Overall, this machine makes high quality coffee if paired with the right beans and a little coffee experience. I am hoping it will last me 8+ years like the last machine did!Finally, this machine,, combined with the right coffee beans will ruin going out for coffee as I find I am able to make better coffee than most shops serve.

Excellent machine, truly cafe quality espresso/cappuccino in your own home
I was skeptical at first since what makes espresso so good at cafe’s is often the quality of the ‘engine’ and the pressure they are able to create during brewing. But this little machine punchs way above it’s weight class. I am something of an espresso snob and I can’t taste a difference between this machine’s espresso and a nice cafe.There is a bit of a learning curve: Depending on the coffee brand you are using you are going to have to adjust the coarseness of the grind and you are also going to have to determine the proper amount of coffee per shot. (For me it’s usually 4-5 for grind and between 25-30 portion for the double shot cup). But once you firgure out the proper ratio’s it will hit the “optimal zone” in the pressure gage every time.Perhaps the best part of this all-in-one setup is the steamer. I have worked in restaurants with nice steamers but I think this one may be the best I’ve ever worked with, believe it or not. There will also be a learning curve as you learn to steam coffee and how much milk froth/foam vs. steamed milk you want, but that can be learnt in a youtube video or two.Thank you for reading. I think this is a great little espresso machine and if you are someone like me who cannot stand drip coffee and needs espresso and milk espresso drinks, this will be your new favorite appliance. You will save time and a bunch of money by bringing the cafe to your living room!

I love the De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo; it has changed the way I make a lot of different coffee drinks. Thanks to the exact pressure control and built-in grinder, which always gives me fresh, evenly ground beans, the espresso is always rich and full-bodied. I love how I can change things, especially the size of the grind, which lets me make the espresso just the way I like it. The cold brew feature is also great; it perfectly changes the extraction time, making a smoother, less acidic coffee. With its special hot water spout, the machine also makes a great Americano. Adding water does not change the flavor of the espresso. The spout heats up quickly for tea and other drinks when we talk about hot water. The steam wand is one of the best parts. It is simple to use and makes milk foam that is silky smooth for lattes and cappuccinos. For cappuccinos, the foamer gives me the light and airy texture I want. For lattes, it gives me the creamy texture I want. This machine has been flexible enough to meet all of my coffee needs, and it’s definitely made my home coffee experience better.

Grab some whole organic coffee beans from Costco to grind a fresh, non-petroleum coffee! No need to add unhealthy stuff to your coffee to give it flavor; just enjoy the actual flavor of pure fresh-ground coffee. The tamping is so satisfying and easy. Don’t be scared to try it!!!

I love this machine! It is easy to figure out how to use and I love all of the features. The ability to make cold brew is great. I’ve made cold brew quite a lot and it’s nice to have flexibility on what types of coffee I can make. Making coffee in the morning is something I look forward to now. The grinder (built in) works great. It’s nice to adjust the grind amount per time so I can fill the machine with my preferred beans. The design is beautiful as makes my kitchen look like a coffee shop! One of my favorite recipes is an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. I really love creating new recipes every day and being creative with this machine.

I love my coffee, and I love that this machine gives me the opportunity to fine-tune my coffee and espresso drinks to suit my tastes and the specifics of my coffee blends. The step-by-step setup guide makes using this machine a breeze, even for beginners; after the first few cups on the recommended settings, it was fun to adjust and see how to achieve proper crema and flavor. I love that I’m able to make a coffee for my husband and a latte for myself, complete with frothed milk. It’s taken my at-home coffee to a whole new level, and I don’t actually feel the need to go to a coffee shop to get the best coffee anymore.

I’ve been using this for awhile now!! It has definitely spoiled me!!! We are coffee enthusiasts. This machine is a game changer! Nothing compares to a fresh ground cup of coffee! Yes they are pricey but DEFINITELY well worth it! I picked this up on sale! We usually buy coffee from Starbucks and coffee shops around town, not anymore! We haven’t since we bought this back in June.It does take a little getting used too! It comes with instructions and if you’re stuck then go on YouTube. De’Longhi has their own channel with how too video’s. Comes with 2 filters: 1 for 1 cup and 2 for 2 cups. Cleaning tools as well. Definitely would recommend getting the cleaning solution as well! Each bottle of the solution cleans the machine 5 times.The frother takes a little time to learn as well, to get the perfect foam. Also, would recommend watching a YouTube video on how to do so!

It has finally happened.. we’ve all heard the videos and podcasts where people say they no longer buy coffee when they can make their own and they have saved so much money.Well, yeah I agree with that but I’ve never been able to make coffee good enough to replace what I’d buy at my local coffee shop…… until now!This machine has made me the house barista, by a long shot. Not only does it look great, easy to put together, and has an instruction book with the different types of roast and how to set it up, but it makes delicious espresso bases for your coffee creations. This De’Longhi 9255 Espresso machine is a great machine for any coffee lovers who want an easy and simple way to get a quality coffee. The over all design is classic and good looking that can fit in any coffee corner in the home. The grinder is pretty easy to adjust and if you’re not switching beans constantly once you have set up the grinding lever you don’t need to change it. It tools me a little time to set to the correct grind size and get the pressure level to optimal, the espresso quality is great and the steam wand is good enough for frothing milk in the reasonable time, the steam is great but not that strong as dual boiler machines. Since it’s not like commercial or higher end espresso machine that have two boilers you can only doing espresso or milk frothing one at the time. Overall it’s a great product for any coffee enthusiasts who want to make a quality coffee at home!

This expresso machine has been a game changer for my mornings. I am not that much of a morning person and this has helped immensely! I enjoy the entire experience of making my coffee; the aroma and taste are nothing shy of amazing. I am not very tech savvy, but this machine was pretty self explanatory. This expresso machine offers everything I could ever want in a cup of coffee. I personally enjoy my coffee very hot and dark, which you can adjust. My favorite feature it the built-in coffee grinder. Sometimes my delicious coffee is the best reason for getting out of bed in the morning! I watched a couple of videos and was able to quickly put my first espresso maker to use. It’s beautiful on my counter, easy to operate, and my enjoyment of coffee is now off the charts. This is a special treat, and I’m glad I didn’t talk myself out of purchasing it.

Never have I treated myself like this before, but I am glad I did. Everything about this machine is great.Unless I skipped over this part, there is no timer on the grind amount coming out so you will have to guess when to stop it. My only “negative.” But unlike my other machine the espresso process automatically shuts off which is a very big “positive” for me. My other machine didn’t have this and you can imagine what happened after the first use.Visually pleasing. Accessories and tools feel very professional and have weight to it which I enjoy. Not plastic and light weight like others. A very aesthetic piece in my kitchen. I enjoy making espresso, and probably have 1 or 2 more espressos than I need because of this machine. Very decent all-in-one machine for the price
The La Specialista Arte Evo has been very easy to use–compared to a simpler machine I owned from the same manufacturer for a decade. This product steams milk very quickly; but also the cleanup of the steamer wand is much easier than other units that have a rubber frothing attachment on the end. The instructions are pretty clear and the functions work as expected. The built-in grinder delivers just the right amount of ground beans (once you learn the right setting by trial and error). There are no spilled coffee grounds which also simplifies cleanup. The products are delicious–although I’ve yet to try the cold brew function.

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is the best espresso machine I’ve ever used. I have used many espresso machines prior to the Arte Evo, but the build quality on this machine is top tier. Everything from the buttons, steam wand, portafilter are all well designed including great ergonomics on handles when using them with wet hands. My favorite feature about the machine is its ability to produce cold brew in less than a few minutes. The machine came with great instructions to set up and use so even if you’re not a barista, you can produce barista quality coffee. I recommend this machine for anyone who enjoys drinking coffee whether you’re a novice or professional.

Easy to use and enjoy
This is my 3rd De’Longhi espresso machine and I love it! I was debating between it and a Breville. Ultimately I chose this one because I’ve had such ease with my De’Longhi machines and this one offered coldbrew option. I do coldbrew in the fridge as well but this is mellower and ready in less than 10 minutes. I keep experimenting with coffee “cocktails” (no alcohol).

I’ve been using this machine for about a month now but I wanted to use all the features and give it some time before I wrote a review. I was a barista for several years and this is my fourth? at-home espresso machine in a few years, and I LOVE it. I genuinely didn’t know you could make espresso with bright crema on top at home until I got this machine. The texture of my lattes is smoother and creamier, the quality is better, and it’s so easy to use.I’ll start with the cons because I only have a few:•the steaming wand doesn’t move as much as others I’ve used and if I have a full pitcher of milk I either have to life the machine or spill the milk to remove it once it’s steamed. It also occasionally takes a bit of time to get going.. initially it seemed like it was getting slower over time but it seems more sporadic now.•the auto shutoff is way too quick, IMO.PROS:•The water tank and drip tray are both really large and do not have to be refilled or emptied often•very straightforward and easy to use once you figure out your initial preferences•there are several options for grind level, water heat, etc and once you figure out the best one for your coffee it makes really high quality espresso every time•the double shot is larger than most which I really like, but there’s also the single shot option• it’s SO easy and mess-free to grind and tamp the beans•milk frother can get milk really hot, and really smooth•I love the americano option, it makes things so easy• the cold brew is pretty good considering how quickly it can be made

I spent over a decade in restaurant management including bakery and coffee houses. This De’Longhi La Specialista is amazing and provides just as good of a pull of espresso as many industrial machines.I have officially retired my coffee pot thanks to the several settings. Sometimes we just want a nice hot mug of chai tea and other times we want a cold brew. Most of the time I want a shot of espresso (or 2) and this has made it so much easier and convenient.The built in grinder is probably one of my favorite pieces keeping my favorite beans fresh until I use them and trust me, they don’t last long in this house. This was a surprise Christmas gift my husband got me and it’s a gift that keeps on giving, I have so much good to say about everything from the hopper to the steam wand that I’m getting myself all sorts of confused. Loving it!
I personally enjoy having that manual experience of making a cappuccino or latte for my wife or guests. I really enjoy it’s size that fits right enough in the townhouse kitchen. I wonder if the pressure of the steam wand varies or not since sometimes it feels like it’s not a strong as the first few times it’s been used. I would recommend this item and hopefully it lasts many years.

It is a job in the morning.
I have enjoyed this expresso machine. Unfortunately, you have to physically empty the bean grinder if you wanted to try other choice of beans. The amount of coffee is not variable if you desired a stronger shot of brew in the morning. For over $500 I expected more functions. The frother is impossible to create a professional appearance as shown on line.All in all I still enjoy grinding the beans and make a fresh cup of brew in the morning. Make a changable grinder to have different beans each morning.

I love this machine
I have been eyeing this machine for quite some time now and finally made the plunge to get it. I’ve been really hooked on cold brew drinks this year and having this machine come equipped with cold brew technology sold me. First off the machine itself is gorgeous. It is Sleek and not overly massive , so your not losing a ton of counter space . I love that I has the capability of making all my favorite drinks from sinlge shot espresso to crafted cappuccino’s. My husband likes to use espresso beans, I myself don’t mind pre-grounded so it’s nice it’s equipped to handle both. It’s pretty easy configuration on how to craft the drinks as well , i got the hang of it rather fast. I absolutely loved the cold brew option and the fresh powerful flavor .It Really does produce a cold drip so can be added to ice right away . Ive been drinking them daily now . There’s different temperature settings so i can obtain a hot , mild temperature or ice drink . The milk frother is a must and i can make a easy cold foam with the attached tool. Overall i love this machine and wish I would of purchased this sooner !

Been using Nespresso machines I bought every single line and finally I just decided that we need real homemade espresso! I am so happy with this machine.I only drink espresso so can’t really tell you much about making mixed drinks with it. But it does work great! No issues.

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is hands down the best coffee machine I have ever had! The shots of espresso come out perfect and I love how you can really use this machine to customize how bold you want your coffee to be. I enjoy that I can make my own lattes and mochas at home using the steam attachment. The machine is really easy to set up and very user friendly to use!

This espresso machine is great. I was able to grind my beans, use already grounded coffee, and hot water with ease. The instructions are easy to follow and the setup took little time before it was up and running. I am following the guidebook and trying my best to make the best cup of coffee with the indicator of the optimal zone and have enjoyed my espresso through the day when working from home this week. If anyone is looking for a sleek looking machine that has a wide variety of uses this is for you. The cleaning is also easy and is fairly compact for all the things it can do. I am getting rid of what other devices I have because this is so convenient. I look forward to making a cold brew again soon too with warm weather and there are so many different versions of coffee and espresso you can make that you will never get old of just one.

Why didn’t I purchase this years ago?
My wife and I have been an avid cappuccino drinkers for as long as I can remember. Searching for a coffee house that could make a decent cup was always hit and miss, and when I travel it can sometimes be arduous, so enjoying a good cappuccino was always a treat if we could find a good one. while visiting my sister earlier this summer I started drinking cappuccinos at her house and found that with very little tweaking could make a decent one, and immediately got hooked. After an extensive search I decided on the De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso Machine. It was a bit of a financial commitment, and without trying it out first was hesitant. But my skepticism was soon replaced with utter astonishment and joy with how great the drinks were. This machine makes exceptional drinks straight out of the box. It is fun to see how excited my wife gets when I make her cappuccinos. Trust me, she is not easily impressed.We have had this machine now for less than a month and I have made on average 4-6 cups a day between the two of us. It is paying for it’s self quickly, and will be a main stay in our home for years to come. I couldn’t be happier with this product.

First time owning a coffee machine that is not drip or automatic and never going back
Water storage is a bit small, however it is enough for 4 americanos and you wouldn’t want days old water anyway. Education is key, learn how set and brew YOUR kind of coffee, find time to understand and adjust how the machine will affect the taste and you will not regret. If you want coffee with little effort? Stick to instant coffee or long lines at Starbucks/Dutchbros

I am really liking my new De’Longhi Coffee maker so far. In my younger days working as a barista, owning an espresso machine at home was uncommon, but now they are available to all. This machine offers a variety of coffee choices to prevent you from getting bored of one type. As a lover of macchiato, I tried making some myself a few times so far, and they turned out to be delicious. The wand quickly heats the milk and water, by grinding beans to actually having the coffee ready to drink within minutes. This machine offers it all.It was the final addition I needed on my counter top, now gleaming alongside my other kitchen appliances. I look forward to using it for many years ahead.

Fantastic espresso/cappuccino machine
Unlike more manual machines, frothing milk is a dream. When you turn off the steam, it depressurizes itself. You don’t need to run the steam out in a mug of cold water until the pressure drops. Also, no steam comes off the machine, so you can actually operate it under a cabinet without having to move it forward on your counter. My only complaint is the piece of plastic inside the portafilter. Completely unnecessary. I don’t believe plastic should ever come into contact with something hot that you’re going to consume. I will be calling the manufacturer about this.

I love this product! This product comes in a huge box from looking at the box, I thought machine was going to be huge. This product out box is very nice. This product is a perfect size it was not huge at all. This product has a nice and shiny modern design. This product comes with a bunch of accessories. I bought a variety of coffee, cappuccino and froth mix. I had so much fun making different coffees. I mostly loved the cappuccino and froth. This is my first barista machine so I had no idea what to do. Instructions were clear and was able to figure it out. I am getting better at using this product. I love how it grinds the coffee grounds with a simple push. I love the different options this machine gives you americano, espresso, ice coffee, hot water. This machine lets you know when water is low. You can easily change your settings. It also has a dial for your specified drink. This product even has an on and off button which is very neat. The froth was very easy to do and I had the most fun doing that, my coffees tasted like it came out an upscale restaurant! This product is great for anyone who absolutely loves coffee, cappuccino and espressos. This product is a great addition to any kitchen!

5 Months Starbucks Sober!
After living in Australia for 3 years, I fell in love with real coffee. Bought this immediately after coming back to the US and have used it every day.Can make Long blacks/Americanos, lattes, and straight espresso shots. I also bought a electric tea kettle for Long/Short Blacks but the Americano setting works well too.Takes a while to get the coarse/grind settings right, but the guidebook it comes with really helps. Definite Recommend!

I will start off by saying that I am an avid fan of coffee and can not live without it, so my expectations are high. This machine by far exceeded my expectations. It looks absolutely amazing, and is a great addition to my appliance. The quality and build of this machine is great as well! In terms of coffee, it works great and provides a rich and flavorful espresso. The unique options allow you to make a variety of drinks to your liking. It is also easy to use, which was one of my concerns. However, after a few trials, I was able to easily get a hang of things. Would definitely recommend this product!

While on a trip to Italy, I fell in love with espresso drinks. When I got home, I had to have my own machine so I could continue enjoying these coffee drinks without paying $6 – 8 for each one. (In Italy, they were usually only 1 or 2 Euros!)When it arrived, it was easy to set up with clear instructions in the included booklet. Getting a good cup of espresso takes a little experimentation, along with good quality coffee beans and filtered water. Clean up is easy enough – and it is very important to keep up with this!There are espresso machines that are less costly, but after reading many reviews on Amazon and other sites, this De’Longhi La Specialista is worth every penny.

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is a powerhouse when it comes to making espressos. It has consistently extracted the perfect espresso shot and extracts a good amount of flavor. I use medium light roast beans as it is my preferred bean. The espresso always comes out not too acidic, which I like best.The setup was extremely easy due to the 1 button press to flush the machine before use. I also really like how easy it is to clean. The disassembly of the water reservoir and the machine as a whole was super quick. This is a big plus as I buy machines for convenience, not to create more work for myself.One of my all time favorite features of this espresso machine is the pressure gauge and the adjustible brew temperatures. Being able to play around with the temperature and set it to my preferred temperature has been a godsend. I have been able to make my perfect espresso shit just by having this feature. The pressure gauge also lets me monitor the extraction.Another cool feature is the grinder. It has many settings to ensure proper grind size. I can get rid of my stand alone grinder and use one machine instea of two. Another nify feature is the built in steam wand. I still need to work on my latte art and my steam wand skills, but I love how I can learn how to make latte art with this machine as well.Lastly, I wanted to give De’Longhi a shoutout for the many accessories it comes with (including a tamp and even different sized baskets). With all these cool features, I would highly recommend this espresso machine to anyone who loves espressos/coffees/lattes. I haven’t had a bad extraction and it is definitely going to save me a lot of money. I no longer have to go out to a coffee shop. I can just make the perfect coffee in my own home!

There is a definite learning curve to a good cup of brew, I recommend TikTok. It was very helpful and much quicker than YouTube videos. Over all I love the machine, we have been making tea, coffee, espresso, dirty chai, and the list goes on….

We’ve had it for over 8 months now and it has always worked fantastic. Just make sure you follow instructions for the proper settings and it works like a dream. My wife also uses it for the hot water feature for tea. It’s definitely paid for itself!

Got it for the family as a gift, daughter stole it and took it back to college. Easy to use and clean. It wasn’t cheap, but a good brand so it should last a long time. We have a smaller version that we purchase at least 8 years ago and it still is going strong. Thank goodness since out new one was “stollen” lol
