They’re not kidding. It really is the best cup of coffee.

First let me say I don’t get paid to review products. Not one of those. I review strictly so the next person can be informed. This coffee maker is top notch. I’ve never had a better cup of coffee in my life. It almost makes me made I’ve been drinking crappy coffee all these years. You will not be disappointed in your purchase, I assure you.

    best cup of coffee ever!

THE best coffee maker ever! Made BPA free and non toxic, because i dont want to have all of that toxic plastic in my body. Very quiet machine, and brews really fast within a few minutes. Coffee taste is superb 🙂 I usually buy the Bunn coffee makers but i got tired of them leaking after a couple months. My last Bunn coffee maker, had a warming metal plate in the top of the lid that started rusting after sitting in the water just overnight from. the first day, and to think i had been drinking rust. That made me mad Iv’e read nothing but great reviews on this coffee machine, yes it’s expensive. i figure it’s better than buying a bunn coffee machine every year which are easily over $100.00 a piece. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed, i promise. The only down side is that there is no auto brew to wake up to the coffee already brewed. The should work on making options like that. Other than that, an awesome machine. Very pleased

    MY NEW FAVORITE APPLIANCE

I spent many days researching the best coffee maker to fit my needs and the Buy it For Life Subreddit had nothing but awesome things to say about this machine so I ended up purchasing it during the Black Friday Sale.I used to be someone who would justify buying coffee out all the time and since the day I got it, I haven’t had coffee out one single time because I like the coffee I make at home MUCH better. The Moccamaster is super easy to use, makes my coffee quickly, and the coffee is good EVERY SINGLE TIME.The one drawback is how many pieces need to be washed everyday, but I don’t have a dishwasher. It really isn’t too bad though and takes me around 3 minutes to get it all washed.I have been ranting and raving to everybody who will listen about how much I love this thing! I will definitely be purchasing more items to add to my coffee routine from this company.

    perfect simple brewer

been using for over a year, two or three times a day. My only regret is that I did not buy one sooner. it has completely ruined me for any other coffee aside from the most exclusive coffee shops. well, worth the price, reliable, makes every type of coffee perfectly, just turn it on and let it do its thing.

So much YES. Buy and be happy.

This thing is so good it’s not fair. By far the best coffee I’ve ever had out of a drip machine.Let’s first cover the cost. Is it expensive? Yes. Did it sting a little? Yes. Have I spent more money on worse things? Also yes, but let’s move on.NO regrets. Just…none. Unboxing is a joy, getting it set up for the first time is equally a joy. Marveling at the relative simplicity of the design? Yep. A joy. And I say “relative” because it’s certainly not like I could design this thing. It’s light in weight, takes up less space than you’d expect, and it’s really easy to use. All you need is filtered water, #4 filters of choice, and freshly ground beans. What comes out is pure, absolute, incredible liquid happiness. Whatever sting remains from the purchase disappears with the first sip.I offer five stars because there aren’t six. And back to price. Over the years I’ve spent much more than the purchase price buying machines which touted similar results. Remove my stupidity from the equation, this machine is an outright bargain.

    I drink my coffee black

I’ve been drinking my coffee black for the last 20 years – I just like it that way. I’m no connoisseur, but I can tell a good cup from a bad cup. We’ve had the same coffee maker for the last 10 years. It was one of the standard ones you put on your wedding registry. It did the job fine.Over the last 10 years, I brewed our coffee with a standard coffee maker, french press, Aeropress, and pour-over using a v60. The v60 was the one I used and loved the most up until about 4 years ago – that’s when we welcomed our firstborn into the world. I made a full pivot back to the standard coffee maker – occasionally using the v60 when I get a nice bag of coffee.Towards the end of last year, my wife and I agreed that we’d purchase a nicer coffee maker since we’ve had our current one for so long. I started researching.. So many cool machines out there these days that will do all sorts of things like grind your beans for you, make espresso (or nespresso), and plenty of other things- but at the end of the day I wanted something that simply made good coffee. I found a few options, thought about it for a while but still didn’t have my mind made up. Fast forward to a day where my wife forwards me an instagram story about some influencer who “likes nice things” – she was talking up this very Moccamaster – I had never heard of a Moccamaster so I was intrigued. I clicked on the link, did a little more research and was really impressed. I didn’t want to get my hopes high.. but.. that first cup of coffee was the way coffee is intended to taste.I’m convinced that I couldn’t do a pour over with my v60 that tastes as good as this coffee maker does it. I thought it might just be the bag of coffee I was using so I wanted to go through all my usual coffees before I wrote a review. I’ve brewed local craft coffees to mass produced coffees. Even the Dunkin coffee is the best Dunkin I’ve ever had! This coffee maker truly keeps things simple and good. You pay a little more for it, but it’s something you’ll use every day. This is probably my favorite purchase I’ve ever made from Amazon. Well done, Moccamaster team – thank you!

    As advertised

I’ve only had this coffee maker a week, so take what you can from that. But, so far, so good! Easy to set-up. Within 2 days I had the coffee adjusted to where I like it far as taste goes. Performs flawlessly, is quiet, fast, looks good and the coffee is not only flavorful, but HOT. I really like that about it. I’m used to pre-heating my coffee cup so the coffee doesn’t cool off too fast, but not even sure that’s necessary with this coffee maker. It is the perfect temp to brew good coffee and keep it hot all the way to the bottom of the mug. It’s easy to clean and I love the “retro” look. The genius is in its simplicity…easy to adjust for any type of coffee you like. Zero issues or complaints…I’ll come back and add if I need to, but love it so far.UPDATE. I’ve had this coffee maker for a little over a month now. I love it more now, than I did when I first got it. It continues to amaze me how good the coffee is! It has to make the smoothest coffee I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. I even bought a grinder. I went into it not expecting much of a difference, but boy was I wrong. The coffee is even more flavorful! I”m thinking of buying a second one, just to have on hand, in case something goes wrong in the future, but since you can purchase most or all of the parts you might need, not really necessary.

Great Coffee Machine with a few Quirks and limited Features

First, let me say I looked at a few colors first before settling on Stone Grey. I was originally leaning towards matte silver, but it honestly didn’t look as rich and impressive as I thought it would and then polished silver looked good, but not ‘distinctive’.So I ordered the Stone Grey and it looks SO good – it has a unique ‘crinkle’ metallic finish to it, making it look very rich but the color is also timeless.I have a good Breville burr grinder and got some good coffee and set it for a more coarse setting as recommended. The coffee came out really good, but immediately before brewing my first cup, I noticed some quirks that are worth mentioning:- you can not remove the water canister and fill it up – you have to bring the water to it- it will brew 100% of the water in the water canister (ie. you can’t fill it up and brew 2 cups or 4 cups or anything; it will brew 100% of whatever water is in the canister, so fill it up carefully) – that’s the biggest drawback I personally have so far- the cups are European cups (like most coffee makers) – ie. 1 cup is 4oz. So a 16 oz travel mug is “4 cups”- it is MUCH lighter than I expected (not good or bad, just unexpected)- plastics are cheap (just being honest – they are shiny and cheap)- glass carafe is crazy thin and light (worried it will break over time, but we’ll see)- there are only two switches – on/off (with an auto-off) and 1/2 or full pot. That’s it. No timer, no program function, etc.In other words, it does one thing and it does it well as there are really no other features to speak of, other than things behind the scenes that just work (hand built, quality materials other than the plastics, proper temperature, proper dosing, etc.) I don’t regret my purchase after my terrible experience with Breville Grind ‘n Brew that stopped working in less than 2-years for a similar cost.

    Best coffee pot ever!!

The media could not be loaded.

I have owned them all from cheap to high end (Mr. Coffee to Breville Grind and Brew) and hands down this is the best coffee maker I’ve ever had or had the pleasure of tasting!!! It’s simple, clean and just does a dang good job!! I have tried freshly ground beans to Folgers and there is zero acidity. I also love there is minimal plastic being heated, less microplastic being ingested! I made a slight adjustment for my busy morning with a toddler and purchased a outlet with a remote so I can set it all up the night before and click on as I’m finishing getting ready in the mornings. Get it, you won’t regret it at all!!!

    Great coffee maker

Very nice coffee maker. Consistent cup of coffee. It’s odd looking but works well.It brews fairly quickly. It doesn’t taste quite as good as a pour over, but it’s pretty close.I heard these things last forever and they are easy to repair if needs be. Design is fairly old, but works. If coffee isn’t overly important to you, it’s overkill. You kind of have to be a snob to really get value out of this.

    BEST PURCHASE EVER

We have spent a lot of time searching for coffee pots and I’m so happy that we got this one! Not only does it look amazing, it makes the coffee to the absolute perfection. It’s easy to clean, stainless steel and glass. The coffee pot stays on for about 30 to 45 minutes and then automatically turns off for to safety purposes, which is really convenient for someone like me who constantly forgets to turn things off

Worth the splurge (when on sale!)

I have had my Moccamaster coffee maker for a little over 6 months and have used nearly daily. I loveeee it. Yes, the gorgeous and industrial aesthetics of this coffee maker had it at the top of my wishlist for a long time but the color options, sale price and excellent reviews are what made me pull the trigger. It was on sale for 250 (& I applied a 100 dollar gift card) when I purchased. Therefore, I have often asked myself if it is worth the price tag. I think it is worth the sale price of $250. I personally just can’t get behind spending more than that on a coffee maker. However, it makes excellent coffee (my fav maker I’ve ever had) and between brewing my favorite coffee and it being a splurge I have barely gotten coffee out at all this year. I prefer my home coffee above all now, so that alone has made the price tag worth it. Lastly, there is no denying it’s a statement piece and can make a kitchen. For example, I got the peppercorn yellow and it makes my kitchen/ studio apartment! Everyone compliments it & it gives an industrial, clean, masculine vibe which is what I wanted. Also, I think you could go with the pale yellow to complete a cottage core room or even to suit a retro kitchen and/ or silver/ white for clean, modern, serious bistro vibes, etc. Endless options, but I really loved getting to choose a color! Lastly, it just has a great feel, is intuitive for any OG coffee pot folks who have never liked pods, and is easy to clean!

    Lifetime Perfection

What an amazing appliance.I wet the filter, pause water flow after about 30 seconds. Give it a stir. Let sit for 60 seconds. Place carafe on heating element, resume brewing. This allows a bit of bloom, for the gasses in the coffee to release a bit.Fresh roasted, ground beans absolutely matter. So does water quality. Recommend a Zero Water pitcher for lowest TDS, to reduce scaling.Don’t hesitate if you have been on the fence. This is an absolute time saver.

Love this Amazing, fast and smooth Coffe Maker <3 <3 <3

I got rid of my Breville Brewmaster Precision Brewer and replaced it with the Moccamaster KBGV Select. I couldn’t be happier. First and foremost the brewmaster allowed for setting the temp but never made a cup hotter than 136 degrees unless you brewed a half carafe or more (approx, 32 ounces). Granted, the Brewmaster is bigger but what is the point of having a temp setting if it doesn’t work. I wasted a ton of coffee just to get something hot (and no, the microwave ruins the coffee). This beautiful unit however can brew a single cup at a piping 186 degrees within 4 minutes; and it tastes great! The only downside is that you have no control over the bloom. Basically blooming is soaking the beans for a set amount of time before releasing to the carafe. I typically bloom for about 30 seconds. But here is a trick, start the brew before putting the carafe under the maker and you have a poor man’s bloom! I never wait long enough to have it overflow over the top. This is pretty much unnecessary on this coffee pot as the coffee comes out great every time. Finally I have found a simple coffee pot that simply does what it was designed for without over architecting needless technology or any gimmicks. Some other tips:Never put tap water into these machines. Use distilled water and you will rarely if ever have to descale the unit.If you grind your own beans you can simply set the grinder to a set time for the measure. No need to use the spoon or anything.Everybody has a favorite coffee roaster. I stumbled upon Two Brothers out of Chicago and they have a consist process that gives me exactly what I am looking for in coffee. I use other brands for espresso.Enjoy your coffee!!!

The coffee machine that makes you ask “What do I value?”

My last coffee machine had a hundred options, made a fine pot of coffee, and lasted all of 2.5 years. And it only lasted that long with me working around its mechanical problems for the last year. I tried to fix it, but it literally was put together with “tamper proof” screws. So – designed specifically to not be repaired and thus now it is in the land fill. This machine could not be more different. It strips the coffee making process down to the basics. Makes a great pot of coffee in a short amount of time. And comes with a best in class warranty. They even service it for a reasonable price after the warranty expires. As far as the coffee taste goes, don’t expect magical properties. It heats water and pours it over coffee grounds. That is it. But the water gets to the ideal temperature quickly and stays at that temperature throughout the brew.So if you highly value simplicity, reliability, and repairability and are willing to pay a little extra for these, then this is the machine for you. If you expect a $350 machine to make a pot of coffee that is 3.5 times better than a $100 dollar machine, or have 3.5 times the features, then this is not the machine for you.

    Smooth coffee!

I’ve owned several different drip coffee makers over the years, from Cuisinart to Bonavita to Mr. Coffee. And what they all have in common is inconsistency—some mornings the coffee tastes fine, but other days it’s inexplicably mediocre. And it’s rarely GREAT. So I finally splurged on the Moccamaster, and wow! It makes the smoothest cup of coffee I’ve ever managed to make at home. You know when you go to a fancy restaurant and you get a great cup of coffee after dinner and you can’t stop talking about how good it is? That’s what this machine produces!

    The BEST coffee pot

The media could not be loaded.

This is the best coffee pot I’ve ever had!I’ve been looking for a coffee pot that had no plastic. But none to be found except an industrial home version with a metal basket. Not exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been researching for few weeks and found this pot.The plastic that they use are BPA, BPS, BPF and phthalate-free plastic. It had better quality plastic than any other ones that I’ve I seen out there.I was also looking for one that made really good coffee. And this pot does that. It makes a clean and smooth coffee. It keeps the coffee hot. Which I saw a review that said it dosen’t but it does. After having coffee from this pot, I don’t want to go get coffee from a Starbucks or any other place. They won’t taste as good as mine! I really mean that. It’s amazing!Plus I started grinding my own coffee before making a pot. That makes a difference also. This big purchase was worth every dollar and then some!

    Worth the price!

After 4 months, I am able and ready to write a thorough review.Pros:Price: Because of the cone shaped filter and design, I use around half as much coffee as every other machine I’ve owned. In my mind, it will eventually pay for itself. No drip design: So far, so good! Got sick of the mess and smell of burning coffee every time I poured a cup from other coffee makers. This is why I switched from my Bunn after just 4 months.Replacement parts: Although most of the parts have a cheap plastic feel, every critical part can be easily purchased and replaced keeping your investment like new.Removable top: While coffee is brewing, you can remove the top and watch the hot water pour over and brew your coffee grounds. Why? Only fresh coffee will froth as it brews keeping a check on the freshness of your coffee.Speed: Very fast. Brews a whole 10 cup pot in just a few minutes.Taste: Very consistent. Coffee tastes great using nearly half the beans. It took me a while to get coffee/water ratio to my liking (was honestly making it too strong) but now I enjoy the same consistent flavor daily.Temperature: Coffee Seems to brew and maintain a perfect temperature.Carafe: It seemed big and a little clumsy at first but my hand easily fits into the large opening making it a cinch to clean.Automatic shut off: Nice feature. Keeps coffee from overheating which can make it bitter.Looks: THIS MACHINE JUST LOOKS COOL!Cons:Not dishwasher safe: Oh well, just get used to hand washing parts daily. No clock or timer: I personally don’t need another clock in my kitchen but it may be useful to some, so consider this before buying.Carafe lid: # 1 con; I cannot argue the reasoning for the design, but the inside of the long tube that bleeds the coffee to the bottom of the pot is near impossible to clean without some kind of long, tiny brush. Being non dishwasher safe, they should consider including a cleaning brush with this product.Overall:It’s hard to argue about a machine that brews delicious, fresh, fast, hot brewed consistent coffee. This machine looks great and can easily be keep looking and brewing like new. It should be the last coffee maker I will ever purchase.

    Just Buy It

I’m a coffee snob and proud of it. I hope you trust me when I say this machine makes quality coffee. I got it for $250 on sale, and after using it for about a month I would have paid full price (like $380) for it if I had to. It’s wonderful and when paired with a good grinder (I have the Baratza Virtuoso+) it makes the best drip coffee I’ve ever had.Operating it is quite simple, and I really like that there aren’t 100 options to mess with. You have two switches: one to toggle between full pot and half pot, and one to turn the machine on/off. That’s it. It’s quiet and within a few minutes it’s done.I would recommend reading through the instruction manual when you get it. It’s isn’t complex but there are a few good pieces of information in there that you will want to know. It also has a handy chart for measuring out coffee based on how much you would like to make.Just buy the thing already. Thank me later.

    I like it, but…

I like it, its well built and makes great coffee. The only complaint I have is the carafe. It feels like it could break easily and has no fill markings. Also the lid does not attach or seal well to the front edge as they tend to do with the “normal/cheaper” coffee makers, so it tends to dribble the water or coffee as you pour if you don’t pour very slow. Not a deal breaker, just need to get used to it.

    The perfect drip coffeemaker

I’ve used a Cuisinart and Mr. Coffee over the years, as well as Melita and Chemex. The Moccamaster, which I bought 3 weeks ago, makes hands down the best drip coffee I’ve ever had (& that includes drip coffee at Starbucks and Pete’s). I like it better than Chemex—& it’s easier to use than Chemex. Remember, this is drip coffee —it has a different taste than French press or espresso or those nasty pod machines. Moccamaster does one thing only—it makes excellent drip coffee.Other reviewers dinged this machine for arriving with a chipped heating plate &/or were disappointed in the thickness of the glass carafe. My Moccamaster Select arrived in perfect condition. And I found the glass carafe to be pretty much no different (in terms of thickness/quality) than other carafes with other coffee makers —it even Chemex. This is an expensive machine. I thought about buying it for a long time & read lots of reviews. I’m very glad I purchased it, & I’m enjoying it very much every day.

    Delicious coffee!

The number one reason for a coffeemaker is to make coffee. And to make GOOD coffee. This does that in spades! It makes a great cup of coffee, at the right temperature. This is important, as I can notice that it works well in bringing out notes on the coffee grind that my previous coffeemaker was unable to do. I can really taste the coffee and each new type of bean is a new, wonderful activity to look forward to. Knowing that I’ll get a good flavor profile that I had been lacking. I wish I bought this sooner.Oh, it’s also really easy to clean – which is a nice bonus.

Expensive but very good Coffee Maker

The Moccamaster KGBV is expensive but it is a very nice coffee maker. I have been eyeing this coffee maker for several years and when my ancient Melitta BCM-4CB finally started to falter, I decided to upgrade. This is probably the finest drip style coffee maker made. I have a Pavoni I use for espresso and cappuccino and this Moccamaster is just as well made and as solid. The heating element is copper and heats the water quickly. This coffee maker will brew a pot as fast as a Bunn and is a lot easier to maintain and clean. Since the water reservoir and heating element are separate from the brew basket there is little risk of spilling used coffee grounds into the water reservoir as seems to happen frequently with cheaper coffee maker designs. Also it is heavy enough that I don’t think a damn cat on the counter or a clumsy adult in the kitchen could easily knock it off and break it, but they probably will try. The Moccamaster KGBV is Expensive with a capital E compared to most other coffee makers but it is a very good coffee maker.

I didn’t even drink the coffee

I purchased this machine for my partner. 12 years ago when we met he mentioned this is the brand he would buy if he were to buy a new one. I bought him a new one and it wasn’t this one. He has used it religiously and loved it. 12 years and a Prime Day deal later, i purchased the Moccamaster.First. It’s a beautiful machine. His kitchen is all white so this Pistachio color added the pop of color that was needed. The first morning, I set up the machine only needed to locate the coffee/, water ratio. Spoiler: 7 scoops for a full pot.I washed all the parts, ran a full pot of water through the machine, and then brewed a pot of coffee. It’s so easy to assemble. You don’t need the manual. The coffee smells amazing and my partner said, this coffee tastes really good.About 3 years ago he went through head/ neck cancer. Chemo and radiation. For more than a year nothing tasted right. In the last year he regained more of his tastes but still reminds me his ability to tastes still isn’t right. For him to notice a difference and say how good the coffee tasted is a mic drop moment. If you believe your old coffee maker is getting the job done, or may not be as good as you think. Don’t spend more than $250 , but get this machine!

THE Best Cup of Drip Coffee!!

I was not expecting this to be such a resounding success, but it has been wholeheartedly adopted household-wide, even with the whimsical color. This brews the best cup of coffee we’ve ever had at home or otherwise. We plugged it into a smart outlet, so it’s already brewing when we wake up. I love the simplicity of the design. I have a handful of high-quality treasures I’ve stumbled upon over time, made with lasting quality, and surely this is one of them.

Best coffee I’ve ever made! And beautiful.

Life is too short to drink bad coffee, I’ve always said. For years I’ve loved the coffee from my brothers Moccamaster, and when I was ready to upgrade, I read coffeemaker reviews that rated the Oxo Barista Brain better, so I got that. Also it was a little less costly. But the coffee wasn’t really better than from my regular cheap drip maker. After living with that poor decision for several years, I finally snatched a Moccamaster up during a sale, and from my first cup I’ve been blown away. I don’t know why, but this makes the best coffee I’ve ever made, and all my guests agree. (And it inspired a friend to pick one up.) Maybe because it’s hand made in the Netherlands, the temperature control and water sprinkling patterns are so precise, it brings out only the best part of the beans. I paid extra for the orange color and it looks so great in my kitchen. It brings me joy every single day. Best purchase!!!

    WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Titling a review in all caps isn’t usually my bag, but this coffee pot is that good… really. My wife and I visited her friend during the summer and after we had talked for a while, she offered us a cup of coffee, which sounded great. Once I laid eyes on her Moccamaster, the design was so striking that I asked about it. She said she’d had it for 15 years and never had a problem with it (although she was using a different carafe as the original had broken some years ago). I watched her go through the process of using it to brew a pot of coffee and couldn’t help but think the retro design is cool… so, points for style. Once I tasted the coffee, I had the mental experience of a moment that you might see in a movie: the clouds parted, a beam of light shone upon me, angels sang, and my consciousness was elevated to another level. This is only a slight exaggeration, as I hadn’t had a cup of drip coffee as good… ever.Once we got home, I ordered the Moccamaster on Amazon, waited impatiently for it to arrive, and have been enjoying it literally every day since. I have no regrets about this purchase. In fact, the only regret I’ve had is that I wish I’d discovered this machine years ago, because I missed out on so many amazing cups of coffee… oh, well. I’ve likely got another forty years on this planet and will be drinking my coffee out of a Moccamaster every day.I will say this: good water, good coffee, and the correct ratio between the two is VERY important. I had only used cheap drip coffee pots prior to purchasing this machine and never realized how critical grind consistency and the weight of the grounds are to making an excellent cup of coffee. There are recommendations included in the paperwork; it’s a good place to start. It will take a little tinkering around to figure out what brand, flavor, and size of grind you’ll need to suit your taste, but once you get it down, nothing but heavenly cups of coffee await.

Got this several months ago and it has been a delight. Coffee tastes different and much better than with the old brewer. Makes half pot of coffee pretty quick, which was a nice surprise. So far very satisfied with this purchase, well packaged and no problems. Just read the manual and make sure everything is in its proper place to avoid coffee getting all over the place as some reviews have mentioned it. Love my MoccaMaster!!!

This is my third MoccaMaster. The first was a hand me down. It lasted me ten years. The second I still have, it is the larger 60 oz carafe version. It is now just my wife and I. So we went back to a 40 oz.This coffee make doesn’t have any bells and whistles. It simply makes the beat cup of coffee. It heat the water to the perfect temperature, drips it over the grounds at the perfect rate and drips it through the filter at the perfect rate. You may not recognize your regular coffee this bad boy works so well.I’ve gone through a pile of other coffee makers, most less expensive, but I’ve also had the pleasure of more expensive machines as well. I’m a Technivorm fan. I’ve never found a drip coffee maker that makes as good of a cup.

Amazing difference, well worth the money

I am blown away at how using the exact same beans and the exact same water this brewer delivers such a vastly superior cup of coffee. It is just as good as french press without the residual ‘mud’ at the bottom of your cup.The brewer brews a full pot in under six minutes – I timed it – so the absence of an autobrew programming feature isn’t really missed. A pot brews into the carafe at 190* and 20 minutes later is still over 180* – yes, I tested those too.It may seem like a splurge, but if you’re a coffee snob like I am, it’s worth dropping the money on it.

    Stop overthinking — buy it

I love coffee – let’s start with that. In college I had a Keurig. Sure, fairly convenient for those bustling mornings to class. But let’s face it – the coffee product *sucks*. So I switched back to filter coffee with a Chemex, which I love, but sometimes I just don’t have the times in the morning to sit there and measure out the grams of water I’m pouring.I bought a Ninja Duelbrew pro. And honestly, made solid drip coffee for all of the features it had. That is, until the computer died *15 months* after purchase. Reminder – their warranty is 12 months. When I contacted them, they could not sell me parts, and sent me a “limited time offer” to buy a new one at the low low price of $159.99 + $25 shipping. Ha! Went to Reddit, realized this machine was legit, and bought it. It’s simple. It makes coffee. Good coffee. Really, really good coffee. And it looks gorgeous. It’s a simple machine that perfects brewing drip coffee. Two mechanical switches, and a bunch of copper heating elements. That’s it. No computers to break, no fancy gizmos. As an engineer, sometimes gizmos are fun, but what’s more fun is something engineered to near perfection. That’s what this coffee maker is.Pro tip — if you want this machine but think you’ll miss having one that you can set up at night to brew in the morning, just buy a $12 smart plug. I use a smart plug with this, and am able to get everything laid out the morning before. Using apple home, I have it turn on at whatever time I want, with the coffee and water already filled. And boom – great coffee, at the time I need it. Sure, it’s not as *fancy* to grind your beans the night before. But hey, it still tastes delicious, and is the best tasting coffee I’ve been able to produce from home.So just buy it. It’s a coffee machine with a 5 year warranty, where else can you find that? Most catchy name machines are designed to last 1-2 years and be thrown away. Do yourself, and the environment, a favor and buy a machine that could last years and years to come. It’s worth every penny

    Very smooth coffee

I was hesitant to buy this because I didn’t think it would be worth the price. My first cup of coffee changed my mind. The coffee was so smooth, I was amazed. The pot was easy to assemble and wasn’t any taller then my last coffeemaker. It seems fragile though and the pot has to be washed by hand. The pot was an unusual shape and I was afraid if it broke I wouldn’t be able to find one in a store. I found one on Amazon that was cheaper then the name brand one so I got it as a back up. I am very happy with this machine so far.

On the fence? Hop on over and buy one!

The media could not be loaded.

I’ve never spent this much on a coffee maker in my life and never thought I would. But I’m glad I did.I have had Cuisinart coffee makers for years and I am so tired of having to buy a new Cuisinart after a couple of years of use when it begins to malfunction. I have had to return brand new Cuisinart coffee makers as they didn’t work right and then wait for the replacement. Don’t know why I was so loyal to the brand. Maybe because they used to be much better and lasted longer. This Moccamaster has a five year warranty – that tells you something right there (don’t forget to register yours if you purchase one – they have an online form). It’s made in the Netherlands with meticulous crafting and testing. It’s nice looking. It’s easy to clean. It’s fast. It makes hot coffee. It’s smaller so it fits on my countertop nicely without taking up a lot of room.At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like the Rose Gold even though it is pretty, but I’ve come to like it and it’s a change from the stainless steel I’ve had for years. And, the Rose Gold was $60 less, so there’s that!Keep in mind that though this carafe holds ten cups, this is ten 4 ounce cups, not 6-8 ounce mugs. Fine by me as I drink a few mugs in the morning and then I’m done, and I’m the only one drinking coffee. These take paper filters – I’ve used a gold filter for many years because I don’t like tossing things in the landfill. However, two things: my gold filter does fit in there should I want to use it; and you can rinse the paper filters and reuse them a few times. Between those two things, less in the landfill. There is research to indicate that using paper filters doesn’t affect your cholesterol levels like the gold permanent filters. So something to think about. However using the paper filters does affect taste to some degree – I have to get used to the more ‘smoother’ taste of the coffee without the oils. But on the good side, there’s not the sludgy stuff at the bottom of my cup, and no coffee grounds escaping into my cup.Though it indicates to use fresh ground beans, I use both fresh ground and already ground. The fresh ground can taste better, but sometimes the already ground is convenient and easy and right there, and on sale. This is so easy to use right out of the box, once you put the parts in place. This is a no frills type coffee maker – there isn’t a timer but I never used the timer on my Cuisinart, not once, so I don’t miss that feature at all. There’s no clock but why do I need a clock? I don’t even have clocks in my house other than what is on my stove and cable box. There’s two buttons: one to select half pot or full pot, and the on/off button. The plug is weird. You have to kind of turn it partially sideways. It was annoying at first but now I just do it and don’t think about it. Cord is short, which I like. Hate snaking cords – I like the cord hidden behind the coffee maker and this one stays behind just great. What I also like is there isn’t those two deep dark areas that are difficult to get to and clean like in the Cuisinart and many other coffee machines. No matter how much I cleaned the machine, I always wondered how clean it really was down in there where you pour the water and where the brewing happens I guess. Here you can see where the water is, and it only goes through the stainless steel ‘arm’ and then down the little funnel and into the grounds. Cleaning is simple. There is no coffee going inside the machine anywhere. They suggest descaling it about every 3 months using a descaler and not vinegar. I never liked to use vinegar anyway.Out of the box I ‘brewed’ water only 3 times (they suggest 2) to be sure any factory dust or whatever was gone. It’s quiet. No loud beeping when it’s done. No loud gargling gurgles. Though you can hear it gently brewing. And you can see the bubbles coming up in the water – it happens fast!Mine has a warming plate. I don’t know if all of the models have it. The KBGV Select has a full pot or half pot selection. I used the half pot selection this morning when I brewed about a half pot and my coffee tasted better than when I used the full pot selection on half a pot – so it does something.I’m happy with mine and glad I finally purchased it after doing so much reading and research on coffee machines – for months! — the Moccamaster kept coming up over and over in the Best Coffee Makers lists – and often number 1.If you are on the fence, hop on over, if you don’t mind the price and don’t mind it’s a no-frills machine. The best part of it is the quality – I shouldn’t have to buy another coffee machine for many many years!

    An Honest Review…

OK – yes this is a very expensive coffee maker. One reason is it is HAND MADE in the Netherlands. Second reason is it is well made. It is a rather small machine, and doesn’t take up a lot of space which I found surprisingly pleasant. It is super simple to operate and clean. There are some parts that may need special attention, like the handle on the carafe. It easily comes off to wash the glass carafe. Some parts are made of plastic, but it’s by design – as they have to be food-grade safe. Now, the coffee. It makes superb coffee! It’s like a hand manual pour-over but with carefully jetted spurts of water that spreads equally over the coffee grounds. NOW, it is very important to use the right grind! I use #18 as recommended by the manufacturer. So, yes, very expensive and — you will have to pay more attention to cleaning, handling and operating — but if you want the very best coffee, it’s a small price to pay for the quality.

Just what’s needed to get your day started

Well built, extremely easy to clean. It’s NOT built like a tank because it has a lot of plastic pieces, but these seem to be very high quality plastic. Only time will tell how long these last. These seem to be prone to scratches, so be gentle. The main reason why I bought it was for its internal components, and so far it has not disappointed. The water temperature for brewing is maintained ~200 F and with constant flow. The water temperature once it reaches the coffee bed is on point. The hot plate keeps the coffee hot without burning it.If you are looking into this you might be on the search for great coffee, but remember that this is an automatic machine and the fact that you can mess with different variables might only created issues for you at the beginning- so stay constant and don’t get disappointed.I didn’t buy this to overcomplicate myself, but to have a more consistent automatic brewing. You can go down the rabbit hole of micromanaging the coffee brewing process (stopping the flow for bloom, agitate the grounds, modify the showe head, etc), but if you just let it do its job, I think you can be happy.Yes, you can experiment with:a) half pot vs full pot settingsb) ratioc) grind sized) coffee bed distributionThis is what’s worked for me:a) half pot if doing below 6cups (750ml); full pot if doing aboveb) ratio 1:17c) Grind setting medium coarse (across multiple beans): Baratza Encore ~20-22; Ode 2 ~6d) instead of a flat bed, doing it with a slope (from the side of the water going down to the handle side)Got it with a deal on Prime day, think this is a much more reasonable price than the full $400.

    Worth the hype 100%

I resisted this coffee maker for a long time. We’ve been hard core Capresseo folks for 2 decades. The machines are great but the quality of the brew isn’t always great. It tends to brew bitter-ish pots after a while and that’s because it starts brewing inconsistently. The idea of paying nearly the same for a coffee maker that only brews drip coffee with no grinder or thermal carafe seemed insane. But I did it anyway. I should have done this years ago. This is THE way to get excellent coffee. We buy specialty beans and they have never been brewed so perfectly hot or tasted this good, smooth, and complex. The reviews talking about cheap plastic and thin glass are just being exceptionally picky. The glass is standard carafe thickness if not a bit thicker. The plastic is fine quality. No the plastic pieces don’t seat in tightly. You don’t want them to. These pieces will expand and contract with heat. You want them to have room to do that. This is a super simple machine to use that brews exceptionally smooth, hot coffee in a very short amount of time. Protip: don’t be like my husband and attempt to fill the basket while it’s on the machine. Take it off and put it on the counter to add grounds. Otherwise you risk getting grounds in the reservoir and annoying your wife.

    Best coffeemaker I’ve ever had

I love the design, the ease of use, the clear water container which is a nice change from the interior one on my previous machines, and most of all, the coffee. This machine is simple. It’s very easy to see the exactly how much water you’re pouring in. There’s an on/off switch, and a selector switch which sets the brewing cycle, either for more or less than a half pot.The brew time is a bit slower when you select half pot or less, and the hot plate will turn off automatically a bit sooner. You can use this setting even when you make more than half a pot.I use a fairly coarse grind (coarser than grocery store ground coffee). This works well for me. Moccamaster includes a chart that shows water to coffee ratios for various amounts, based both on number of scoops with the included scoop, and grams. I find their recommendations based on grams to give better results, but you can adjust the amount of coffee to find what’s best for you. There is no timer, no clock, no lights or buttons aside from the two I’ve described, and the simplicity of the machine is part of its appeal.I’ve read some criticisms of the way the water is distributed over the ground coffee, and with a full pot, this may be something to watch. The spray arm doesn’t extend across the full diameter of the basket, so about 30 seconds after brewing starts, I use a spoon to stir the coffee grounds a bit to make sure they all get wet. But this isn’t necessary and I only do it because I think it produces a better cup of coffee. All of the coffee grounds will get wet without this step, but some won’t get as much time to “bloom”.I haven’t run a cleaning and descaling cycle yet, but the products for this are less expensive than for my previous machine. Some people don’t like the plastic parts, but they’ve been fine for me.This machine is made in the Netherlands and comes with a 5-year guarantee. Moccamaster sells replacement parts (carafe, plastic parts, spray wand, etc) at reasonable prices, too.I was lucky to get my candy apple red model on sale (about $80 off), so check for sale prices before you pay full retail, but it’s worth it I even at full price.EDITED to add: Rinsing the filter after you place it in the basket, then dumping out the water, will remove most of the paper taste from the filter, and it will also help the water to distribute farther and more evenly during brewing. It’s a fast, easy step, and it *is* included in the instructions, but somehow I missed it until I watched a YouTube video talking about the best brewing technique for the Moccamaster.

Is It As Good As They Claim

I ask myself, what does a cup of coffee from a near $400 coffee maker taste like? Is it better than a $20 Mr coffee coffee maker? There’s videos and reviews across the internet from “experts” who swear by this machine, I need to know for myself. Well, prime day discount made it closer to acceptable. Love the color options, finally settled on midnight blue. But let’s start with the gripes. For that price the water reservoir being plastic is sadly disappointing. And like everyone else who reviews these machines, the plastic bits are cheap and the carafe feels dainty, like a fragile toy. These things are disappointing. I literally sat by the door waiting for this to be delivered and I ripped it out of the box, set it up and fired up my first cup of joe from a very expensive luxury coffee maker. I even broke out some fancy crackers for the affair. I used the same beans, same grind, same amounts, same water, same cup, same creamer and sweetener, just like I do everyday and what I found was the coffe brewed in this tasted better. It tasted like coffee, not burnt, less acidic and I couldn’t be happier. It looks awesome, no buzzers, bells or computers, just flip the button and in near silent hyper speed, coffee. The pluses far out weigh the cheapy plastic bits and carafe. (You can see it right next to my old coffee maker in the pics). A+++.

I’m not a coffee connoisseur; does the brewer make a difference?

Emphatically, yes! If you’re on the fence about spending this much on a coffee brewer, then jump off with money in hand.We buy decent coffee, whole bean, and only grind a pot’s worth each morning in an effort to keep as much flavour as possible in the bean. We even use bottled water. All that thought goes into the coffee but not the machine we brew it in.We’ve always bought basic brewers, until our last one, which was still only ~$80. We used it for a couple of years, but still, we were unsatisfied with the flavour and overall experience of relishing in that first, hot cup of the morning. Not anymore! I was hesitant but decided it was worth a try. After all, Amazon accepts returns. I am so glad I did. Now, this is a bit smaller than the average brewer (10 cups), but with the quality of what’s brewed, you don’t even miss it. Every good thing that’s in a coffee bean, this brewer expertly and deliciously extracts it to give you an incredible cup of coffee.

    Simple and Elegant!

Excellent!! The first one I ordered came and looked like it was used for 10 year’s, I sent it back right away. The second one came it was exactly what I was looking for. If you use fresh coffee you will truly notice a difference in your morning cup. My wife and I could not be more pleased with this purchase!!

    Big Upgrade

In brief:-Makes wonderful coffee quickly.-I was initially disappointed with the carafe. Seemed flimsy and the handle ergonomics are not good. For such an expensive unit it seemed like a big miss. At least make a handle that feels good in your hand. I’m over this now because of the coffee quality. Also, don’t try to pour fast.-Needs more ground coffee than what we used with the Cuisinart – but it’s worth it!-1.25L (42oz) is not a lot of coffee, but it brews quickly. Seems like a European cup is 4 oz while it’s 6 in the US.Had a Cuisinart drip unit for years, which took a long time to brew and made ok coffee. My spouse works at a local coffee company and we get whole beans cheap, that said, we still preferred Starbucks Verona. We purchased the (expensive) Moccamaster on sale ($100 off) and used their recipe of 7 scoops per pot (1.25L) – WOW! The coffee brewed quickly and was delicious. We now prefer the locally roasted coffee to Verona and have settled on 6 slightly rounded scoops for a full pot. We buy dark roast whole beans and use an OXO burr grinder set to medium. Brew time is around 6 minutes.I expect this to be the last coffee maker we ever buy. If you like coffee, buy one.

Elegantly simple, and the coffee is really good

Our second Ninja coffee maker in 8 years just failed on us, so instead of another black plastic over-functional coffee maker that guests can’t figure out how to use, we decided to give this Moccamaster a try. It’s way more expensive, but the important parts are metal and it’s apparently repairable with a pretty generous 5 year warranty. It looks really nice on the counter, and it looks really nice when it makes the coffee with the boiling water bubbling up through the clear shaft. It’s primitively simple to use – it’s obvious where the water goes, it’s obvious where the coffee goes, and there’s only one setting switch for half-pot or full-pot, and one button to turn it on and make the coffee. The setting switch for half/full pot just alters the temperature of the hot plate. It does not control the machine to make a specific amount of coffee. That can be confusing because of all the other complicated coffee makers on the market. This is the type of coffee maker that simply uses all the water you give it to make the exact amount of coffee you want with the exact strength that you like.

Best coffee I have ever made at home!

After a lot of research, I’m so glad that I bought the Moccamaster! It is the best cup of home brewed coffee I have ever had and truly, it beats most coffee shops! I followed the manufacturer instructions and it makes an incredibly smooth cup of coffee. It’s perfect! As other reviewers have commented, some of the components of the machine do feel light, but everything seems very well made. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I bought the recommended filters and the cleaner to use every 100 uses. Other reviewers commented that cleaning it as recommended results in a long life span of the machine and excellent coffee. The only con is that the coffee is not as hot as my previous cuisenart coffee maker, but it is so much better in all other ways, that I really don’t mind. I use my milk frother to heat the milk and it’s fine.If you’re on the fence about getting the Moccamaster, get it! You won’t regret it!

    The best. Hands down.

I love coffee. My wife loves coffee. And over the years we’ve tried to love many, perhaps dozens of coffee makers. The cuisinart grind n’ brew, the oxo smart pour over. Mr coffee, Hamilton beech more cuisinart. Vac pots, French presses the list goes on. We didn’t discriminate. Some were ok for a while. Some awful right away. None lasted very long (and 3 weeks in the longevity jury is out on the Moca master too) the last 4 or 5 machines, I already had my eye on the moccamaster, but couldn’t bring myself to cross the 300USD rubicon on a coffee machine. How good could it be really right? After our last machine died at the beginning of April (the entirely mediocre Cuisineart pour over) we went for it. An orange Mocamaster KVBG. There’s no going back. It’s the best coffee machine I’ve ever had. By a wide margin. 1) the coffee is hot. Like really hot. Our last machine didn’t break 180F when brewing. This machine is consistently 201F (we are around 200ft above sea level if that matters to you), it’s also relatedly strong and flavorful. 2) it brews quickly and quietly. The machine brews 10 cups in under 4 minutes it’s less than half the time our prior machine took. 3) the coffee stays really hot: the heating plate is running on its a separate heating element and circuit from the brewer heating element and both are very powerful. Coffee is held around 180 for 2 hours 4) this is one I wouldn’t have thought much about but it’s not unimportant. There is a very limited amount of plastic contacting the hot water or coffee. The heater body is metal. Heating elements are copper, the hoses are silicone and the brew head is stainless steel. The only meaningful contact with plastic is when the hot coffee enters the carafe (the cover is plastic). This is a major improvement over every other machine I’ve ever used. Which had aluminum heating coils inside plastic heater tanks, plastic spray heads etc. 5) the aesthetic. It’s not retro. It never changed. It’s unreformed. It is a big Orange middle finger from the 1970s sitting on your kitchen counter. There is no WiFi. There is no app. There’s not a clock. Simply an on off switch (and a pot size adjuster which may or may not really do anything). I find it refreshing: last year when our washing machine broke it was a struggle to find one that wasn’t internet enabled. Why do I want an internet enable washing machine? So far I couldn’t be happier. Somehow it feels like a good value for the 350USD (as of April 23). If you’re on the fence. I’d go for it. You won’t look back.

A machine with the sole purpose of brewing coffee excels in its mission.

Hello new coffee friend. Smaller than I thought (in a good way) it’s about the same height as a normal coffee brewing machine. So it looks great on the counter and leaves plenty of space. The brew is perfect and it’s consistent. It’s a showcase for the beans you choose. I don’t think I can ever pay for drip coffee ever again now that I have this at home.

Perfection. Very easy to use and clean.

I got the 53923 KBGV in green for 179.99 in Nov 2024 that retails for 359. It was the only color on sale at the time. Ridiculously easy to use and clean. It makes for a strong cup of coffee. I’m coming from a 20 dollar Proctor Silex drip and a Bodum French Press unit that I thought was good enough, until I made coffee with the Moccamaster. ALL the flavors come out. Don’t know how to better describe it. I fill it up with filtered water slightly past the 4 cup mark and make sure only half pot button is on. It does the rest. I know there’s people that say to mix the slurry, but I let it do it’s thing. Perfection is what I got every single time. No doubt this is the last coffee maker I will ever buy.

    Best coffeemaker you can own.

This is the best coffeemaker I have ever owned. Yes, it’s pricey, but it also makes the best cup of coffee every time, and it maintains the right coffee temperature without burning the coffee. Additionally, it brews the coffee quickly without under brewing. There are no bells or whistles, which I was afraid I might miss. Instead, I love the simplicity of the machine. There’s a reason the design has stayed the same for decades.

I FInally Broke the Code for Getting a Great Cup of Coffee!!

FINALLY! – For the first time, I made a really, really, really good cup of coffee this morning! My brand new Moccamaster KBGV Select proved to be the final piece of equipment I needed. For those who don’t care about “how” to brew a great coffee, skip the rest of this review. But, for those who are trying to find the magic combination of things that will finally give you that great cup of coffee, read on:For the last year and a half, I’ve tried all kinds of coffee machines, returned all of them; tried many, many kinds of whole-bean coffees, and thrown away all of them. I felt that eyeballing my water and using a scoop to measure my coffee should be good enough. But no matter what I did, I ALWAYS ended up with a sour cup that tasted like hay. Finally, I decided to listen to the million coffee experts who all said the same thing (all this is on the internet, over and over):1. Use the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Gold Cup Standard brewing standards.2. Use a good burr grinder to make a consistent grind, and grind to the right size.3. Get an electronic digital coffee scale. Measure ground coffee weight to SCA Gold Cup Standard.4. Measure water accurately to SCA Gold Cup Standard.5. Use good water (if it tastes good to drink it, it will make good coffee).6. Brew at the correct temperature per SCA Gold Cup Standard. To these ends, I did the following:1. Bought a good burr grinder (Ode Gen 2)2. Bought a decent electronic digital coffee scale (Timemore Black Mirror Coffee Scale) and started weighing my ground coffee to the tenth of a gram3. Determined a bottled water that tasted the best to me4. Started measuring my water accurately5. Bought an electronic digital food thermometer so I could measure brewing temps.I was getting closer to a good cup, but it was still missing something. I found that my coffee maker’s water temp (where the water meets the grinds) was around fifteen degrees F too low. More research suggested that the higher temps in the Gold Cup Standard were needed to unlock flavors from the beans that lower temps couldn’t unlock. Barista reviews showed that the Moccamaster meets the SCA Gold Cup Standard brew temp range. So I bought it. The Moccamaster turned out to be the final piece of the puzzle! My first cup of coffee this morning with the Moccamaster was the most delicious cup I have EVER brewed at home (and I’m 68 years old!). This morning’s coffee was incredibly smooth, bright, and sweet, with overtones of caramel and chocolate. I feel like I have finally broken the code. The Moccamaster is only one tool in my arsenal. BUT in my opinion, I wouldn’t have broken the code without it. 🙂

    Simple, Fast, Elegant

I have been looking at this coffee maker for some time and pulled the trigger once the price hit my target range. It is very simple, brews very fast, and produces great coffee. No clock or timer so I plugged it into a smart outlet and have it on a schedule through an app, works like a charm. Only watchout for this is if the coffee maker reaches auto shutoff time before the outlet is turned off, the next day will not brew right, have to cycle the power button. I have since programmed an off time for the outlet or turn it off manually when I fill my last cup of coffee.

    Simple but Simply Brilliant

I know, I know! These things aren’t cheap. You can buy a nice coffee maker that will turn itself on before you get up in the morning for somewhere around a third the price, and it will be “pretty good.” However, they tend to be difficult to clean (esp. the water tanks) and largely made of plastic with rubber pipes. There is plenty of plastic on the Moccamaster, too…but all very hi grade. Better, the internal “piping” is copper, and less prone to contamination from calcium deposits, etc. One factor with a lot of budget coffee makers is the difficulty of cleaning the water tank: mold can grow where it is damp and warm for extended periods: the Moccamaster’s tank isn’t easily;y removable, but it IS easily cleaned with a soft sponge (nice wide opening). What e have here is great engineering, incredible longevity (or so owner’s say) and really great tasting coffee.

I have had a lot of coffee makers in my time but this is one nice coffee maker. Really nice color and finish on this coffee machine. They do an exceptional job on these. Okay, how does it perform? Great!! Super fast. Set my grinder, put exceptional beans in the grinder (from Atlis Coffee Club) flavor was medium Rwanda coffee with notes of grape, red apple, roasted almond. Delicious on the first shot. Simple to set up like 2 minutes, put some third wave water in and flipped the switch. Super easy! Great coffee machine especially for the Black Friday price.

Brews coffee and does it REALLY well

If you’ve made it to the Reviews section of a $350+ coffee maker, then I don’t know how much I can add to the research you’ve likely done. Seems expensive, but at a cost of a dollar a day for a year, you’ll think “it was worth every penny” with every sip you take. I kept it in my Amazon cart during the Prime Days, post-Thanksgiving sales days, hoping to get a somewhat better price. Patience paid off BIG TIME when Amazon offered it for $259.00. BAM. Snagged THAT deal!Pros:- The design hasn’t changed much in the decades since it’s been introduced, yet it doesn’t look dated at all. It still looks great on a counter!- Quality, quality, quality. This is NOT a plastic piece of crap. It’s mostly metal, and the plastic that is there feels nicer than most plastics. Search YouTube for the factory tour where they show how it’s made. You are paying for quality.- Of course, it brews a smooth cup of coffee.Cons: (to me anyways…)- It brews SMALL batches. “10 cups” is based on the European 4 oz “cup”, so 40 oz per pot. Most coffee makers sold here are 6 oz per cup, so 60-72 oz per pot.- NO timer or clock. (I use an Alexa smart plug when I do want to start it before I get up.)- The warming plate shuts off after 80 minutes. It would be nice to be able to chose a longer “Off-timer” when “necessary”.I realize that what I consider “Cons” are actually features that “keep it simple” and are there to produce- and keep- a nice flavorful coffee. And that IS why we will all spend that kind of money on it, right?
